The sushi was incredibly fresh, with a fantastic selection of both cooked and raw rolls, as well as delicious sashimi. The service was wonderful, making the experience even better. “Went last night with two friends for my birthday! I think our chef said his name was Gino! He was great and our waitress and the food was great! My only complaint was that the music was blaring so, we couldn't hear what anyone was saying and we really could even talk to each other!!! It took away from the experience since our chef was saying things that we couldn't hear. I did ask three different staff members if they could lower it to no avail. We don't think we will go back there again! We had to keep asking our waitress to repeat herself and that got to be exhsusting😣“

“Vegan/Vegetarian here.
My husband and I ordered the vegan ramen, sushi: aac roll, Oshinko roll, the vegan roll, the mango avocado, and then the hibachi veggies and rice.
All of it was deliciousssss.
I loved that they put dumplings in the ramen, the mango was delicious, miso soup was delicious, and they even threw in some cake.
Would highly recommend getting food from here.“

“Meant to say 0 stars. I ordered pizza rolls and was given vegetable rolls which I do not like and they would not take them back. They should've told me they didn't have pizza rolls instead of trying to trick me and take my money. I threw them in the trash!“

They were a bit understaffed when we went so there was a bit of a wait on food or getting the check but nothing the staff could have done about it with 1 server and the sushi chef covering as a second. I hope they can find someone to fill in because the food is worth coming back for. Prices are a little on the high side but you won't find Korean food like this around here anywhere else. Definitely recommend giving them a shot, just probably best if you're not in a rush to get somewhere afterwards.“

She seemed to be higher up in the ranks (her name is Susan maybe?), and she is a wonderful, honest woman and an overall pleasure to converse with. It is a very cozy, traditional style place in terms of aesthetics. The sushi is really delectable too, the fish is high quality. The desserts were delicious as well. Will be sure to come back soon!“

“I have mainly stuck to the ramen here, but one of the staff members came to my table. She told me there are several vegan options outside of ramen such as the veg teriyaki, veg stir fried rice, veg tempura, drunken noodles, udon noodles.. she asked if I was pleased, and if there were enough vegan options/ if it was good for vegans. So I get the genuine interest for vegans. If you are getting ramen, make sure to specify for vegan noodles and vegan broth. When I first ordered the pre-fix vegetable ramen, I wrote vegan in the notes. It did not come with the vegan ramen noodles, and came with the standard egg noodles. So just make sure you select those or ask for them.“

“Was here recently for a colleague’s birthday party. They rented a private room with food + bottle service. Off street parking was definitely a huge plus. The staff was very attentive, and the overall atmosphere of the place seemed pretty chill. My only critique is the karaoke interface is not very intuitive, and the selection for ACTUAL karaoke/instrumental tracks are very limited because they only use Spotify for the music. It’s more like a sing-along than karaoke. I would suggest using youtube instead of spotify because YouTube’s selection of music for karaoke is far superior. Other than that, the place is great!“

“The food was fantastic and the entertainment was great. I had a lobster and shrimp dish which had such great flavor. The blend of the vegetables was so tasty and melted in my mouth. When I mentioned entertainment I referred to the chef, who had a sense of humor while he prepared our food. He made our dinner most enjoyable. I certainly would return to the restaurant and encourage friends to try it.“

“It was my first time here, and I loved everything I had to eat that I ate. I was so full I did leave a little bit of food. I generally don't like to waste anything but was very little left really no reason to take home. There is a lot of variety and selection to try. “This place is great. The food is some of the best I’ve had. I did their all you can eat menu which is only $32.95 for adults. Not only does it have sushi but it has other kitchen food items like beef/chicken/vegetable and broccoli, general tso, sweet & sour chicken and more. I tried the general tso chicken and this is by far the best I’ve had. It’s soft and tender and spicy just how I like it. The sushi is fresh and really good. The service is great. The people are very friendly. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone.“

“Was lucky enough to snag a seat at the brand new bar last night for their grand reopening. Really love what they did with the space and truly excited for the addition of the bar so that we can enjoy their great custom cocktails with newtown's best sushi. The food is obviously still on point but beware of their penicillin drink! With their in-house pressed ginger and bitters, holy crap they are dangerously delicious! Love the upgraded esthetic and vibe at Oishi! Oh and lastly i love that they brought over some of the korean menu items like boa buns and crispy korean fried chicken from their other spot Omiza ?
