“Besides the food being absolutely amazing, like outstanding, they have wonderful employees who you can tell work extremely hard and build rapport with their customers. You never see a single employee standing around or on their phones. They are helpful and accommodating. When you get a slice, they’ll even grate fresh cheese on it. This place is a gem.“

I do think it’s silly they don’t take cash tips, they should have a little tip container i paid for my order cash and couldn’t leave a tip.

The stir-fried shrimp with noodles was delicious, and the fruit topped it off perfectly. I enjoyed every bite. Valencia took great care of me and even called me by name, which meant a lot. She also made sure I was comfortable with how my food was packed.

The pizza was solid: plenty of cheese, good sauce, and a nice balance overall. Staff was friendly. I’ll consider trying one of their sandwiches next time I stop by, they look good. “A lowkey spot but great food and very clean. We so happened to stumble upon it and we were genuinely pleased from the 1st bite. We over heard someone picking up take out say that it was the best sushi he’s had and it was true. The price was great too. One plate of fried rice was enough to satisfy 2 people and then had about 18 pieces of sushi in total. Once finished, it didn’t make you feel sluggish and gross after eating. Great to see an owner who truly cares about their craft and customers. We’ll be back!“

“Hoagie Hut is one of those rare spots that just gets everything right. The sandwiches are amazing and the customer service is even better. The owners make you feel welcome the second you walk in, and I appreciate that because you can tell they really love what they do.

I was greeted with a big smile by Theresa. She was so kind to listen to my Generation Y banter and make my seasonal white sweet potato bowl. I especially appreciated Theresa’s custom recipe and guidance, something out of my norm Harissa Chicken Avocado bowl.

I thoroughly enjoyed the white sweet potato and lamb combo with the fig dressing, definitely a banger. Another favorite would be the cucumber lime juice. Kudos to CAVA, looks like the fountain drink options have expanded, I’m a fan. I kept it simple with the meal, but I had to rave about Theresa, affectionately now my Mother Theresa with the amethyst crescent moon pendant. Stay pleasant!“

“New local halal food spot located on Cottman Ave near Castor Ave by the Sunoco gas station. Reasonably priced fresh food platters with a variety of tasty choices to choose from some as low as $5! $5 is a great price for those on a budget. I got the Mac and cheese/ fried chicken combo and the sauce it comes with is so yummy! It was pretty good. Also got the fish over rice with the garlic sauce it comes with a small salad as well. Fish was lightly breaded and cooked well. I will visit this spot again for sure to try out the other menu items!“

“The pizza tasted good, but was pretty under baked and very floppy for a coal fired pizza. Personally I like my pizza to be crispy. The pepperoni was under cooked as well, which gave it kind of an overly greasy flavor. I'll definitely give them another shot though, because, atleast from the case, this pizza looked very good.“
