“Pizza was fine, but salad was not as described on the Slice menu. Ordered a veggie salad as it was described to have the typical veggies, but was to include egg and croutons. Salad was delivered covered in black olives and banana peppers. I was able to pick off the olives and peppers, but was missing the ingredients listed in the description. Please update the menu in the app.“

“Pizza in the area can be hit or miss but David's is always consistently delicious!! Nice thin crust, cheese has great flavor and the sauce is the perfect blend of savory and sweet. The hoagies are handmade sub rolls and loaded with fresh ingredients. We also enjoy their Stromboli as well. Easy ordering and quick service .. prices are reasonable too. Definitely a must check out joint!“

“The young woman Jill could tell we were newbies. She came around the counter and explained everything to us and even made recommendations. The food was ready quickly and Jill even included some peach cobbler for us to try for being new. The lemonade was just like fair lemonade. The food was above and beyond our expectations. The place was clean and we loved the look. Scott checked on us often and even brought us cups to put sauce in on a tray so we could easily try them all. He also displayed over the top customer service. At the end he brought us boxes to put our left overs in and asked if we would ever return. After we told him we loved it and would tell everybody we know about it and that we would for sure be back in the future he gave us each a coupon for a complimentary sandwich! We live 7.5 hours away and are on vacation. We had some very bad luck recently and some less than pleasant news this morning while on vacation. These guys made our day with their amazing food and exceptional customer service. Best place we have ever been between food, decor, cleanliness, and customer service!“

BUT, this happened to me today and it lead me to the Philadelphia Steaks Hoagies along Walnut street, which is about one mile from Jackson House. So next time you want Jackson and they're too busy, definitely check out the Steaks place. Similar vibes/feels, but not pushy or "Philly rude". I hear this place also gets backed up, and it was recommended to order when they first open. I called about 10 mins before open to pick up the order. They also asked for the pick-up time, (rather than telling me the "20 minutes"), which I appreciate. I got a small cheesesteak with mushrooms and onions - it was a nice full sub size with excellent roll.“

“We came for dinner before heading to the casino. Upon arrival (before 5 PM), we were greeted with friendly smiles. However, our server seemed annoyed that we decided we would be too cold outside and requested to come in. Our server also seemed annoyed when I requested menu accommodations due to specific dietary needs. Lastly, our server was less than attentive. We had to stop another server just to get a drink refill. ***(seemed annoyed could also mean busy, not feeling well or just having an overall bad day, but it shouldn't be shared outwardly to your patrons) While our food was delicious (and my accommodations request was executed perfectly) the atmosphere for a Friday night was not what I had expected. Screaming children and children making puke noises while Daddio sits on his phone was annoying (no fault of the restaurant although I was hoping they might say something to the "parent") We had a delicious meal and most of the service was good. But it was definitely not the first impression I was hoping for.“

“3.5 Small town diner smashed into the side of what would otherwise be a residence. As a result the dining room is somewhat low-ceilinged and claustrophobic. On the plus side, the crew is super nice, they are open early even on the weekends, and the breakfast output is fresh and tasty if quite simple and uncomplicated. Coffee is above average. I noted that it was a celebration dinner for our friend's graduation, and the waitress made it so special by bringing out dessert and writing “congrats class of 2024” on the plate with pastries and candles in them. I can’t explain how the flavors come together for this dynamic appetizer but, Wow! It was fantastic!!! Our entrees of the scallop po boy…..( yum!!! )…… and the seafood enchiladas……. ( oh my goodness!!! ). …were delightful!! So, so delicious!!!! Sweet potato pie and pumpkin cheesecake ice cream were an amazing ending to a superb meal!!! We’ll definitely be back soon! “Ate dinner there about a week ago. Food was good but their telephone rang at top volume the entire time we were there making it difficult to talk or enjoy our meal. Complained to waitress who said it had to be that way so they could hear in the back for take out orders. The restaurant was far from busy for in house dining so I guess the owner doesn't care about us; only the take out customers! I have eaten here for years and tried to support them during covid but never again.“

“Tried their sister restaurant, Kanagawa in Mechanicsburg for lunch with my wife today. After hearing Akitas is owned by the same people and it's in Lemoyne, so a little closer to home, I brought the whole family back for dinner. Just like Kanagawa, this place is excellent and now the second good place for sushi we've finally found - after a year of trying places. For apps we had shrimp shumai dumplings and vegetable egg rolls (spring rolls). Tasty and quickly gone. With three kids and two adults, it only made sense to go for the party boat. It came with 4x soups or salads, 6x pieces of sashimi (we had 2x each tuna, salmon, and whitetail), 6x pieces of nigiri (2x each tuna, salmon, and red snapper), and 4x specialty rolls of our choice. The nigiri and sashimi disappeared first, and even my youngest ate more fish than she ever has. She usually just gets the cucumber roll, and did again tonight, but tried a lot of the fish because it was so good. The fish was all tender and delicious. We had 2x Terry Rolls (wife had one for lunch and liked it so much she got it again and talked one daughter into it also), one Queen Roll, and one Crazy Roll. All super tasty and eaten up. Finished off with one green tea ice cream and the fried cheesecake. Kids declared the ice cream the best they've had, and after reluctantly taking one bite of the cheesecake, they all tore into that as well. The only downside here is the prices are a bit higher than at Kanagawa, and some sushi with the same name at both places look like they actually have slightly different ingredients between the two restaurants. So just because you love a certain roll at one, you led better double check before ordering the same at the other. Otherwise, food was fantastic, service was great, and the restaurant was beautiful. Kids were super happy to have finally found good sushi again. Whoever owns these joints - thanks for two great sushi meals in the same day, and a happy family.“
