“2 Little Piggys was on the preferred vendor list from our venue, Durham Hill Farm, and they were highly recommended personally by the coordinator. I’m so glad we listened to that recommendation. I loved Julie from the very first email. Not only are her prices incredibly fair when it comes to wedding catering, but she is SO willing to do ANYTHING you want, even if it’s not on her menu. We jokingly asked about an oyster bar at our tasting, and she said, “Yep! We can do that!” So we did; Julie shucked them herself and they were some of the best we’ve ever had! My one dream for my wedding since I was little was to have pie instead of cake, and she was SO on board when I brought it up to her. I also wanted a “cider bar welcome” with hot and cold cider for guests as they arrived, and she made it happen. She made every personalized detail come to life, and it was all perfect and delicious. We ended up pretty much revamping our entire menu after our tasting because we wanted a different vibe, and we have zero regrets about going the BBQ route. The food was phenomenal. People loved it. The buffet moved quickly. Her servers were amazing (people keep telling me how attentive, present, and kind they were; we experienced the same as the bride and groom). People never had to wait in long lines at the bar. Julie and her staff even went above and beyond to help clean up our decor after the event. She is an expert at what she does. You can’t go wrong hiring her and her team. Truly couldn’t have asked for better!“
“Okay price for ayce bbq and hotpot. Note that everyone has to choose the same set, hotpot or bbq, or everyone has to pay for both, which is like ~$5 extra. They don't have too many cuts of meat, but they have a decent selection of seafood and other stuff. They also have hot appetizer like fries and wings, and dessert like fruits and jelly; these are okay. They have a sauce bar for you to mix your own.“
“I usually come here alone because I like the process of cooking and the assortment. the food is always fresh and I have never had bad service. the staff is always attentive, they will change your grill in time and are always ready to help. I like this place. their range of sauces is also excellent and I can always make a mix of what I like“
“This place is amazing. This was my first time having this place. It was amazing, from the girl taking the order and explaining how ordering worked. She even gave my son a sample of Mac and Cheese to my son to try before ordering his kids meal. While eating Maribeth came around and was giving out samples. She was clearing off tables and asking if she could clear off what we were done with. She was very friendly and we enjoyed talking with her.I will say the snap bean are amazing and if I could’ve, I would’ve brought the whole pot home. All of the food is delicious.. I had pulled chicken and brisket, along with cornbread and snap bean and baked beans and you get so much food, the meats are so tender and flavorful. So worth the hour drive.Kid-friendliness: They have a kids menu and it’s filled with all of the foods kids love.. they even let the kids sample the Mac and cheese.“
“This was my first time eating at this BBQ joint located inside the Trenton Farmer’s Market. Their products (Brisket, chicken wings, pork) are smoked right outside the stand so you are getting them fresh from the smoker. There are three tables that you can eat at. One is a high top that seats six and the other two are regular tables with one side pushed against a wall, so eight additional seats. My order included two pounds of brisket ($23/pound), one pound of pulled pork ($17/pound) and one pound of slaw. At first glance, I was going to order the baby back ribs but then noticed the $18 price was per pound and rather than for the entire rack. What I Liked: - The Seize the Deal offer was a game changer at $25 for a $50 food voucher - The smoke flavor on the brisket and pulled pork was strong but not bitter - The bark on the brisket was about as black as you will see. They use hickory and wild cherry wood. - The brisket (cut across the grain) and the pulled pork were tender - I sampled the baked beans and they were better than average. I hear they mix 3-5 different peppers with them. - They had pickle and pepper (Hot, sweet) slices at the condiment bar What I Did Not Like: - There was no smoke ring on the brisket since the fat cap was left fully intact. So, if you wan the full smoke flavor you have to eat the fat. - One pound of brisket was cut with the grain and resulted in strings of meat! - The brisket was dry and relied on the fat cap juice from above to add moisture - The brisket in play here has both the flat and the point in play since they do not remove the point (fat cap) and use it for burnt ends. This is extra work that are avoiding because making burnt ends requires additional steps in the process. - The pulled pork was a bit salty for me but not over the top salty - The slaw was more of a fresh salad and not traditional coleslaw - They did not offer collard greens - They only offer two BBQ sauces. The sweeter one had too much of a honey taste. The spicier one could have had been better flavor. - The $18/pound price for the baby back ribs is over the top expensive. They weigh 1.5 to 2 pounds and are usually up to 80% bone. If you are lucky to get 1/3 (33%) of pork off the bones, that is $54/pound, Whaaaaaaaat! My Portly Pigg rating is 8.8/10 Oinks for the pulled pork and My Prime Minister of Beef rating is 8.1/10 Moos for the brisket. Without the Seize the Deal voucher the ratings would drop because of the higher price point, to 8.2/10 and 7.8/10 respectively. The brisket for me is always the money shot and weighs heavy when I do my overall score. My overall score was 8.1/10 (with voucher) and 7.5/10 without the voucher. Note, this place was ranked #19 by the Star Ledger earlier this year citing “Hambone Opera’s pulled pork — supremely succulent — is among the best I have sampled on my barbecue journeys, and the brisket oozes fatty goodness”. Personally, I don’t think anyone in Texas is losing any sleep because of NJ BBQ being a competitor.“
“I've been driving by this little Gem for a while now and have been wanting to stop in and try out their BBQ.Well I'm so upset I didn't stop in sooner !We ordered 6 platters with a little bit of everything and it was all delicious !The steak was perfect the pork ribs were tender and smoky the beef ribs were a little fatty but still very good.A new twist on BBQ beans that was a pleasant surprise and the collard greens were to die for. This is our new favorite place and the good thing is it's right around the corner from us........Do yourself a favor and stop in and get a platter, you won't be disappointed !“
“I can't get enough of this place. I'm literely there every week.Francis the grill master is my favorite there. Always attentive when I call and ask him for my favorite steak.Food is always warm and the taste of Brazil is legit.I like to bring my own wine and enjoy the it there.“
“I absolutely love the bread and butter that Texas Roadhouse serves. Their variety of steaks is outstanding, perfect for any steak lover. Not only is the food delicious, but it is also far less expensive compared to other steakhouse options. The variety of cocktails is also a plus. Despite being always busy, the staff does a great job in getting customers seated promptly. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a great steakhouse experience in a cozy atmosphere.“
“This was our first time back since COVID, and it was worth the trip, we got bbq chicken, Mac and cheese, bbq ribs, mashed potatoes with gravy, Old bay baked chicken, delicious and they are very friendly and good service. I was so happy to see that they are still around. Oh and there was a crowd of people waiting for food, but it wasn't too long before you were placing your order. Highly recommend.Parking: They are located in the Newtown Farmers market, so there is plenty of parking.“
“I was visiting Newtown for a vacation and found this place recommended to me by the host in the house I rented out.It was an interesting grocery place to be in. It was like a regular market you can buy Italian products like dried pasta, sauces, snacks, etc. But there was a deli section in the market with pre-made Italian food sitting on hot plates.I bought a few to try and they were delicious! Coconut shrimps, Eggplant stuffed with ricotta and prosciutto, and mushroom stuffed meatballs.I also bought layered cookies (or cakes?), macaroons, and tiramisu. They all turned out to be delectable! I was satisfied with the haul, but when all the combined items turned out to be about $50, I was a little shocked. It's fine though, I expect to be paying a lot when I go on vacations! The only downside was the service. One of them was very nice, but the others were very indifferent. It's excusable since I worked in the food service industry for a while. I just hope they're being treated well.“
“There was a 45 min wait at K- POT and the kids were starving. This place is within 5 min drive of Kpot and cheaper too. With 9 people we were given a private room and unlike most K BBQ/hotpot places that all members of the party have to order same, half of our party opted for Kbbq and the other half preferred hotpot. There are cameras in the room so might not be a good idea to try and mix up the food. Service was fast, and to be honest, as we pulled up to this place we almost left coz it looked empty and definitely doesn't have the more hip atmosphere that kpot has. Upon entry, the place is spacious and they have a good selection of sauces and sides for bbq. There was no wait for us. The prices are reasonable and if ever we are in the area, would return !“
“The chicken tenders are amazing. Juicy and fresh chicken. Platter comes with 2 sides. French fries are real potatoes, closer to a baked potato, and the onion rings are okay. It's a little greasy for my taste. Overall, it's a delicious meal that's reasonably priced. The 6 piece chicken tenders Platter was $10.49“
“Billy D's catered our summer party. Everything was outstanding! Everyone raved about the brisket and roast turkey. Both were incredibly tender and flavorful. Sausage and peppers, mac and cheese, coleslaw and rolls were also a bit hit. All of our guests texted us the next day to say how much they loved the food and several asked for Billy D's contact info. Delivery was prompt! Food was hot and secure in heavy duty aluminum trays and the price was more than reasonable. What a fantastic experience! We will definitely be using Billy D's again!“
