American breakfast? Vegetarian
This place wasn't what we expected, but we stayed and we're glad we did. The breakfast was good and the price was right. The only thing that gave it 3 stars for atmosphere was of no fault of the owner. It was this guy and teenager being loud and cussing.

State Cafe is a popular spot for locals and those working in the downtown capital area. The restaurant serves excellent food with generous portions at reasonable prices. The menu offers a variety of dishes, including the Western omelet, pancakes, bacon, and fried potatoes, as well as a $9 meatloaf with double mash. While service can be slow due to understaffing, the friendly staff, including one hardworking server, make an effort to provide good service. Overall, State Cafe is a great option for a satisfying meal.
