“It is rare for a brewpub to have vegan food, and I echo what others here have said about the quality and options. Owners are vegan and seemingly intend this to be sort of a vegan place with meat options without making it obvious, lol. Most pizzas can be made vegan, and the mushroom one comes drizzled with a black garlic aioli made with vegan mayo (I asked). Their flagship West Coast IPA is to die for. And the roasted broccoli appetizer was divine. Definitely a place to return to many times. The building is a former horse stable attached to a market, and we mistakenly went into the market first, but the pub is actually between the hotel and the market. Plenty of outside seating, not so much inside, so make a reservation. We went for lunch when it was not as busy. Very friendly cool staff. “We have found our new favorite spot! Sat outside in CHBC’s fantastic beer garden on a beautiful Saturday early evening. The Biergarten was spacious and had a great vibe and very friendly servers. Don’t forget to bring your canine best friend to this dog friendly spot. While we didn't bring a dog of our own, we loved interacting with everyone else's four-legged friends.

The food, service, and drink selection are all impressive and on point. As someone who only consumes plant-based meals, I was thrilled to find so many amazing vegan options on the menu. The vegan cheesesteak, falafel burger, and chickpea tinga nachos are all delicious and highly recommended, but they also have equally delicious options for carnivores that looked really good. We cannot wait to come back and try the pizza next time.

For drinks, I ordered non-alcoholic beer, but as a beer enthusiast at a brewery, I couldn't help but notice the impressive body, clarity, and color of the house beers being served around us. “We love this place. We live in Philly, but just stumbled on it one day. Maybe it’s the owner, but a visit there feels like a special occasion . The appetizer of pita with a variety of dips is incredible, and filling. Next to come are dishes of souvlaki, falafel, lamb brochettes, vegetables, rice and salad. They are known for outstanding baklava (even for those who think they don’t like baklava), AND chocolate mousse. We have brought relatives and friends here from Washington, D.C. and Harrisburg, and all were thrilled .“

“Honeygrow is a regular takeout spot for my family, especially for stir-fried noodles. The food is consistently delicious, portions are solid, and I think the price-to-quality ratio is very fair. I can usually feed myself, my wife, and my daughter for around $40.

The standard noodle options are all strong, and I’ll sometimes add double protein if I’m extra hungry. The seasonal specials are worth trying, too; the Chesapeake crab is a standout. They also have salads, yogurt options, and the brownie is delicious.

A big plus is the app, which is intuitive and helpful. The loyalty program actually pays off regularly, which I appreciate.

Just as important, the staff here has always been friendly and welcoming. Overall, this is a well-run chain with good ingredients, healthy options, fair pricing, and consistently good food. HG is a solid balance of convenience, value, and quality. Definitely recommend.“

From the attention to fresh, local ingredients to the casual but elegant vibe of the place and the handmade, complimentary biscotti with the espresso... I honestly teared up a little. It's so hard to find a comfortably elegant place with a thoughtful, concise menu, reasonablly sized portions, and reasonable pricing. The seasonal caprese salad with the local peaches was an explosion of flavor because everything was local and seasonal and handmade and simple and perfect. It's a little piece of Testaccio in downtown Philly.

When I call, most often I’m addressed by “Hi Carrie — your usual?” How special to be greeted by name and they already know my order. This amazing employee, A is always so sweet and welcoming when I call or come into the store. She is the best and always brightens my day! Every time I arrive, my order is ready to go. My go to is the Knight Bowl (no Nutella with peanut butter) and my son always gets the dragonfruit bowl (and adds peanut butter). Their bowls are loaded with fillings and toppings! Their açaí bowls are so much better than any other bowl place around. Pro tip: Place your order ahead of time, pick up and enjoy! Oh and don’t forget to give them your phone number — every 10 orders and you have enough points for a free bowl.“
