“Love it here! Food and drinks are amazing! Be sure to try the kimchi fried rice, dumplings and sake! It's a little tight with seating arrangements so you have to be comfortable with being close to others. It's also very dark/dim lighting that some may be uncomfortable to eat it. The staff's nice but sometimes booking on RESY your booking may not appear for the hostess. Find alternate or be prepared for that to happen and you be asked to wait.“

“First time here. More like 4.5 stars. Overall, I like this place. It’s well decorated—interior design is thoughtful and tasteful, not tacky. It shares parking in the back with several other small establishments. Today it’s pouring outside, so it’s extra quiet. Yet I can imagine parking may be challenging on a sunny day.Food-wise, I think their sushi rolls are better than their ramen—I’m just not into their noodle’s texture. Their sushi rolls are of decent size and quality in their respective price category.Service is friendly. My only reservation today is: The restaurant is noticeably cold, as if they didn’t turn on the heat.“

“The sushi was really good. We had the red dragon roll and another combination roll with eel that were delicious. The staff was really friendly. The dining room is very casual and more like you'd find at a dinner, but it was quiet, so it was a nice place for conversation.“

“Found amidst other small businesses and shops in the heart of Bryn Mawr, Yamazaki Ramen might just be the cozy culinary hideaway your taste buds need. It's a modest space, sure, but what it lacks in grandeur, it compensates with a soul-warming embrace, a friendly nod, and bowls of ramen that could easily steal the show in any food lover's heart. Now, let's talk about the star of our gastronomic journey--the Yamazaki Special ramen. This bowl is more than just a meal; it's a warm embrace on a cold day, a melody of flavors that sings a harmonious ode to traditional Tonkotsu ramen. With its rich pork-bone soup, tender roast pork, and an ensemble of bamboo shoots, kikurage mushrooms, red ginger, scallions, and a perfectly poached egg, it's a dish that doesn't just satisfy hunger; it nourishes the soul.Alongside this noodle nirvana, we ventured into the realm of the Gyudon Rice Bowl. Here, we found a comforting assembly of sliced beef, onions, and pickled ginger atop a bed of rice, all gently hugged by a sweet dashi sauce. The seasoned boiled egg added a nice touch, though the dish played more of a supporting role to the show-stopping ramen. It's still a solid choice for those craving a bit of variety, offering a satisfying culinary experience.Yamazaki Ramen stands as a testament to the joys of simple, heartfelt cooking. In this unassuming spot, you'll find dishes crafted with care, flavors that linger long after the last bite, and a reminder of the quiet power of a well-made bowl of ramen. So, if find yourself in Bryn Mawr and in search of a quick & tasty bite, Yamazaki Ramen checks all of the boxes.“

“This place is a gem. Fast and friendly service, the best ginger dressing on a house salad I have ever tasted. The freshest fish you will find on the main line. The rice was served at the perfect temperature. The owners and staff are the nicest people you will ever meet. If I could only eat at one restaurant for the rest of my life, this would be the one.“

“Our group, which has been sampling custom sushi roll offerings around the Montgomery, Delaware, and Chester County (PA) region for over 15 years, believes we've landed on a new standard-setter with Osushi in Wayne. Beautiful presentation; excellent service; and fabulous, fresh, varied rolls. We'll be back!“

“Excellent quality sushi! My family ordered a couple sushi combos and a special roll and everything was super fresh and absolutely delicious. Best sushi I had on a long time (inmy opinion, in terms of ramen and sushi it beats some otherJapanese restaurants in the area)“

“Took my daughter here for a lunch date. Overall the food was good. We both agreed that the gyoza was the best part of the meal. I had teriyaki salmon and she had beef ramen which were both good. The service was great and we didn’t have to wait long for our food.“

“Just two focused homies making the best quick sushi, sashimi, nori etc. it’s a counter with maybe 8 seats and it feels so informal but right to the point. I got the valentines roll and the fresh red tuna was so buttery soft. I loved it. Also don’t skip the sashimi platter!! Great place for any quick satisfying meal. Lots of people come through for takeout so it’s incredibly busy but they are efficient. Order at least 30 mins ahead so you’re not waiting too long - They are very busy on Friday nights.“

“My go-to in the food court! They have the sweetest staff. Although the food may seem pricy, they give a GREAT portion that could last two meals. Fish is fresh, and they load your bowl up pretty well. Love their boba as well - I usually stick to the fruit teas, but you get a lot for the price, and it’s really good :)“

“we really enjoyed it. we are from DC, visiting the city. Zama is unlike the sushi spots in our area. Zama had more creative flavors and presentation. Also the buns were delicious. Staff was knowledgeable and helpful. And the space wasn't so large that the staff would forget about you.“

“The food is really good. I loved the kimbob and the steamed pork dumpling is very good too. I would love to go to this place regularly. Although they need to update their online menu and the prices because the prices i saw on here google menu isn’t what they have in the restaurant. Might have adjusted due to inflation - understandable. but recommend to the owner to update on google menu too.“

“Located in a small strip center with a small parking lot and across the street from a much bigger lot, Osushi is a gem. We arrived for a late lunch. We started with the tofu miso soup (would prefer more tofu) that was tasty and a larger than typical serving. The tuna dumpling, tricolor tobiko roll, and the Naruto roll are pictured. The tuna dumpling included mango which compliments the overall taste. The visual appeal of every dish was outstanding (see the attached pictures). While a bit pricey, there's no denying the quality.Parking: There's a single line of parking in this steep center with a much larger public lot immediately across the street“

“So happy i found this place and finally tried it. Fairly new and luckily 5 min drive from me. Chill vibes inside. Food was on point! I came towards the night my first time with my bf. wish I got my server's name but she was very attentive and encouraged me to try things in my dish i kept avoiding lol. We got gyoza which is made with chicken (big plus I avoid pork) spicy tuna roll, salmon teriyaki and the Gyu Don. Had to come again the same week. This time ordered the Fuki Spicy Miso Pork Ramen and replaced it with beef. Same server w/ a younger man, still a great time.“

“The food and service were amazing here! My boyfriend and I went on a late night post workout date night here. The host/server greeted us with a smile, and came to take our order pretty fast. She asked us how we were doing, and we had a friendly conversation. She was great at giving helpful suggestions on what to order. The ramen is fantastic here! The sushi, pork dumplings were delicious! The bubble tea, and desserts were great as well! All in all, our experience there was amazing and I would highly recommend it! We enjoyed listening to the music that the restaurant played as well!“

“We ordered on DoorDash. The bag was stapled at the top to be held upwards but the food was sideways. My rolls got soaked in sauce. Not a terrible thing but I’d prefer they were crispy. Highly recommend a different bagging/to go technique. The food was delicious nonetheless. I enjoyed everything in my bento box. The miso soup was good too. The dumplings were tasty but i had to pick out the beans/green vegetables was on it. Personal preference but other than that i will definitely order again. The salad was good wish it were more but it was a lunch combo so not complaining at all. Their ginger salad dressing was amazing.“

“I love Kawa. It’s my favorite sushi restaurant so far and I’ve gone to tons of sushi restaurants in the past and in Japan. The presentation is beautiful, the servings are healthy, and the rice is just ?? delicioso. The servers are so kind and attentive. We love them. Also shoutout to the sushi chefs for being so talented and awesome. We always get their Toro and Uni sushi. Next on the list is hamachi, smoked salmon and tamago. Everything we’ve had was delicious and we’ve never been disappointed with what we end up getting. The only thing that sucks is when my gf and I are craving Kawa and we realize it’s Monday…We also try to limit going there to only once a month but we always break the rule.“

“Loved the aesthetic and delicious sushi! The fish was quality! A lot of sushi places around here can get pretty crazy with what they put on rolls but Miyake has knocked it out of the park with its wonderfully balanced rolls. We didn't partake in the specials but it looks like they frequently change things up so we should always have something fun to try!“

“The sushi and sashimi is unbelievably fresh. The quality is noticeable from the appearance of the sashimi to the taste of the rolls. “Machi sushi was very good! It wasn't the best sushi in the city, but it is one of the best values! Some takeout sushi tends to be not as good, but this wasn't the case at all. The food was perfectly timed and everything was very enjoyable. We ordered Tricolor sushi tuna, salmon, yellowtail), tuna roll, Tornado roll, eel (unagi) sushi, spring rolls, miso soup for two people. It was a perfect amount of food and a perfect value. Ordering online was very easy, and pickup was also very easy. The staff working were very nice. The restaurant itself is small but I would definitely be back for some more takeout sushi!“

“Hidden gem! We were randomly searching for a simple sushi dinner and found this spot in google which is not that far from home. The food was amazing especially for the price that they offer. We were doubting at first because the restaurant looks quite and blah but when we got our order and tasted it, it was really good. I recommend this spot to everyone craving for a satisfaction of sushi and bento meals. We got the NY steak bento and chicken katsu bento btw and the serving was big!“

“Always enjoy the vibe and service at New Leaf. Enjoyed seating outside. Service was attentive, food was delicious. Always love their sushi. Eye pleasing, fresh and tasty. My favorite is always the salt & pepper squid. As good as what I've enjoyed in China town. I'm fact I think I like it better. Singapore noodles are always a go to. The surprise was the sweet and sour chicken. I've never had big meaty pieces of chicken for this dish. We were stuffed for our party of two when left. The best part, we can have leftovers today!“

“Came here in between work hours and was greeted by the loveliest staffs! I let them know I was in a rush and they were so very accommodating. Food came out very fast, staffs were attentive, and their service was phenomenal. Probably one of the best services I've received at a local sushi joint. There was not that many people when I went around lunch time but still I could tell they cared about each customers experience by the way they treated everyone, including the people picking up their food. The food was also pretty solid and proportions of rice to fish was good. The environment was clean and dark. It felt cozy and intimate. Would definitely come head again even if I was hear without work. 4.5/5 for overall experience!“

“My daughter said that she was looking to have sushi for lunch today, so we decided to give Herosame in Ardmore a try. Wow, this is one of the best sushi meals we've had in the Philly area and definitely on the Main Line. I called in our takeout order and the server who took our order was very friendly and polite as was the server who brought us our order while we waited in the vestibule. We ordered the Lunch Shrimp Teriyaki Bento Box and the Lunch Triple Roll Combo. Wow! I thought they had accidentally give us another person's order as the bags were quite heavy. Both lunch specials could easily be split over two meals or at least a meal and a leftovers snack. The Lunch Shrimp Teriyaki Bento Box included a small house salad, a pint of Miso Soup, 2 Shumai, a California Roll, 6 large Teriyaki Shrimp and a pint of steamed white rice. The salad was a crisp and refreshing spring mix with thinly shredded carrots and a halved grape tomato with a delicious dressing. The Miso soup was very rich and tasty. The Shumai were delicious with a nice crisp exterior, but soft, tender and enjoyable meat inside. The California Roll was huge and stuffed with super fresh crab stick and vegetables topped off with tobiko. The Teriyaki Shrimp were just a hair overcooked, but still delicious. The Three Roll Lunch Combo featured a choice of three rolls from a list of twenty different rolls so my daughter picked the Shrimp Avocado Roll, Tempura Roll and Philly Roll. All three rolls, just like my Bento Box's California Roll were huge with the Shrimp Tempura Rolls being gigantic. One piece of the tempura roll was at least twice the size of other sushi rolls I've had. Each roll was stuffed with the traditional meats and veggie fillings. Everything was so fresh and delicious! Herosame will definitely be on our family's list for future Japanese lunches and dinners!“

“This was my late mother's favorite restaurant, and also my teenage son's favorite restaurant. I didn't realize that they were going to close this beautiful location, so it was very special that we went there for my son's birthday celebration! “Portions are small and food is ok (we had the crab fried rice and tuna tataki). The tuna was flavorless. We didn’t drink but they seem to have an extensive drink menu so maybe there is more to offer cocktail-wise. I liked the atmosphere and the service was good. “One of our favorite places in Bryn Mawr. The food was absolutely spectacular and our server was absolutely delightful. they had something new on the menu and the enthusiasm of our server convinced us to try it and she was absolutely spot on! We also got the Bryn Mawr roll, because we were there to drop our youngest off at Bryn Mawr for freshman year. We ended up ordering two rounds of rolls and man do I wish I had room for more because they were ALL fantastic, but I am still drooling over that Bryn Mawr roll. It's not the most "exciting" but it was just PERFECT. I really can't wait to go visit my kid and go to Sushi Land again!!!“

“Everyone and everything at Umai Umai last night was spectacular! We decided on Umai Umai based on positive reviews and we liked that they were a byob. Our service was 5 star all the way. Our server was perfectly attentive, professional, and personable. She timed our many apps to insure they all had a place on the table and dinner was delicious. This is the best part...we were celebrating one of our guest’s birthday, however they didn’t serve desserts last night. So the manager actually went to Whole Foods and bought us a cake. He called me to ask for her name to be put on the cake and what flavour as well! The staff all came out at the perfect time and sang Happy Birthday!! “Super convenient location with parking. Excellent vegetable tempura the best I've had from a small business. The steamed dumplings were also excellent. I'm used to crispier Gen Tao, but the sauce had a nice kick. Take out or dine in.
