“My husband & I organized a little 3 nite get-away to Woodloch Resort (Pines area) for ourselves, 3 other couples & one single friend. We are all in our 60s so everyone has had years to solidly determine they like their creature comforts. We are a pretty well-traveled group so some not easily impressed. Hubby, myself & our single friend have all been to Woodloch a few times & love it! We have never visited in November & hoped there would be enough for us to do. Planning to please 6 other adults left us with fingers-crossed, as inevitably there is always someone who feels a restaurant, hotel, etc. didn't quite meet their expectations. However for this trip, every person LOVED it!! The check-in is not until 5:00 pm but we were allowed to get our wristbands & enjoy the amenities of the resort while we waited for a text that our room was ready. The 3 couples each had Deluxe Lakeview accommodations in the Greenbriar bldg., attached to main building. They were thrilled with the beautiful view each morning from their room or while on their private balcony/patio. They were able to walk to the dining room, night club/show area, sports bar, or lobby which was our usual meeting point, all without going outside. They were right there for mini-golf, bocci, etc. For those traveling with kids it is close to the big playground, water slide in summer or snowtubing in winter, pedal boats or rowboats. My husband, friend & I shared an Edgewater Suite which had a full kitchen, a large bedroom with 2 queen beds, living room with pull out sleeper couch which my friend said was comfortable (but that's based on someone who regularly falls asleep lying on her couch - LOL) & a washer & dryer. Very spacious. It was a little bit of a walk to the main bldg which was no issue for hubs & me but my friend has walking issues. No problem there - there were 3 shuttles that ran right up until midnight. Never a long wait & at times we called the front desk if we knew she just missed it & another shuttle was immediately dispatched. When she asked an employee for a safe way to walk down to the pontoon boat ride as to not go down a somewhat steep walkway they offered to call for a golf cart ride & were right there with it. The one word to describe every employee would be "Accommodating!" Now, of course, food is also important. We had a meal plan that included breakfast & dinner. Both meals each day were plentiful, very good, good variety (breakfast standard crowd-pleasers of eggs any style, home fries, bacon/sausage/turkey bacon, & their homemade bread & morning cake (amazing crumb cake one day, an apple crumb another, etc.), or egg white frittata for those seeking a healthier alternative, just to name a few. Dinner always had homemade soup, family style serving of salad & veggie plus 4 entree choices that included an option for non-meat eaters. Of course, those delicious homemade breads were right there for the taking. Even when stuffed you must try their made-on-premises creamy ice cream. So delicious! The wait staff was attentive & pleasant. Jorge was our waiter for the first couple of days & just the nicest guy always greeting us even when not assigned to our table. Although lunch was not in our plan there was a Deli at the Inn at Woodloch that we visited each day. Homemade soup was great & a large choice of made to order sandwiches The sandwich price was generally a reasonable $10 & for the amt on that sandwich & given the fact Boars Head cold cuts are used I felt that was more than fair. Those with a family could always buy cold cuts & fresh Italian bread from another deli/store by the gas station within the resort premises & make their own. Each room has a fridge. There were plenty of activities: Name that Tune, Minute to Win it, bocci, mini-golf, pedal boats still operating in this cool weather, Go-Carts, & these senior citizens even went into child mode & did the bumper cars! “This place was spectacular. Delicious food and interesting drinks. A slight upscale feel to it (anything labeled chophouse). It was pricey for the area, but not in the world of upscale restaurants. “Omg!! Where do I start...the woman who answers the phone is ALWAYS very pleasant...food is ALWAYS HOT, fresh, and so delicious!!! I ❤️ the Antipasto salad, the Reno's Prosciutto Hero, Balsamic Eggplant Hero, Reno's Italian Hero, Penne Ala Vodka just to name a few!! “Best pizza around. When my family comes up from Florida, they Make a special trip to pick up a few pizzas. My personal favorite is the Bacon Pizza.Service is wonderful. You may have a long wait, especially if you don't order ahead...which is fine, because that is a testament to the delicious food!And, what could be better than a pizza place? I love the new location, and especially enjoy the outward appearance of a cabin! They do have a nice dining area, but we've always done takeout. This is a family owned business, and they are just really great people.“

“This is truly a hidden gem you can blink and pass it. I was hungry and pulled in on the journey from Long Island to my house in Honesdale. Where is fear is very charming and gives you the feeling of going back in time. I strolled in a little after 4 o'clock when they open and found out that they have an early bird for $15.99. I said at the bar and Ordered Cajun seafood. I cannot believe in this day and time how much food and of what grade quality I had for 1599. He dinner rolls or something you would have at a five star restaurant the salad was perfect and the seafood was perfect I am back here now one week later enjoying the same experience“

“My wife and I visited this place for the first time. There are not a lot of tables in the place and a lot of space between them. We were invited to sit, later they told us the table was reserved, but later they told us (again) that we don’t have to move. They apologized for the misunderstanding.Other than that moment, everything else was good. The food was good, the service, the wine and the salad.I got the pasta with scallops and I liked it.The prices were aceptable as well. No complaints on that.If I am around, I will visit again. “Decent place with open atmosphere, pleasant service and pretty good food.A friend and I tried the following items: tortellini soup, mango habanero wings, caprese salad, plain pizza, chicken bacon ranch pizza and eggplant parmesan.Really enjoyed the pizza's. Everything else was decent.Parking: Street parking in front of the building. Saturday night there was plenty of open spaces, but not sure about daytime during working hours of the week.“
“We went with friends to enjoy dinner and discussion. The food was fantastic! And there was so much of it we took it home for dinner the next night which made the value even greater. Our server was on top of everything from drinks to special requests. The only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 for the atmosphere is because we were seated in the bar area versus the dining room. I prefer the dining room as it is less busy and noisy. Overall, The Ridge made it a wonderful evening with our friends!“
