“The people were just wonderful they were crowded but they let me relax and enjoy my food. They were happy to guide me as well as educate me on anything I wanted to learn about related to the food. I got a recommendation for the Turkish sausage panini. It was filled with cubes of sausage similar to pepperoni but more cumin forward-which I happen to love. It had copious amounts of cheese and cooked to perfection with just a kiss of golden brown on the cheese, with soft ciabatta with slightly crisp exterior. What also pleasantly surprised me that was that it was not greasy. It came with a very lightly dressed side salad which was perfect to break up the richness of the sandwich.
I had a pistachio latte that had notes of cherry flavor. I have also enjoyed the pot pomegranate tea. A light refreshing juiciness with lemon zest- but not too sour. Just delightful. They were busy but I did not have to wait. I am already planning my trip back for the chocolate pistachio crepes! Do you think tomorrow would be too soon?“

“Bosphorus has the tastiest lamb kebabs, as well as an interesting selection of different types of grilled lamb and chicken, served with a delicious salad, sauce and rice. There are great vegetarian options, too and the owner/server has a great memory for your preferences. Outdoor seating was pleasantly shaded, and indoor is of course also available.“

“First time ordering at a halal joint outside of NYC and was not disappointed. Beef Schwarma is mouth watering. Appreciated an extra slice of pita for my picky child that was given on the house too!“

“This was my first time here and expected something else but I did order and the food was absolutely amazing. I got the Shawarma Supreme Wrap. I was impressed as I had no clue what I was actually ordering. The baklava was very good. I will stop back in“

“Good Mediterranean cantina, either tasty traditional food.
We ordered the hummus with chicken, which came with a generous portion and tasted great. The beef shawarma was flavorful, though in my opinion it could have used a bit more protein.

Overall, everything was tasty. The only small disappointment was the garlic sauce — it felt more like a garlic mayonnaise, we were expecting a traditional toum. Still, a solid spot with good food.“

“Parking is incredibly tough for a first timer in the area. I spent a solid ten minutes looking for parking. If you're parking on Forbes expect to pay $2 on the street for 1.5 hr parking.

The food was 4/5 for sure. I wouldn't say 5/5 as it's missing some flavor for me to make it 5/5. However, it tasted really well. My wife went with ground chicken adana which she was pleased with. I too had the Chicken Kebab.

“We enjoyed our first visit to The Forge. Julia and Abby provided great service and the food options were excellent and in line with our expectations. We had the drunken mushrooms, a chicken souvlaki dish and a Margherita Pizza....more than enough for 2 as dinner. The service was great, atmosphere enjoyable and food was very good. Bonus...you can park in the parking lot next door for free....great feature for Lawrenceville. Wine list is limited...but our chardonnay was acceptable (an upgrade would be nice). We will return with family and friends. We are told weekend are busy but our Wednesday night was quiet and enjoyable.“

“I placed a takeout order at the Fox Chapel (Pittsburgh) location on 3/29, around 5pm. I live in SE Virginia and my son’s father lives in Aspinwall, we were meeting 1/2 way in Maryland for spring break so I asked him if he’d pick up and take out order for me at the FC restaurant, and bring it with him and our son. (Nothing in my area compares to Aladdin’s!!). When I called, an amazing woman answered the phone, I asked ONLY if they could put the sauce on the side for my Shawarma so it wasn’t soggy 8 hours later when I’d be home to eat! Without second thought, she offered to make both of the Shawarma’s “deconstructed” with everything separate so I could “build” the wraps myself!! I also ordered the Dawali! When my ex handed me the bag and went to the cooler to get my food, I noticed what the crew had done…. They put everything in separate takeout containers and even wrote instructions on the Dawali container for me to heat, when I got home!! Everything was separate and the amount of extra time that was spent on the order was above and beyond!! It may seem simple, but for them to take the time and effort to make sure my food was just as good as it would have been if I ate in the store was really refreshing!! So THANK YOU to the Fox Chapel location for packing my order with such attention and my ex will be bringing a cooler with Shawarma’s and Diwali’s each time we meet in Maryland!!!“

“Really nice place for a good time and tasty food! I am actually quite impressed with how tasty the food was here. This place serves a variety of food items, from American burgers to Middle Eastern wraps. It seems like they are best known for their saj, so that's what I ordered. I tried the Arabic chicken shawarma saj with French fries.

It was delicious! The price was quite fair for the decently large portion. The chicken was cooked well and had nice spices with it. There was a sauce to put it all together. It was creamy and truly delicious. Some nice pickles for crunch, and the wrap itself was also pretty good. Very nice!

The French fries were kind of mediocre. They didn't have a ton of flavor to them and weren't that crispy. I would have probably been fine without them, or if I could, would have traded them for another side.

All in all, the main course (the saj) was delicious! I definitely recommend this place for some cheap food and a nice experience.

“Love the gyros, prices are very reasonable, but I hate that its cash only. They have an ATM in the store which is very convenient, but having to pay a fee to get cash is a pain.. Store has been the same vibes every since they opened, you just can't dine in anymore. All in all, definitely worth it.“
