“A local breakfast must go-to! If you're looking for a spot for breakfast on the weekend this is the place. I love breakfast and there is something for everyone. We started with coffee, which was perfectly brewed and piping hot. My entree was the short stack buttermilk pancakes, bacon and a scrambled egg. Our second entree was an acalpulco omelet with chorizo, cheese jalepeno(excluded), onions, home fries( added green peppers and onions) wheat toast. The bacon was delicious, crispy and cooked perfectly. There is also a lunch menu. We will definitely return for breakfast. Coffee was piping hot and really good! I usually brew my coffee at home but coffee was a must on Sunday morning“

“It’s an unassuming spot in south Philly. You’re walking and out of nowhere, there it is. My friend and I went at noon on a Sunday, it was packed but honestly moved quickly. You order at the counter and then squeeze in the minimal seating. Even though at first I was thinking it was going to be a long process the line moved fast and people rotated out of their seats timely so my friend and I were able to get seats together with ease. We split the chicken congee and the breakfast sandwich and some vegetable fritters. Everything. Was soooo good. Could be considered one of the best breakfast sandwiches in the city. The beef bacon is really what it’s about. And the chicken congee was amazing, so much going on, lots of flavors and so comforting. Overall 10/10 will be going back.“

“Today I stopped at The Hungry A. I have driven buy there many times. As I walked in the owners and people in there all greeted me like they know me. I had a coffee and it was one of the best I ever had. The breakfast sandwich was delicious. I will be be back. But what really got to me I walk with a cane and one of the girls there saw I was having a hard time she came around the counter and took what I was carrying and helped me to my car. Today there are not many people that are kind as she was. It made me know that there is still kind people in this world. If every would take the time to be kind to someone just once maybe it could be a start to make this world just a little better“

“The breakfast experience is always amazing. With my daughter and son-in-law and their son Jordan and daughter Noelle. The waitresses are fantastic. Judy runs a great eatery. And it shows. The other customers are always friendly when we converse with them. And my grandson, Jordan Thomas is on their Facebook page. He just loves the waitresses at Apple Walmart.“

“I read all the positive reviews and had to check it out for myself. I have always found it difficult to find something as simple as a good breakfast place. But this time i found it! The second I walked in, I was impressed. The hostess greeted me immediately and with a smile. I asked if I should order now and she smiled and explained that she'd take my order and she'll bring it to me. It was very pleasant. The store itself is clean and bright. I ordered two eggs medium, sausage patties,home fries with peppers and onions, rye toast with a little butter and a medium coffee. Everything was made exactly as I ordered it. The portions were generous and the coffee was great. Thirteen bucks for all that. Perfect. I'll be back.“

“Perfect little hole-in-the-wall breakfast spot. Counter-serve with about 10 two-top tables. Very reasonable prices. It’s almost like they haven’t gotten the memo that everything is really expensive all of a sudden. Delightful Korean ladies taking orders and delivering food to the tables. “My daughter and I used to eat at Maman. My daughter is 8. However, Maman drove us out of their restaurant with low quality service and a harassment in us being there for just one hour during our meal. Then we found Nudy's cafe. What's different.... food is better, service is better, cost is lower, and overall atmosphere is way better. Each one of the waiters and waitresses can only be described as outstanding. Nobody pushed us to leave after finishing our meal. My wife has a medical obligation and this is a welcoming place for me and my little girl to hang out while we wait for that to be over. Maman would have threatened us to leave with their Supreme leader ideology. Nudy's makes us feel at home. So if you want higher priced lower quality food with poor service, go to maman. If you want, quality service, polite and outstanding employees, top notch food, and a relaxed environment....go to Nudy's.“

“If you need a hot made to order meal that is filling, stop by this lil spot. No dine in option and cash only but you get the bang for the buck. You can call in an order as well. Had to get a Philly n fries which was pretty good. They serve breakfast as well. The servings are decent size and they make sure you get all your condiments.“

“I've Been eating here twice a week at least for the last 3 months. I can't get enough of their food. Juicy cheesteaks and chicken cheesteaks, PHENOMENAL fries served with real cheese Wiz. After I place my order over the phone, I actually get excited about it.

She’s going to lose staff and customers if she doesn’t learn to be more pleasant. But overall a nice diner like atmosphere and food was good. I ordered a waffle with bananas and walnuts. As a first time customer, I suppose the number of people was because their food was as good as mine. “The food is tasty, and the prices are very reasonable. For a little over $8, I got a platter of scrambled eggs, pork bacon, and cheese grits. Toast comes with it - they have both white and wheat bread - If it was extra, it was only by a dollar or so.
They used to have multiple tables that you could sit and eat at, but not anymore. The back of the restaurant looks like they're renovating, so those tables are not there. That is the only reason I didn't give the atmosphere 5 stars. However, there is one long table up front. There are no chairs, but on it are the various condiments: ketchup, maple syrup, salt and pepper, hot sauce, etc. My fiancé and I didn't want to eat on the train we were waiting to catch, so we ate at that same long table. Standing up and eating was the better option than trying to eat on a fast-moving train and/or bus.

“At first looks the place is a little plain and empty. A few out of service drink coolers , a single rack with chips and cookies, and 2 PA skill machines (which I played while I waited for my food). But the place is very clean and you have an open view of the kitchen which I always appreciate as a customer. Prices were reasonable and the food preparation and presentation were notably good. “Being as though I lived in this neighborhood my entire life, I can say that I have never seen this business fall off. They have been a staple since I was young and more than likely beyond that.

The food is the exact type of breakfast food you are looking for. Nothing is over cooked or over seasoned. The food is so good, I find it hard to eat the entire platter at times. It is located in the Strawberry Mansion neighborhood, so the environment may not be appealing to some. However, there is no denying or questioning their food and the quality.

Parking: The store is located on a corner. The only place you can't park are the bus stops. However, you can park across the street, behind the bus stops, and along the side the diner.

Wheelchair accessibility: There are no stairs to enter, simply a small ramp. Additionally, tables are low and you can rearrange them to fit your needs.“

My main issue is the lack of consistency, it seems like different baristas and cooks have their own ways of making things, which is fine, but I personally feel consistency is super important in food service.“
