“This ice cream parlor should really be much better known than it is. There are so many unique flavors. You can get corn ice cream and sprinkle chili powder on it. You can get coconut crunch and sprinkle cinnamon on it. In fact cinnamon tinges many of their prepared ice cream.

The staff were very attentive and friendly. They were extremely patient with my partner and she sampled practically everything in the store. 10-day scooped out some really generous portions for us. The chips and trunks mixed in with ice cream were in January's proportion also. The ice cream is really premium.

My only complaint is that there is no indoor seating. On a hot day you'll be running back to your car for air conditioning to keep your ice cream from melting in your hands. They do have some outdoor bench seating but East State Street is an incline and you'll be sliding down the bench.

Overall the I heartily recommend this ice cream parlor and encourage you to stop in and try some of the unusual flavor selections. It is well worth a slight detour if you are going north or south on US route 1 to make a stop in the historic district shopping district of Kennett square where this.“

“We recently ordered six pints of specially made ice cream from Hangry Bear Creamery, featuring flavors we personally selected, and had them shipped to New York. We absolutely loved their ice cream when we were in PA this summer on vacation.

Unfortunately, the shipment arrived with damaged packaging, and the dry ice had completely evaporated, leaving the ice cream in less-than-ideal condition.

The inside space is relatively small so large groups (5+ persons) can feel a bit crowded especially if others are still waiting on their order.
Management’s goal is to keep the customer flow going so it helps to have your order in mind well before you step inside. This is made easier with the their flavors posted a few places along the path to the entrance.

Any food allergies mentioned are shown immediate consideration either by your server verifying the listed ingredients in the huge binder they keep on hand or at least in offering to change the scoop (dipper) to avoid the chance of cross contamination.

Peak hours in the nice weather (especially Saturday afternoons in summer) often equate to lines well into to the parking lot although it generally moves at a consistent pace. At such times, finding a place to sit may prove to be a challenge, but there’s plenty of room to walk about and enjoy the “farm” atmosphere. A fun little game is to observe how far some visitors may have traveled. We’ve seen license plates from IA, MA and even AZ the summer months!
