“Ordered a chicken pesto Stromboli and one of the reasons was the sun dried tomato’s. Unfortunately it came with regular tomatoes which made it watery. Sun-dried tomatoes are more expensive than plum tomatoes and the flavor is very different.if they were not available the server should have mentioned and the price should reflect the difference. Very disappointed and only had a couple bites.“

There is so much love and art put into every meal. Not only is the food amazing and taste out of this world, the experience watching the process is equally entertaining. “We were 7 people and the waitress wouldn’t divide the bill. We have to calculate our orders and the taxes. Then write down our card info with the amount we each owe. I am sure she could have done it but she said it’s the restaurant policy!!“

“We had dinner here for the first time on Sat, 11/12/22–what a wonderful experience! The staff was friendly and very helpful. We had muscles for our appetizer that were fresh and very tasty. We each had different entrees, one the salmon dish and the other chicken—both were amazing, with each of us saying we’d order our meal again or try the other one next time. Then dessert: one had the s’mores dessert and the other the chocolate bread pudding—we didn’t think we’d have room, but we made room, because both were excellent! Plus the chef said he’d be changing the menu every week—we can’t wait to go back!“

I was a big fan of Asad’s, however, afterwards I would always feel heavy, nauseous, and just overall gross. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. The owners seem like good, genuine people. I just don't understand the negative reviews here, give this place a try, it will not disappoint.“

“I had a delicious cheesesteak here the other day. The meat was top quality shaved ribeye and the roll was fresh and crusty. I have a small bone to pick. This store does not have a soda fountain or even an ice maker, so if you dine in you can't enjoy an ice cold Coke (or your beverage of choice) with your steak sandwich. Most of their competitors and for some odd reason the Richboro and Newtown locations have soda fountains, but this location does not, and it's a shame.“

“I read all the positive reviews and had to check it out for myself. I have always found it difficult to find something as simple as a good breakfast place. But this time i found it! The second I walked in, I was impressed. The hostess greeted me immediately and with a smile. I asked if I should order now and she smiled and explained that she'd take my order and she'll bring it to me. It was very pleasant. The store itself is clean and bright. I ordered two eggs medium, sausage patties,home fries with peppers and onions, rye toast with a little butter and a medium coffee. Everything was made exactly as I ordered it. The portions were generous and the coffee was great. Thirteen bucks for all that. Perfect. I'll be back.“

I’ve tried a few places that just didn’t hit the mark—but AL SHAM in Chalfont is a straight 10/10!! They serve real Arabic bread (pita)—not tortillas disguised as pita like you find at other places—and their homemade Lebanese toum (garlic aioli) is the real deal. One bite of their falafel wrap instantly transported me to a boardwalk in Lebanon, overlooking the Mediterranean—complete with fresh bread, Lebanese pickles, and those perfect pickled turnips. The meat is 100% Halal and you can taste the quality. Flavorful, fresh, and clearly made with care. **This is the kind of spot you want to support. “This was my first time trying Humpty’s Dumplings. They were at a local craft show at my church. I tried the cheesesteak dumpling, spinach and cheese and chicken and dumplings. They were absolutely delicious!!!!! Hot and fresh right out of the fryer. Highly recommend you try them. Looking forward to finding them at another location.“

“As a Kensington resident, I definitely want to scoop people to all the hot spots in our neighborhood cluster: Kensington (East, Upper, Old), Port Richmond, Harrowgate. I’d have to put Kensington Pub No. 1 for both food and atmosphere.

They have a decently vast menu for a pub, and I believe there’s really not a miss on the menu. Last time out, my wife got the Cod sandwich w/ fries, and I got the Smashburger, w/ fries. As a legit French fry connoisseur, I asked for my crinkle fries to be well-done with no salt, and they delivered them golden and perfectly!

They give you such a big portion of fries that I was in heaven. The smashburger (double) was very good as well; a little thicker than your normal smash patties, but who would complain about that.

My wife thought the portion of her cod sandwich was on the smaller side, but she liked that it wasn’t oily like most cod sandwiches. It also came in 3 pieces, which makes it more difficult to eat opposed to one cod patty.

The atmosphere was dope: When the Phillies, Eagles, Sixers, or Flyers are on, you will get a nice crowd that gives you that traditional Philly feel, with the ambience supporting that. We love the retro pictures of different spots around Philly, and we happened to sit at a table that had a picture of the exact street we live on.

I give Kensington Pub a 10/10 and we will frequent it quite a bit as it’s within walking distance. Most of our neighborhood is if you want to get some exercise in.“
