“Worth the drive! It took us an hour to get here, but absolutely no regrets! Charming decor. Food was delicious. We had garlic-parmesan chicken wings for an appetizer--perfectly done, crispy and garlicky! I had a bacon jam burger (maybe season the burger a bit more) and my husband a pulled pork sandwich, both rate "Definitely would eat that again!" The baked beans were the best restaurant version I've ever had, the molasses shined and they were sticky not watery.
I also had a cocktail that had ginger in it and it was very good, I wish I'd had another!
But our waitress (whose name i did not write down) was wonderful.

“This was my first time at a Texas Lunch. The restaurant was busy upon arrival. There was a snafu with our order. We waited quite a while without food. The waitress came back to the table to confirm what we ordered and told us the kitchen never received our order. We waited about another 10 minutes after our order definitely went through. All of our food was very good. My husband had the cheesesteak omelet. It actually had marinaded steak strips, not minute steaks. I had the French toast platter and it was also very good (pillowy bread with a little cinnamon).“

“Highly recommend this place to hang out and have a few beers/drinks. I am sure the food is good but I didn't get a chance to have some because we came late. The drinks and atmosphere were fantastic. Next time we are in the area, we will have some food.“

“I like this place. They definitely make a good Ruben and tuna melt. However, I'd rename the tuna melt tuna grill, whatever it's called, delicious. So far, I haven't had a bad or weak drink yet. No complaints with the service either.“

“Stopped in for a quick meal on a Friday night and we're seated right away. Pretty busy on a Friday night.
Our server was friendly and attentive. Our order was served quickly.
Ample parking. Great atmosphere. We paid $31 for 2 of us with no alcoholic beverages.
The pierogies were fantastic!!!“

“The honey bourbon chicken and salmon were delightful! Their iced tea is always a treat but adding in the wild berry flavor was fantastic. Our server Logan was very nice and had great people skills. Definitely a great server to have at this restaurant!

“I love Trivia Wednesdays but the food needs upgraded. I will eat before I come to trivia. Steaks are never cooked right. Flatbreads are soggy. Bacon wrapped scallops were 10 dime sized scallops deep fried, very dry and expensive. Wisconsin cheese soup was condensed right out of the can with no reconstitution. Mixed drink specials are watered down. I feel bad for this place, they could do so much better.“

“Friends become family when you come to The Tavern! Wonderful owner with a chill atmosphere and some amazing homemade soups on Tuesdays! Skill machine, pool tournaments and the occasional karaoke night. Always a great time!“
