I had a large order last time for the family and she kindly asked if I would need help at all and kept an eye on my food while I pulled the car up to the entrance! “2nd trip here - changed up service to counter only. Order at counter, grab a table and they bring you your order. Food delicious as last time. Homemade baked goods - my wife loves their English muffins - used in their breakfast sandwiches and available for separate purchase. Sandwiches are huge. Get to Mt Oliver before summer 24 when they relocate to New Brighton. You won't be disappointed.“

The store is immaculate, and one of my favorite things is the double door system at the entrance which deters insects, varmints, and unsanitary conditions that come along with those. Oh, you can also watch the pitas being made through the glass wall as they come off the conveyor and get ready to come to your house.“

“My favorite breakfast spot in the Pittsburgh area! I usually get one of their many benedicts and they're always excellent. I've also tried a few omelets and biscuits and gravy.The menu is pretty large so there's something for everyone. I recommend reading before you go if you can because it can get overwhelming trying to read everything if they're busy.I've also tried some of their take home meals and they're really good too.It can get kind of busy on the weekend so there might be a wait but it's never been long.“

“I was there for a charity event. They had delicious snack type food. My chai tea was absolutely delicious. Service was great and everyone very friendly. Much of the historic charm of the building is intact. The only reason for a 4 on atmosphere was the music was a little too loud.“

“This is award winning food. Gluten-free heaven for me! I had the tuna melt on GF focaccia bread, it was SO delicious I had to reconfirm that it was GF. The tuna was exceptionally mouth watering. GF made peanut butter cookie alone was worth coming back for. Salad was fresh and dressed to perfection.“

“Coffee is amazing! Everyone is very nice. I only gave 4 starts because of the ice. It’s little small pieces of ice, from a cooler that melts instantly. I would love for them to serve big pieces of ice. So my ice coffee can stay cold, & not taste like water :/“

“I wasn't able to cook Christmas dinner. We were calling every place on Christmas day. Manny's was the only one to answer. Sam was so sweet. Even though they weren't doing orders to go or anything like that I think he really felt how much I needed this. Not just the food but a win you know. He so incredibly kind to me. We've never ate there. So, I hung up looked up the menu and called back with our order which was a big one. Again he was awesome answering questions about the food as I placed the order. Explained it would take a little bit since it was just him cooking it. I honestly didn't care how long it took as long as the food tasted half way decent. When my hubby and Mom went to get it he told them he wasn't able to make my tuna melt and what would I like in place of it. So hubby got me a hot sausage.I just want everyone to know how incredibly kind Sam was to me on this Christmas day. Even though he wasn't suppose to to do a to go order he understood my need. And my both my hubby and mom said when they went to pick the food up he was extremely kind. They also said the bar was a nice looking place. So, me and the hubby will be coming there soon,lol. Plus, the food was absolutely incredible!!! All 6 of us were very much satisfied.Thank you Sam from the bottom of my heart for what you did for me and my family today when I couldn't. It means more than you can ever know. I know my mom was only able to tip you so much due to the price of the bill but we will be down to have a drink so I may thank you personally and rectify that. “If you like a hometown, locally owned restaurant feel, this is a great place to visit. It has a bit of a Rustic / Grandma's kitchen vibe. Food is excellent! Omelettes are in my opinion stellar, with the proper amount of all ingredients. Bacon is awesome, thin and crispy, just how I like it! Pancakes are also excellent and super tasty. Overeasy eggs are also cooked perfectly. Carry and Barb are 2 of the best breakfast chefs I have had out, period.. As of 2023 I'm 50 years old so have had breakfast a ton of places locally and nationally. I live about 3 miles away from the restaurant location so since I discovered it I try to stop once or twice a week. Definitely one of Pittsburgh's hidden local neighborhood gems. It is one of those small local places where if you know how good it is, you KNOW, and remember....“
