“Awesome place for lunch! This landmark establishment in downtown lock haven has been a staple for delicious diner food for years! Their burgers and sandwiches are great, fresh cut fries, and retro diner atmosphere make this a nice stop. The famous growler with the delicious meat sauce is worth a try! The salads are huge and tasty and prices are great!“

“A totally new experience. Prior ownership was less than attentive in the context of community adherence. With the ownership of a military services member and staff along the same lines of value, I love to spend my hard earned money enjoying a welcome change from prior experiences. “Found this place doing a Google search of Restaurants in Lock Haven area. Sat at the bar and great interaction with the bartender and the fellow patrons. The Burgers were great and the beer was cold and the Peanut butter Whiskey was a great dessert.“

“My Family and myself have been visiting the lock haven area for over 70
years for a family cabin trip!! My husband and myself tried this restaurant on a whim this past weekend when very hungry. Our food was DELICIOUS and server was very nice. We sat outside :)We will be returning.“

“The food was good and this location has the best people. Missy took good care of us; you can tell she cares about the people she serves. It was great that the manager, Jodey, stopped by to see if there was anything we needed. This place feels like home. We will stop by again soon!“

“I love Trivia Wednesdays but the food needs upgraded. I will eat before I come to trivia. Steaks are never cooked right. Flatbreads are soggy. Bacon wrapped scallops were 10 dime sized scallops deep fried, very dry and expensive. Wisconsin cheese soup was condensed right out of the can with no reconstitution. Mixed drink specials are watered down. I feel bad for this place, they could do so much better.“

“My husband and I were just chatting while eating our dinner from this location. We’ve both been eating here since we were kids. I seriously cannot recall ever having a bad experience nor can I even recall a time that I had an order that was wrong. The staff are always friendly, service is quick but accurate, food is always phenomenal and the prices have always remained reasonable. Additionally, some of the employees have been working there for years which speaks volumes about the management. This is always my first choice when eating locally because I’ve never been disappointed!“

“Friends become family when you come to The Tavern! Wonderful owner with a chill atmosphere and some amazing homemade soups on Tuesdays! Skill machine, pool tournaments and the occasional karaoke night. Always a great time!“

“This establishment is absolutely amazing. The ambiance inside is very comfortable from the stone fireplace to the custom stools. There is outside seating that overlooks the stage just below. Got to see Leadfoot play, and they put on one hell of a show. The show was all ages, so it was great to see young kids enjoying live music. The sound was amazing and clear no matter where you sat. Now, onto the food and the staff. The staff were amazing, and the wait time was less than 10 minutes to get the food that I had ordered. They were prompt and extremely down to earth. The food was out of this world. I had gotten the hand pressed burger and a side of fries. The burger was cooked precisely as I ordered, and the presentation was great as well. If you find yourself anywhere near Lock Haven't PA, then you should take the drive through the countryside and enjoy what this establishment has to offer.“
