“my best friend's mother passed and I heard that nobody was bringing food to the funeral home they were going to be there all day from 2:00 till 8:00 at night I called around to a few places they were all booked nobody could squeeze me in I called the water front Giant eagle the gentleman put me on hold and checked with his manager and the manager said since it was such an emergency he was squeezing me in. the food was done on time it was perfect. “Drove an hour and a half for these cookies and I’ll definitely be going it again in the future! These are by far some of the best cookies I have ever eaten! Got a dozen chocolate chip and just a variety of some of the other cookies and donuts they had available and man, I wish I would have gotten more. The staff was incredible, even gave us stickers when they heard how far we drove just for the cookies! If you’re in the area or down for an adventure, I HIGHLY recommend stopping in! 🍪🤤“

“When you don't have any homemade cookies on hand, Good L'Oven cookies are the next best thing! The Salted Sea Turtle is my favorite cookie. If you're in downtown Pittsburgh on Thursdays, they sell cookies at the Farmers Market. If you're visiting their shop at lunch, they also have a great buffalo chicken wrap. Definitely stop at Good L'Oven when you have a chance!“

“This cookie/sandwich shop has risen to the top in so many ways! We live in FL and our daughter lives in Pittsburgh and it was her birthday. I looked up cookie places and GoodL’Oven cookie shop in Bellevue popped up, I liked the name so I gave them a call😁 Next was where the experience began, I spoke to John, the baker, who listened to my story like he had all the time in the world, he navigated me thru their delicious cookie menu and which cookies are the people pleasers, then I decided to order sandwiches which he recommended the French Connection & Muffalata. But to top it off, (they are typically not a delivery place) he arranged to have my order delivered to my daughter’s place! She was so surprised and raved about the cookies and Sammie’s! In this day and age, there are not many people or places that go beyond, but John, you were OVER THE TOP! Thank you for making my day AND our daughter’s! Can’t wait to meet you in person next time we visit😁“

I rattled off a list of random pastries and bread items. She got it all together RQ, boxed bagged and the transaction was seamless. I wish they had a tip jar! “Stopped here on a whim while visiting Pittsburgh for the weekend. We were looking to grab a coffee and pastry and found this place close to where we were headed. Let me tell you. I would come here every day!! Delicious. We had an almond croissant, hazelnut croissant and brought some bread home. Just slices the olive loaf. I cannot explain how delicious it is. Keep doing a great job. We will be back when we visit the city again!!“

“A friend asked me to pick up a turtle cheesecake. I go here and the lady says we don’t have any made but I have a carrot cheesecake. So I took that and caught “heck” from my friend because it wasn’t what she asked for. I explained that they didn’t have any so she called and was told yes we have 3 turtle cheesecakes. Last time I buy anything there.“

“We tried Dosa Cupcakes for the first time and we are so happy we did! The cupcakes were beautiful as well as delicious and not too sweet! We tried the blueberry lemon, the chocolate peanut butter and the strawberry pretzel salad cupcake (great for sweet and salty)…all 3 fantastic! We also tried the shortbread dippers too..so good! I wish we took pictures of our goodies but we ate them too fast!! Also what a friendly couple running this business! Always outgoing and willing to spend time describing their cupcakes to customers with a smile. Also come to find out they have a store front too in Pitcairn and they do much more than just cupcakes. When you see them out and about…. Definitely give them a try!“

Erin was wonderful! She brought out the reading trackers for all our students, and surprised us with their yummy Bundt cakes for our staff! Thank you so much for your support, and the absolutely delicious Bundt cakes! I can’t wait to get our kids started, so they can receive their yummy Bundlet!! The service was also excellent, the woman at the counter was so lovely and kind, she went the extra mile and even brought us out a free coffee to have with our biscotti. “I love this place, favorite South Hills bakery! Their pierogi are incredible, and my favorite of the baked goods selection is the lady lock (but it's all great). The vibe in there is super cozy, old school neighborhood bakery, affordable. I recommend them to everyone.“

The store is immaculate, and one of my favorite things is the double door system at the entrance which deters insects, varmints, and unsanitary conditions that come along with those. Oh, you can also watch the pitas being made through the glass wall as they come off the conveyor and get ready to come to your house.“

“I follow the bakery on Instagram, and I kept seeing those biscuit breakfast sandwiches that looked amazing. Then when I saw the cinnamon rolls & the chocolate snack cakes, I knew I had to make the journey from the North Hills to try them. When I got there, I ordered the cinnamon roll and a brisket, egg & cheddar biscuit breakfast sandwich with no bbq sauce. I was sad that they didn't have the chocolate snack cakes. I asked the young lady who waited on me when was the best time to catch the snack cakes? She said she would check with the bakers. She came back and said that if I was willing to wait, it would only be a few minutes for them to get iced. I waited of course and when I got home, I smelled it and boy oh boy did it smell and look awesome!!! Shout out to the young lady that waited on me. She really went above and beyond. Everything was delicious!!!!“
