“Actually I'm writing this review probably about 6 years late, but I keep thinking about this place.
I went here on a first date type of thing, didn't know him, neither of us knew the place. We were welcomed like family, the drinks were perfect and there was a guy playing sax in the other room for an optional cover. As someone who doesn't like live music because it is always too loud, the fact that it was optional was incredible to me. Now 6 years later, I'm eager to try this place again!“

“Visiting Pittsburgh over the weekend and couldn’t miss our Buckeyes vs TTUN. Mike’s Beer Bar was recommended, and it was hands down one of the best game day bar experiences we’ve ever had. The atmosphere was incredible, drink menu (both on tap and cans) showing a plethora of choices to satisfy anyone, and great food. The staff was second to none and very friendly as well. Already looking forward to our next visit!“

My French Dip Sandwich was excellent, as was the Grilled Cheese with bacon! The staff made us feel at home, and Emily went above and beyond to make our visit great, including charging our dead phone! “Wonderful atmosphere, workers and guests. Went for the .50 wings that were out of this world, crispy and seasoned well. 4 different flavors: ranch, mild buffalo, Emsworth sauce and hot barbecue. So yummy. Darrell the owner, came over to check on us a few times and was very kind and talkative. Ice cream sandwich was crazy good. Would 100% go again, we are already talking about it and willing to try the different specials as well!“

“Bar itself is great. Some really nice people at any given time as well. But all that goes from a 5 star experience to a zero whenever the ego maniac Julia happens to be working. She is a very toxic and demanding person hell bent on iron rule. She is the epitome of an overbearing, drama loving wannabe diva. Skip Mondays and Sundays and turn around any other day she happens to be filling in.“

“They went too high of a membership fee for what you get. Other than that, it's not a bad little place, most of the time. Despite the isolated incidents that have occurred there in the last few years to sully their reputation, it has a very relaxed atmosphere and cheap drinks. Wish a higher class of people frequented.“
