“Sooo delicious! Every bite was just so good! Home cooked - the carrot juice was so fresh! Mom was cooking and her daughters managed the table with so much kindness - excellent service. I cannot recommend this place enough. I need to learn the correct names but the stuffed grape leaves were out of this world. I had chicken on their homemade bread - SO good! Go on a weekday if you can they’re super busy on the weekends but wonderful wonderful food!!!!“

“My family eats only organic and very healthy. Bake our own breads organic from scratch etc. at home. We rarely eat out because most restaurants use junk ingredients. When we do eat out we eat pizza and subs. We travel to Angelino's in Philly, Franks in Baltimore, NJ, NYC we travel to eat the best pizza places known period. York County is not a desirable place for good pizza. However they're serving real flour here to make their fresh bread daily, make their pizzas etc. Unbleached and potassium bromate free. This makes the elasticity harder to work with which is why most pizza shops around here cut corners and use crap flour. I do recommend ordering the pies crispy for the absolute best presentation and taste. All the wood fire pizzas are very good as are the regular pies. Their cheesesteak sub which I tweaked to have provolone, chopped ribeye and fried onions versus white American is very good as well. Made with their fresh daily baked bread. Gold Crust always had the best cheesesteaks in town, they may have just gotten knocked off that block. Probably the only place we will eat pizza around here ever again for these reasons. Good job guys!!!“

“I love the chunky marinara pasta so much. It has big cloves of garlic in it and it’s absolutely delicious. I also really enjoyed their strawberry cosmopolitans, I love that they send out text coupons and I will definitely always come here for a good authentic Italian dinner.“

“I have been ordering egg plant parm with side of spaghetti since Olive Gard opened in York. Best I have ever had until this evening. The egg plant was mushy and drown in sauce, so disappointed. I was with my family we were there celebrating my 83rd b-day. If I had been there with a small group I would have sent the egg plant back to the kitchen. Please see what is going on with my favorite. Service was out standing.“

They were patient with GrubHub and my husband as all 3 worked together in rectifying the situation (which was no fault of the restaurant). “Son of Sicily is a excellent place to eat, food is excellent and the staff is always friendly and welcoming. The main reason for this review is the excellent pizza I just ate. I just had the Grandma pizza with bacon and banana peppers, my favorite combo. It was so delicious, everything was perfect. I just found my new favorite pizza. I’ve had the same toppings on a regular pizza, but on the Grandma the sauce is sweeter and more savory. Definitely a winner! Thanks Sons of Sicily crew!“

“I am a local truck driver. As I finished my last delivery almost 2 hours from home. I google “subs near me”. This place popped up. Wasn’t too far out of my way. And I didn’t have a trailer so I went off to find this place. (Small shops are the best in my opinion), the Italian sub on a fresh baked roll was amazing. Definitely recommend if you’re in the area. Definitely will be back“

Also had a cheese steak Stromboli which was delish. The Italian sub I had needed more meat and cheese inside of it, but good flavors. The waitress was super friendly and attentive. “So hubby and I ate here today…. As soon as you walk in the smell is incredible and the employees behind the wall greet you very nicely. We were seated immediately and our server Garrett oh my gosh, I don’t even know where to begin. He was fantastic and every meaning of the word he was polite he was funny. He was happy. He was knowledgeable. He was the sweetest person I have ever met in my life and I’ve met a lot of people. More people who own restaurants should have servers like Garrett the compassion inside this person is off the chart he was the sweetest person you’ve ever wanna meet in your life. He knew that menu like nobody’s business. Which in a lot of restaurants, you’re lucky if one of the servers knows what’s on the menu let alone know what it’s about not Garrett. He knew everything and if he didn’t have the answer, he found the answer with Greg the owner who I must say was just as nice and polite and knowledgeable as Garrett. If you wanna try somewhere new and you’ve never been here, you have to try this place. I am telling everybody about this restaurant. The food was phenomenal . We have not one complaint from the front door to the server to our food and out the door again. My husband and I had such a fantastic time here we want Garrett as our server from this point on nobody else I know that probably sounds critical but when you get a good server, that’s who you want every time you go back Garrett was efficient. He was fast. He could walk by your table and grab the dishes without even looking at you. He was that fast. “Visiting York from out of town. I had an inch to eat some Stromboli like one does in Pennsylvania. We were lucky enough Shakey Jakes was open until 11. My team and I visited and most of us ordered a Boli. We were told a small would feed one person. So I ordered a large. Holy Stromboli, this thing was huge. I only got through half but I brought it home so I can enjoy it for the next two days. It was so good I felt like it was sent from heaven above. This was EASILY the best food I have ever eaten in Pennsylvania. I can't recommend Shakey Jakes enough. Can't wait to go there again in 3 days when I finally finish my large Boli.“

“I love this place, it's very hole in the wall but for having Pizza in the brand name they do so much more. I work nights so I get food from here often but I don't have to get the same thing all the time. So far my only criticism is about 1/3rd of the time when I order a square cut pizza it gets delivered and it's regular cut, but that's really been about the only hiccup in the service. Other than that it's one of my staple bad for me food places in town lol“

“We had planned a pizza party after our lacrosse practice, but a thunderstorm threw a wrench in our outdoor plans. We called the shop to see if we could bring 25 athletes and coaches into the store instead, and they went above and beyond to accommodate us. When we arrived, the staff had reserved tables prepared and the pizzas were already set out for us. The staff was courteous, friendly, and made us feel right at home. “Yesterday was our last time ordering from Sal's. We have had issues for the past year. I'm very disappointed because Sal's used to be my favorite restaurant for over a decade. However, I will not be suggesting your restaurant anymore. Our pizza was dry and burnt in the crust, the salad was bad, the chicken on it was also dry and had no flavor .. no dressing was packed in the bag, Additionally, the buffalo chicken wrap had watered down sauce buffalo sauce and maybe blue cheese dressing???
