“I stopped here one Saturday on my way home from center city and had a very good evening. I opened the door and was greeted by a friend who performs at so many local drinking establishments in Northeast Philly. As it was a spontaneous decision to go here I was very surprised to see him. Located on Rhawn Street off of Frankford Avenue in Mayfair/Holmesburg. It has an latge open area for music and dancing with long straight bar. I didn't have the food so I can't rate it. Our barmaid/server Laurie was friendly, witty and an excellent host. I met several friendly and engaging people here and will surely stop back.“

“I stopped in here during Happy Hour one Friday afternoon and had a very enjoyable time. I met some friendly people and engaged in some good conversations with the regular customers. Mostly concerning sports and alcohol beverages. All three bartenders were excellent servers and quickly replenished our drinks. Can't wait until they start serving food as they just reopened under new management. It's a small place with just a straight bar but it was a friendly atmosphere.“

To make it worse, one of the twelve was a total runt — tiny, scrawny, barely any meat. So it was more like 11 wings.

The rest were a decent size — plenty of meat, which is really their saving grace. But they weren’t cooked evenly. A few were overdone and dry, while others were fine. The sauce could’ve definitely used another toss, too. They came out a little dry and the flavor was just… basic. Greasy, too. Honestly, if they used a copycat of S&H’s wing sauce, then the price would make sense.

Got my boys a small personal pizza — pretty much what you’d expect for a bar-style pie. Nothing bad, nothing standout.

The real MVP? The hand-cut fries!!!

“It's a friendly neighbo4hood bar that has a few gaming machines for us degenerate gamblers. Located nearby Frankford hospital in case you hit a big jackpot and go into cardiac arrest. It is a friendly group of people that appear to frequent this Tavern so go ahead on down and enjoy yourself.“

“We were in town last night for a sports tournament and stumbled upon the Firkin Tavern. With four kids and four adults, we weren’t sure what to expect, especially since the tavern was pretty busy with only one server. At first, we were a little concerned it might be overwhelming, but Mike, our waiter, quickly proved us wrong. He was absolutely amazing! Despite the crowd, he handled everything seamlessly and was extremely attentive. The food also exceeded our expectations, it wasn’t just typical bar food.. everything was delicious and really impressed us. “The bar tender was super involved with his customers and you can tell he cares. I forgot his name but I have never had a bar tender ask me if I wanted a cup of water until 2 days. The locals that come in are very relaxed and Nice to talk to. Drink prices are very fairly priced. They have one pool table and a small Foosball table. The one thing that could make this bar shine is if it had food to serve. Besides that I loved it. Must go to“

“1000/5 stars ⭐️ from when it was originally the red raven to now the raven. Looks and feels like a comfortable place to rewind and enjoy. Girls were nice too shoutout to Lucy peaches mocha and Shoutout to my girl KitKat⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. She automatically gifted the raven a 5/5 review through not only my eyes but through my boys too. She bought us rounds gave me a balloon from opening weekend (Saturday, February 4th 2023). She partied with us made sure we were doing fine but the thing that made me feel welcomed the most was word for word she said “I’m making it my job to make sure that you guys have fun and enjoy yourselves tonight.” We were only going to stay an hour or two because of her we stayed till closing. So much love to KitKat from Mike, Matt, and yours truly Nick. The Raven is truly a legend in the making.“

“Tried Cosmos again for the 3rd time. Was really good. We both had an item that most people don't eat at a so called "pizza" restaurant. Salmon. Have to say it was really good. Good piece, nice size and tasted really good. Will definitely go back.“

“We had a large party of 30 that they handled flawlessly. This was after 2 small pairs of two tested it out independently. The reservation went without a hitch. Best description is elevated bar food, with a few diners thrown in there. Or party had everything from a kids hot dog to Caribbean jerk chicken with mango salsa and cauliflower rice. “We were in town for a night and stopped by Patrick’s on Tuesday 3/4. It was a classic Irish bar and we were warmly greeted by the hostess Carolyn, who was very friendly and made us feel right at home. Our waitress was very attentive and gave us menu recommendations that turned out great . The food was delicious, especially their “famous” wings. We’ll be back next time in the Berkshires.“

“Sending out a big thank you to Wilson’s pub. It was my sisters 60th birthday party we were supposed to celebrate at another bar who promised to reserve tables to accommodate her family and friends 30 of us . When we arrived, they told us that they could not reserve all of the tables that they said earlier they would.. no apology no nothing. Needless to say we left that bar flooded Wilson’s with approximately 25 people. They gave us the whole side room. Drinks were great. We ordered food and I believe the cook brought it right out to us his self.. great bartenders great food ….they could not have been nicer or more accommodating would definitely recommend Wilson’s to anyone“

[Love the staff] It’s still our go to place when we’re looking for a comfortable place for a bite or takeout. [Try the pizza] Even though it is under new management it still has maintained that atmosphere that makes you feel welcome anytime you walk in.“
