“My friend and I enjoyed a delicious meal. We couldn’t believe it was so tasty! we enjoyed the Reuben, crab cake sandwich and tomato lentil soup. We appreciated the biodegradable spoon but we wish it wasn’t so flat and was more of a scoop for the soup. Can’t wait to return!“

“My husband and I went to Meadowlark Bakery and Cafe this morning after learning that they hosted a Thanksgiving dinner for those who needed a place to go. We try to support places that support those in the community and do good. We’ve been there before for coffee and pastries, which are amazing, but we never had any other food. We have been missing out! We both got a breakfast sandwich and they were amazing! My biscuit was light and buttery, our eggs were perfectly fried, and both sandwiches had generous amounts of breakfast meat and came with tots. They had a wonderful Santa for the kids and a nice warm enclosed area for eating. Meadowlark, thank you for being a part of our community and helping those in need. It does not go unnoticed and we will absolutely be back to support you, your business, delicious food, and the good you are doing!“

The baristas are great - all of them. The coffee house itself is bare bones, yet clean and cozy. You have the option to sit outside if you like. “Ok may so I’ve been here twice. My first time the vibes were very nonchalant. I got a decaf drink and it was very good. My second time, the vibes were a bit better and my coffee was very good again, it’s just 7.20 for a small latte is a bit looney to me. All this for me to say, the coffee is good here, if you want to pay a bit more w little interaction. Not saying it’s a bad thing, just different strokes for different folks.“

While the menu was interesting, seems like the kitchen was having issues with execution. Needed another couple runners and probably two more waiters/waitresses with a full house. Won't go back for food but if the music is good would get a seat at the bar.“

I highly suggest putting a sign outside that highlights your business to people driving by because I thought this area was closed for months just walking by it. “What the heck did I get myself into. I googled cafes in this part of town because I was on a Sunday morning business trip. I pull up to the cafe with two entry doors which said members only……. Hesitant, I still proceeded to enter. Unsure of what I was going to encounter I felt like Liam Neesen in the movie Taken. It was a cafe filled with Eastern Europeans from middle age to elderly men mostly smoking cigars and cigarettes, mind you it’s 830am Sunday morning. I walked over to the cafe and asked for an espresso to go. Great coffee and great environment. This has to be the coolest cafe I have ever visited, I wish I got the gentleman’s name who pulled my shot he was really nice. Not sure if I was allowed to enter or not, hopefully I can come back and have a conversation along with another espresso.“

“We originally went for the Sushi to this kosher restaurant in Northeast Philadelphia on Castor Avenue -- but instead we enjoyed and could not have enough of: Halomi Salad and Mushroom Wheel. One was in a friendly, family environment that went over backwards to please you-- and it felt like you were being take care of by family -- in a small comfortable town in Israel. The Halomi salad's taste reminded one of someplace in the Galil that was so good and so impossible to find of any quality anywhere in the whole US; the mushroom wheel so unique and tasty that it could not be forgotten.“
