“This has become my go-to coffee spot when I'm out and about for the day or when I just need a break from work. The atmosphere is chill and comfortable overall, and there a few different areas around the shop where you can sit (including an upstairs loft) depending on your day's vibe.My favorite coffee drinks are a little involved, so they take some time to make. I build that into my expectations, though, and I'm usually not waiting long anyway. At any rate, this is a friendly, welcoming environment and leaving the house and hanging out for a little bit is part of the point. I sometimes come here alone for a to-go coffee, other times my wife and I sit and chat here, and sometimes I meet friends for lunch. It's become a wonderful addition to my favorite community places. Not for nothing, I really enjoy the food, too, which is often an afterthought at coffee shops. The sandwiches are excellent and fresh and the baked goods are dangerously good.“
“I wasn't able to cook Christmas dinner. We were calling every place on Christmas day. Manny's was the only one to answer. Sam was so sweet. Even though they weren't doing orders to go or anything like that I think he really felt how much I needed this. Not just the food but a win you know. He so incredibly kind to me. We've never ate there. So, I hung up looked up the menu and called back with our order which was a big one. Again he was awesome answering questions about the food as I placed the order. Explained it would take a little bit since it was just him cooking it. I honestly didn't care how long it took as long as the food tasted half way decent. When my hubby and Mom went to get it he told them he wasn't able to make my tuna melt and what would I like in place of it. So hubby got me a hot sausage.I just want everyone to know how incredibly kind Sam was to me on this Christmas day. Even though he wasn't suppose to to do a to go order he understood my need. And my both my hubby and mom said when they went to pick the food up he was extremely kind. They also said the bar was a nice looking place. So, me and the hubby will be coming there soon, lol. Plus, the food was absolutely incredible!!! All 6 of us were very much satisfied.Thank you Sam from the bottom of my heart for what you did for me and my family today when I couldn't. It means more than you can ever know. I know my mom was only able to tip you so much due to the price of the bill but we will be down to have a drink so I may thank you personally and rectify that. Again thank you so very much! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!??Cristal?“
“We stopped in here at lunchtime. Doesn’t matter the time, they still serve breakfast! My husband had eggs over easy, wheat toast, sausage links, and coffee. He said everything was excellent. I had the cheesesteak hoagie, which is on Mancini‘s bread. I was very impressed with the hoagie, it was cooked perfectly, the lettuce and tomato were very fresh and delicious tasting… The whole sandwich was delicious tasting! ?Our waitress, Deb, was was friendly and efficient. We love the ambience of small diners, this one had that wonderful country charm.Bottom line is that we would definitely return again, especially with some of our family in tow ?.Parking: There was parking all along the side of the building.“
“ECHT is an eclectic yet laid back spot where you can try great food and catch up with friends or enjoy some solo dining. The physical space is intriguiging to look at, and they have a wide variety of items including but not limited to coffee, tea, cocktails, and breakfast and lunch fare.“
“Clean and colorful, all-gender friendly, delicious coffee cakes, very nice owner. He really has a sense of community and is using his space to do good in the community through neighborhood clean-ups, chess events for all levels, and more. Check it out.“
“2nd trip here - changed up service to counter only. Order at counter, grab a table and they bring you your order. Food delicious as last time. Homemade baked goods - my wife loves their English muffins - used in their breakfast sandwiches and available for separate purchase. Sandwiches are huge. Get to Mt Oliver before summer 24 when they relocate to New Brighton. You won't be disappointed.“
“A wonderful meal and great service. The young people are hardworking and attentive. More importantly, as a nonprofit, you are supporting a program that provides wraparound services for youth who have intersected with the juvenile justice system.“
“What a gem! So glad we can get Vietnamese egg coffee in Pittsburgh! The milk tea here is also incredible. He uses fresh mangos for the mango matcha and it is SO good. You can taste the freshness and quality in all his drinks. The owner is super friendly. Really hoping this place takes off!“
“The atmosphere is a cute n' cozy country spot, yet it's right in North Side! It truly feels like the store takes you somewhere else, and boy does that biscuit sandwich take your breath somewhere else too! Wow it was so delicious, I was genuinely shocked because I haven't eaten something that incredible in a while! The service was lovely, and the waiter was incredibly kind enough to get me another refill on their drool worthy tea! All around I had a great experience and i'll certainly be back soon :) Thank you for such a great experience!“
“Wowza!! What a hidden gem.Six of us went here for dinner last night. It was the first visit for all of us and we were all blown away by the food. Definitely the best meal I've had in ages. Maybe the best meal I've had in Pittsburgh??? It's cozy and unassuming. The team there is very genuine and friendly. I can't wait to go back and to bring everyone I know! :)“
“Independent Mediterranean Market. Nice size, good selection of Mediterranean regional foods. Olive bar, house made pitas, sandwiches to go, other regional food products.Employees were nice and very friendly. I will update this review after a couple more visits. My First visit was in Feb. 2024.“
“Very personable, welcoming. Coffee shop establishment with homemade delicious almond Danish, date cookies that go with the specialty coffee made with date paste- to die for. Brothers who operate the place ate very kindKid-friendliness: Open environment, caters more to coffee/tea drinkers. Is pet friendly, I observed doggie treats and water bowlWheelchair accessibility: Doorways are wide enough for a wheelchair“
“We stopped here for breakfast during a weekend getaway. The employees were super nice! We got pastries for us and our two daughters, and lattes. Everything was amazing, Especially the cinnamon roll and caramel apple latte! We will definitely be back in the future when visiting.“
“This is my favorite place for tea in Pittsburgh! It’s not only a fun little shop with delicious tea curated by the owner, but has delightful surprises in the form of locally handmade gifts to fit any person and budget. The vegan pastries (in spite of my not being vegan) are incredible, too! Try some specialty drinks, herbal cold brew (tastes just like coffee!), or a hot cup of any of the hundreds of tea/herbal choices. If you drop in, save time for a walkabout in quirky, fun little Millvale or a relaxing chat on the inviting rainbow patio out back.“
“Very solid spot for a snack or some coffee and a treat. Solid prices and a nice atmosphere. They have most of the classic coffee shop creations. I tried their hot cocoa, brownie, and chocolate chip cookie.Their desserts seem to be made in house. The brownie varieties vary from day to day, and this time, it was just a chocolate frosted one with sprinkles. The brownie had tons of pieces of chocolate in it, and the frosting was tasty as well. A tad dry, but still good. The chocolate chip cookie was only $1! What an amazing price and deal. It was very tasty as well, also having big chunks of chocolate in it. I’d definitely recommend. The hot cocoa was quite milky and honestly didn’t have much flavor. I was hoping for a chocolatey flavor, but it wasn’t there. Still, solid, and I’m sure the coffee is probably their specialty and likely better. All in all, I definitely enjoyed this place. Reasonable prices, solid portions, and a nice assortment of in house desserts. I’d return!Vegetarian options: Flatbreads, salads, desserts, etcKid-friendliness: Lots of desserts that could be used in a birthday celebration“
“Got a 412 with vanilla syrup and a blueberry muffin. ? Both of the guys behind the counter were super nice. Someone ahead of us forgot their phone, and the Barista went running out and chased down the guy to give it back. That's above and beyond to me. Many people would just stow it for when the person came back. The 412 was delicious, and the muffin he gave me actually wound up being chocolate, but I didn't realize till I got to my car. It was still awesome and fresh. I'm not saying don't go to Starbucks across the street, but local is Thank you!!“
“I'm happy this Caffe Mona is here in the strip, because it's got a great vibe that's relaxed (no tvs, low music), and great fresh food. I was surprised by how much I enjoyed the savory crepe. I will be going back for sure.Only (small) complaint is that my plate had like 8 chips which felt like an afterthought and not a side.If you've never been, it can be a surprise to see a menu that's basically just crepes (sweet or savory) and omelettes. It seems like they have a burger, but it's not the main thing.“
“Another restaurant, and another hit by Richard DeShantz. Atmosphere was amazing with a colorful decor and a great throwback playlist. All entrees were extremely well liked but my #1 rec would DEF be the Egg Ric Muffin. Amazing taste especially with the Canadian bacon. Another high recommendation for this restaurant “
“The famous coffee shop located on the strip! We stopped in & it was busy! Beautiful coffee shop with the best chill vibes! Staff was friendly. Latte with oat milk was delicious & STRONG! Loved the entire vibe of this coffee shop! The aged brick, natural light & cheerful vibes was such a pleasant atmosphere.“
“Coffee shop with breakfast and lunch options and a dining area with a super nice atmosphere... fireplace, exposed rafters and well decorated. Order at the counter and they bring it to your table. I had a delicious spinach omelet, which came with today and well seasoned home fries and toast. Owner is friendly and welcoming. Great place for coffee and a meal.“
“I love this place, it’s my favorite local coffee shop on the Northside. The staff are very nice and I love their lattes. Caffeine will sometimes heighten my anxiety but I’ve never felt that after getting coffee here, their lattes are just the right blend for me.“
“The Pork Banh Mi is so refreshingly fresh and tasty! Their vermicelli bowls are on the smaller side, but tasty. I’m usually in for a tea, and occasionally treat myself to a Banh Mi.Needless to say, thanks to the food and the ladies who run this place, I’m a regular!“
“What a cute place! The barista was super sweet and made the whole place feel very welcoming. She was on top of asking about any diet restrictions or milk substitutes. I got a raspberry matcha iced latte and it was the best thing I've ever had!“
“La Gourmandine has a great selection of pastries and breakfast danishes and all of them are delicious and not pricey. The interior design is super cute and the service is very fast. The Tarte Au Citron is great if you want something that isn't too sweet - the tart and the lemon combination is delicious. There are also seasonal specials to look forward to. I've also ordered a few cakes from here and the process and pick-up is seamless.“
“Indulging in the delightful offerings of our local crepe cafe is an absolute joy! The menu is a culinary delight, boasting a variety of sweet and savory crepes that cater to every palate. Each crepe is a masterpiece – thin, yet perfectly indulgent, with fresh, quality ingredients that burst with flavor. The cozy ambiance adds to the overall experience, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. Whether you're craving a classic Nutella-filled treat or a savory masterpiece, this cafe never disappoints. Impeccable service and a passion for crepe craftsmanship make it a must-visit for those who appreciate the art of French-inspired culinary bliss.“
“Will absolutely make multiple return visits! This place is such a hidden gem, and much more spacious inside than it appears from the street. Great coffee and food, and MUCH more affordable than expected. I parked in one of the dedicated for spots for free, then got a 12oz drip coffee with a delicious breakfast sandwich, all for less than $6. Can't wait to try out more on their menu! To top it off, the WiFi is strong for working or studying, and there are clean restrooms on-site. Happy I discovered this place!Parking: A few free spots are located next to the shop. Street parking is free in the permit parking zones according to the hours on the signs. Otherwise, paid parking can be found in the area.“
“My first time in Pittsburgh and was brought to this awesome little spot on Butler St. Great selection of new and vintage tables which made for a fun hang on a rainy afternoon. You can grab a coffee or BYOB and make the rounds on some well maintained tables.“
“I've eaten at Delaney's just one other time and was very happy with the food. I stopped in today for a coffee and treat. I got the almond croissant but was prepared to be disappointed. Too often, when I've purchased almond croissants elsewhere, I find that there isn't enough almond filling.Well, let me just say that I was not disappointed today! The filling went almost to the very end on both sides of the croissant and there was plenty spread all throughout. The croissant is flaky but I wouldn't have cared if it had the density of a bagel. The filling did it for me.Good coffee, service felt a smidgeon slow but it i was in and out in less than 10 minutes so, that was just me. And, the people at the counter were just lovely-- very polite, professional, and pleasant.I would definitely recommend Delaney's for coffee and a treat to start the day. Or for lunch.“
“I wish I lived closer, but I will often detour on my way to work to stop in. This is a great place, coffee is great and reasonably priced, I almost always get a pastry and they are excellent. Lovely vibe and the staff are friendly and welcoming.“
“This cute little coffee shop is awesome. It didn’t show up when I was searching for local coffee shops on google but I stumbled on it anyways. I had a pumpkin latte which was delicious and served quickly. The store is clean and has a very unique design.“
“This is a good small coffee shop with quality drinks and food (loved the hummus breakfast wrap) and a upstairs seating area that is good for business meetings or social occasions. I recommend this as a better spot than the local Starbucks and the staff are very friendly.“
“Yinz Coffee is an asset to Bloomfield. I love that its open a little later than a lot of other coffee places. The staff are always friendly, quick and make great coffee. Love that they support local artists and welcome everyone in the community through their doors.“
“This place is super cute. We came here last weekend because the weather was so nice and they have a really nice patio area. The food we got was really really good. We got the shakshuka. mushroom melt sandwich, and a sticky bun. Everything was good but the line is quite long and some of the food they sell (i.e. tea, jams, etc.) were expired so just be careful.“
“Lovely bakery & cafe in upper Lawrenceville. The aesthetic inside is cute and cozy but has a unique feel to it with the long velvet curtains and dried flowers. The sweets are super tasty! I tried the cardamom rose cake and it was to die for. Will 100% be back.“
“I’ve frequented MOODZ Co since they were a juice bar, but I honestly understand why they’ve pivoted to serving food. It’s REALLY good. I realized I had to post a review because the oyster mushroom wings were 10/10 (I will say they’re more like a calamari texture in my humble opinion) I also don’t usually enjoy eggrolls but AJ (owner) recommended I try his vegan Philly cheese steak eggrolls and OMG they’re even better than the mushroom wings/calamaris. Seriously impressed and I’m glad they’re still around to serve vegan options to the Pittsburgh area!PS - I stole these pic from the MOODZ Co IG page because I ate everything too fast to document :)“
“Love this place. Food is incredible and the restaurant itself is quaint and homey. Get the cold brew if you're a coffee lover!Vegetarian options: Caprese Sandwich and many, many more option.Wheelchair accessibility: I could easily fit my manual wheelchair in the door and into a seated position at a table. Staff was very accommodating.“
“What a gem of a place. I always stop when I can and I love to grab a loaf of bread. Their selection is excellent. It’s one of my favorite places. I recommend dining in or grabbing a few things to go.Kid-friendliness: I always see families when I am in here. It’s a nice neighborhood place.“
“This place is so cute and well decorated! I love the vibe and there was lots of seating to choose from. My orange cardamom latte was so delicious and flavorful and the bahn mi was also quite good. You pay at the front and then go back up to get your food once your name is called. They were quick and efficient and everything was good quality!“
“The Man, The Myth, The Legend…. Chef Mike absolutely tearing it up in the kitchen. Speaking with him about his history in the catering world and having a brick and mortar business was nothing short of the most welcoming conversation I’ve ever had with the Chef himself. Food was killer! I tried the ribs, Mac and cheese, yams, and the gumbo. All were phenomenal!! I’m extremely judgmental when it comes to flavor and perfection when it comes to soul food, BBQ and I’ll definitely make this a permanent stop when I’m in Pittsburgh. Take the ride to his business and show him the same love you’ll get from him!!Kid-friendliness: Seating and a feeling of a safe quiet atmosphere.“
“Stopped in this morning with the family. We all got some bagels and I ordered the bacon/avocado/greens on an everything bagel. The sandwich was one of the best breakfast sandwiches I have ever had. Good crispy bacon very fresh veggies. Can’t wait to go back!“
“This bar/restaurant is fantastic! I would give it 15 stars if I could. The bartender, Charley, is incredibly talented. He made the BEST espresso martini I have ever had. The food was delicious. My husband and I each got fish sandwiches which tasted incredible. Their soups are homemade and we tried the seafood chowder and their cream of mushroom soup. Both soups were out of this world! Compliments to the chef, for sure! The atmosphere was wonderful. The natural handmade wooden bar-top is a focal point for sure! Overall it was a really enjoyable time! This is a great spot and I would highly recommend it to anyone and everyone! You won’t be disappointed!“
“This place was great. I got a club sandwich, soup and wings. Everything was perfect. I almost went back to buy another club sandwich because it was so good. The perfect amount of meat, bread was toasted to perfect. I will be stopping and eating there at least 2 times a week now.“
“What a lovely surprise here in South Hills. I am rarely here and mostly for work; I searched for a cafe on Google and chose Colombino Coffee and I am very pleased. First of all the place is original, quirky, very nice, cozy, and clean. The barista welcomed me with a big smile and she was very friendly and her cappuccino is hands down the best I've had in Pittsburgh and surroundings. I love the lid with the stopper. They have a kitchen and some pastries on display. They also sell granola bars, chips, coffee and other goodies. I was here on a Thursday around 11:30 and there was only one more person working. If I lived here I'd definitely be working here too.The cafe has a parking lot shared with the other businesses so I doubt parking is ever a problem.Absolutely recommended!“
“Tons of gluten free options (including the best gf bread in Pittsburgh), really tasty food, and the staff leaves me the cutest drawings on my orders. It's pricey but sometimes i need a treat haha.Dietary restrictions: Gluten free (I have Celiac and have not gotten sick!)“
“My favorite place to eat on craig street. The ingredient quality here is really good so I feel good eating here on a regular basis rather than chipotle or Chinese food every day.The new Korean bulgogi bowl is pretty good. Very filling and healthy option for only $13“
“Wife and I used to go to the restaurants in the columbus circle flagship store when we lived in NYC. We loved eating there. We came to Nordstrom here at Ross Park and noticed they had a cafe. We immediately decided to have dinner here, and it was a great experience.Great staff, great food. Hidden gem.“
“As I've posted before, I'm a bit of a coffee snob and I prefer local, non-corporate coffee. I also like places with personality, great customer service and, of course, great coffee. Cafe cravings had it all. It's old school -- and seems to attract people from all walks of life. There was a line out the door and only two workers but they were hustling while simultaneously bantering with the locals and maintaining a great attitude. We ordered breakfast sandwiches and an americano, which were as tasty as we'd have hoped, but the 5 star review has far more to do with the authenticity of this neighborhood gem. I look forward to my next visit.“
“My favorite breakfast spot in the Pittsburgh area! I usually get one of their many benedicts and they're always excellent. I've also tried a few omelets and biscuits and gravy. The menu is pretty large so there's something for everyone. I recommend reading before you go if you can because it can get overwhelming trying to read everything if they're busy.I've also tried some of their take home meals and they're really good too.It can get kind of busy on the weekend so there might be a wait but it's never been long.“
“We decided to walk through the Southside down to the Highline to see what's new. We checked out the Burgers menu and then continued to De fer @ The Highline to take the chill off. Arriving around 11am, it was quiet with just the right music buzz and volume for a pleasant stay. The barrista was pleasant and set to making our cappuccinos like a real coffee shop. They were beautifully presented and delicious. The shop has a french motif but opens to a modern industrial lobby with comfy chairs, where it seems a number of small work meetings were taking place. The lobby is large, and the furniture is well spaced for privacy. The lobby has charging available for electronics. As a bonus, if you are reducing your carbon footprint, the parking garage has vehicle charging stations. We left De fer for a walk on the trail as noon approached, and the shop got busier with people coming in for snacks, salads, and cold drinks.“
“We ordered our Easter brunch items from Dagny's Eatery and we were not disappointed. The quiche's (potato leak & Ham/cheddar) and the carrot cake were next level amazing! My whole family were raving how amazing these items were. I would highly, highly recommend ordering items for your next brunch here. I know we will be back for seconds and thirds! :)Parking: plenty of parking and depending on the time/day you might need to pay the meter“
