“A bit disappointed. Love the space but my meal was nothing special. Mixed vegetables were good but only warm. Baked potato was warmer, but not hot. The star of the show would have been the crab cake but there was nothing special there. The menu says jumbo lump crab. If there was lump crab meat, then they shredded it up to make the cake. I could get a crab cake that good or better almost anywhere. We've had good food here in the past, but unfortunately this meal was nothing special.“

“Our first time visiting the Capt Crab, from the customer service down to the food - excellent. The brisket was SO GOOD - no sauce is needed, paired with baked beans and coleslaw. Yum! The cornbread was delicious, a must have with any bbq meal. They recommend we try the crab mac & cheese - oh my - that was excellent, even my husband enjoyed it and he isn’t a fan of mac & cheese! We also had the crab cake, although not our favorite in flavor but was filled with crab. The brisket stole the show for us, if you haven’t tried them you should. (: #supportlocal“

“Today, had lunch at The First Post in York, PA. The place is nice and spacious, located on East Market Street. Our party of four shared a ravioli appetizer and had French Onion soup. Both were delicious!!! Easily the best French Onion soup I've eaten!!! For lunch, we each had something different. My Aunt had Salmon Salad. My wife had The Post Steak Sandwich with fries. Our son had the Blackened Shrimp Alfredo. I settled for.the Fish & Chips!! Each of us loved our meals - taking at least half home!! The portions were enormous!!! To wrap up, we decided on some dessert. My Aunt and wife had the Creme Brulee. My son and I had the Chocolate Reese Cake Tort. So good!!!! Service was phenomenal!! If in the York, PA area, you MUST stop in and eat up!!!“

“Soo, Ive been wanting to try this place for a while.I have been driving by it for quite some time now. I've heard mixed reviews about the food here, and my son ordered food using Door Dash once, and we both thought it could have been better. I think the freshness factor played a big part in that. Ordering from Door Dash is usually the most convenient option; that being said, it isn't necessarily the best option.
I had a chance very recently, to stop in at Scotty Dog's, and give it a try. I will say, that it's a very nice place! It looks to be newly renovated. They are able to accommodate larger groups, and when we were there, it wasn't too busy.
I will say honestly, the food that I had was very good! The crab chowder was really tasty! So was the toasted cheese crabcake sandwich! Others that were with me also commented on how good their food was. Everyone was enjoying the food and good service.
The only thing ( or two) that I will say that isn't positive, is the portion size, and the price, don't coincide with each other. I wouldn't suggest that you don't go here too terribly hungry. It will cost you a good amount, to fill up. A medium sized bowl of cream of crab, was $12.00! I could see paying $8.00, because it was indeed, very good. A good amount of crabmeat, in that chowder. $12, is a bit much, I'm my opinion. Alot of items were pricey. About $4 to $6 overpriced. Was it good? Certainly. In today's economy, though, this is a bit high, for my taste. If you meet friends here, have an app, and a drink, you'll probably leave, without your wallet feeling too much lighter. I don't suggest that you come here really hungry, though, because you will pay generously, to satisfy a large appetite. In these economic times, high prices are not what's best for the customer.“

“Their ads for sales are false! Went outta our way to get seafood for a nice dinner and they had the Jumbo Snow Crab Legs on sale for $9.99 a pound...My husband went and wanted to get 2lbs for him and I ...he got there and the were only selling them in 4lb bags!!! No where in the ad did it state sold in 4lb bags.It said$9.99 a pound!!! My husband tried to ask them we only wanted 2lbs but they said this all they have!!! So they try and get you there with falsely advertising all other items stated sold In whatever lbs but not those...I called and talked to someone and he totally was incompetent of what I was trying to say to him....won't be going there again as they seem to try and dip in your wallet for $ and don't stand by their false advertising“
