“House of Thai is a hidden gem in Mayfair! The owners are wonderful people that treat you like you’re family! The atmosphere is calm & relaxing & intimate! I’ve been going here for years & they never disappoint. They’re consistent in the flavorful, freshness of their food! I ordered pickup through Uber eats as I haven’t had them in a while & Of course they still didn’t disappoint. They were so quick with making the food! It came fast & was packaged with care! It was warm & fresh & full of flavor! Truly a 5 star experience! I recommend EVERYONE try here! The owners are deserving of local business support as well! Thank you, I will be back again of course! “I came in on a Saturday, I was the first customer of the day. The restaurant was nice and comfy. Soft and comforting music that didn’t distract the dining experience.

I had the lunch special with tom yon soup, Thai dumplings and shrimp pad thai. The soup was hot and flavor, less sweet than most places. The dumplings were thin and crispy, the meat filling stuffed generously inside the dumpling. The star was the shrimp pad Thai. The shrimps were cooked perfectly and the noodles were absorbing all the flavors of the sauce.

My waitress checked on me often, she was very friendly, smiling every time. The bathroom was also very clean.

My bill came to around $18 for soup, appetizer and an upgrade to shrimp protein, an absolute steal! Highly recommended.“

“Solid neighborhood take-out spot. What I personally like about South Ocean in Flourtown is the variety of Asian cuisines: Chinese, Japanese, & Thai. You can order sweet and sour chicken, or sushi. “This is a very good combination Thai/Chinese restaurant however I think their menu is now abbreviated and they have stopped making the Thai dishes. I have had the Thai food and it was good but usually ordered Chinese dishes which are also very good. They now have very reasonable lunch and dinner specials with choice or rice and eggroll. The people are pleasant and the service is fast. They also deliver. Worth a try at the special prices ti see if you like it.“
