“We attended a rehearsal dinner last week at the Fox Barn and had an amazing time. The private room was beautiful, great ambience and lovely atmosphere. The food was good but it was the service that truly made the experience memorable. Our bartender Shannon, couldn’t have been more accommodating! She was super friendly, charismatic and her attentiveness was remarkable! From remembering what we had to drink, to bringing us refills without us having to ask, to going above and beyond to make sure our kids were happy and content. Numerous guests acknowledged how great Shannon's service was. Great venue! Great food! Outstanding service! We definitely recommend The Fox Barn, especially if you're looking for a venue or to host a party!“

We've always been pleased with the friendly service, delicious food quality, and value... We recently hosted a baby shower for our daughter, and approached to owner about catering the event for 35 guests... We enjoyed a feast of humus, chicken kabob, beef tenderloin kabob, grilled fresh vegetables, and rice... The meal was ready to go as scheduled, we were provided with chafing dishes and sterno to keep the meal warm, and enjoyed a great dining experience... Our guests thoroughly enjoyed the meal... “Wonderful meal! Delicious small plates that we shared. Especially loved the bruschetta! All of our party of 4 loved our entrees. Rosemary rack of lamb crusted with honey goat cheese was excellent. Beautiful ambience subdued and classy yet unpretentious. Chris was our waiter…tops in every way. Just the right amount of attention. Spence Cafe remains to be our favorite West Chester restaurant.“

“First time here. Good food and service! Only 'ding' is alcoholic drinks were weak and, the vanilla gelato did not taste like it but more likely ice cream. Gelato is creamier than ice cream. And it was not a scoop but more like 2 tablespoons. For $3, would expect a little more 'gelato'. Overall, good experience and would try again.“

“We love that Black Lab is byob. Everything is so expensive these days so it's nice to save money on alcohol. Food was good...not gourmet but comforting. Portions are small so order an appetizer before entree if you are hungry. Service was excellent.“

“Nice setting in the countryside. Lots of outdoor seating and dogs are welcome. The food was okay but I wouldn't recommend their Reuben. There was very little meat. Maybe two teaspoons at best...mostly sauerkraut and cheese. I searched my sandwich to try to find a little small chip of meat to give to the dogs. It was definitely cut so tiny and spread so thinly, that I couldn't even find any. The fries were awesome. Crispy and tasty. The bratwurst was good as well. They have live music inside as well which was a nice touch.“

“Waited 40 minutes for hush puppies while the restaurant was nearly empty at 3pm. Primary food order came 5 minutes later and my son’s order was wrong. It’s a shame because the food is good. But the service has been so slow both times I’ve been here. They did comp his meal. Just expect to wait a while and enjoy your drinks. Don’t come if you’re in a hurry.“

“Great place to go for a night out - the few times I've been here they've had a DJ and a small dance area with other options on the floor (shuffleboard and video games). The space is spread out so never seems packed enough to be uncomfortable. Bar serves great mixed drinks and a nice selection of beer on tap.“

“We love going to liberty union but it would be nice if it stated some where that you can only use gift cards at the location they are bought at. I received a gift card for Liberty Union that was purchased in Kimberton and went to the Chester Springs location only to find out it can’t be use there. That should be stated at purchase so there is no confusion.“

“Visited to prepare for an upcoming event and decided to have dinner. The service from the time I was seated was best in class. My hostess Cheryl was so friendly and professional getting me settled at my table. My server Mr. Relace was absolutely amazing. I had a few items from the menu. Baby back ribs with sweet potato fries, Atlantic Salmon with seasonal vegetables. A nice potato soup with Prosciutto garnish. The cocktails were poured generously. To top things off I had bread pudding soaked in Markers burbon with French vanilla ice cream. The entire experience was priced very well and I recommend as a hidden gem for fine dining.“

The food was amazing and the presentation of the trays was very appealing. Alexa and her team were professional, timely and over-communicated which we loved.
