“VERY BUSY!! There are so many customers rotating through here!! This tells you it’s fresh and good. The lady taking your order somehow remembers everyone and what they order. Food was decent, although I’ve had better General Tsos at other establishments. Rice, egg roll, and sweet & sour soup was good.
Super affordable and large portions
Willing to give another try.
Not a lot of seating. 90% is takeout.“

“I love Chinese if you seen anything I commented on to Nauseam. This is one of the best in Harrisburg. They have all day specials. Which really helps the wallet. Not only that but it's good. Try getting Rib Tip sauce or spicy garlic sauce on your chicken or fries.“

“I bought a few entries from Hong Kong Chef to treat my friends from New York. My friends were so surprised for the delicious food as they usually have to visit China town for such tasteful authentic cuisine. The friendly service and decent amount for each dish impressed me as well. Love to be back.“

“Dietary restrictions: A little hard to order bc of background noise/phone. Took an 1 hr & 20 mins for $40 worth. Nice driver tho & decent food. Came rly hot. Slightly bland but soy sauce or salt fixes everything ? got everything in my order.“

“Talking about never judge a book by it's cover. The place look rundown in the out side but inside it's actually not that bad, Great customer service the lady who took my order was very nice, patience and understanding. I ordered red beef curry with extra beef and broth in a soup container, let me tell you it was very delicious. The only complaint I have is they could steam the rice a little bit longer cause it was hard when I got it, besides that it's a nice chill little place.“

“A friend and I stopped in on our way back to our bnb following a concert at Hershey Stadium. It was late, we were tired yet happy, and hungry. The food here was excellent! I hadn't had egg fu young in a while, and this was very tasty! The steamed dumplings really hit the spot, and the wonton soup was very welcome on this chilly night. The broth was perfect, not too salty, not watered down at all (like other places). The gentleman at the counter was friendly and helpful. Thank you for a tasty, hot meal!“
“I have been ordering from there for years. I don't remember ever complaining. The delivery guy, the man who own the place are very kind. I love when I move and the delivery man comes to the door, and says "It you. You live here now." Great food, great service.“

“One Chinese restaurant's in the area I will eat from. I will drive 15 miles one way when I have a hankering for Chinese cuisine. I really love that they specially make Orange Shrimp for me in place of General Tso's Shrimp and love love love the shrimp toast!“

“This is a small, local business. My wife and I have been ordering food from Golden Dragon since they first opened. Rarely have we been disappointed. Most times, I rave about their Szechuan Chicken and Hot/Sour Soup. My wife really enjoys the Broccoli with garlic sauce. The atmosphere is plain as you might expect. We always order takeout.
Finally, the owner is friendly and always 'on the ball'.
We highly recommend The Golden Dragon if you're a fan of Chinese takeout.“

“General tso’s was perfect.
Crispy hot chicken, quality meat: not a ton of breading.
** (chow mein is “NY style”, not Panda Express. It is a protein served on a bed of cabbage. If you want noodles, get lo mein)
Parking: Parallel street parking, plenty of room“

“Excellent Chinese food! Always have good experiences here with food and service, the atmosphere leaves room for improvement with the open view of the kitchen things are quite cluttered and untidy at times. That aside, the steamed dumplings are some of the best ever, and they have the normal assortment of all your favorites and service is always friendly. Also recommend the general tso!“

“The food is pretty good and fresh, love the mixed vegetables, they don't skimp! Always hot, never too greasy, the wings are crisp and fresh and the pizza rolls are really good too. The building itself is somewhat clean, fast service, would recommend“
“It's unfortunate to see a number of bad reviews here. This is my husband and I's favorite take out Chinese in the immediate area (general Colonial Park area)...and we have tried many. We have never had a bad experience here once. Not only do we prefer their food over others, but the prices are much more reasonable as well (and in this economy!)...
Perhaps our experience is different because we don't order delivery. We live within a 3 mile radius, and so it has always made more sense for us to just go grab the food ourselves (for us it just makes more sense: the delivery times are always longer than if you just get it yourself, and I have a vehicle and it's not a big inconvenience to me to just go grab takeout, so why pay someone to do something I can easily do myself?). So, I can't speak for the delivery service in my evaluation.
As far as the language barrier goes, I guess it's simply what I've come to expect when ordering from a Chinese (or Italian, or Indian, or whatever...) restaurant. I don't expect an exchange of communication on the same level of an American restaurant...and I don't need that. They're short and to the point, and for me, that's all I really need (I prefer to avoid all "obligatory" small talk, if I can help it, haha).
Until something gives us a reason, this will remain our "go-to" Chinese take out. As of now, I have no complaints and only positive experiences (and we've ordered here many times). So, I guess, you'll have to decide for yourself, but I'd say it's at least worth giving this place a shot!“

“I ordered the General Tso Chicken combo and a small wonton soup through Grubhub last night. I am not a fan of fried rice, but I was absolutely blown away by the fried rice that came with the chicken, I would eat the rice by itself as a meal! The wonton soup was by far the best I have ever had. The chicken was very good. I will definitely order from here again whenever I'm in the area.“
