“A great place to take a break in historic Carnegie Borough ! ------------------+++++ Carnegie Coffee Company is The place to meet in Carnegie! Of course the coffee is great, the staff is wonderful, and the ambiance is homey and welcoming! There are many rotating choices of treats, sandwiches, and salads! The kitchen is quick and my friends and I have always enjoyed our selections. There is ample parking out front and even some secret spots in the back if you can get them. Front and rear entrances offer great access. Customers include an eclectic crowd of locals and visitors, young and old, moms and babies, friends and families, singles and groups, and even a few old timers! The store is family owned and the personal touch shines through in everything they do! There's lots of seating downstairs and up, the ordering line moves quickly, and I've even shared a table during the busiest times. Carnegie Coffee opens early and is open through the day. It is centrally located in the mix of restaurants and shops that comprise Carnegie's Main Street and downtown. This is a great place to take a break in historic Carnegie Borough!“

“Overall good service but with a mishap for my friend and long wait time. I came with a few girlfriends for brunch. The meal that I ordered (pancake, potatoes and sausage) was great. However we all waited at least 40 mins to get our meals. Not only that the waiter messed up one of my friend's order and gave her the wrong food! But they did apologize and gave her a gift card. I would come back for the food but not during peak hours.“

“If you like a hometown, locally owned restaurant feel, this is a great place to visit. It has a bit of a Rustic / Grandma's kitchen vibe. Food is excellent! Omelettes are in my opinion stellar, with the proper amount of all ingredients. Bacon is awesome, thin and crispy, just how I like it! Pancakes are also excellent and super tasty. Overeasy eggs are also cooked perfectly. Carry and Barb are 2 of the best breakfast chefs I have had out, period.. As of 2023 I'm 50 years old so have had breakfast a ton of places locally and nationally. I live about 3 miles away from the restaurant location so since I discovered it I try to stop once or twice a week. Definitely one of Pittsburgh's hidden local neighborhood gems. It is one of those small local places where if you know how good it is, you KNOW, and remember....“

“I wasn't able to cook Christmas dinner. We were calling every place on Christmas day. Manny's was the only one to answer. Sam was so sweet. Even though they weren't doing orders to go or anything like that I think he really felt how much I needed this. Not just the food but a win you know. He so incredibly kind to me. We've never ate there. So, I hung up looked up the menu and called back with our order which was a big one. Again he was awesome answering questions about the food as I placed the order. Explained it would take a little bit since it was just him cooking it. I honestly didn't care how long it took as long as the food tasted half way decent. When my hubby and Mom went to get it he told them he wasn't able to make my tuna melt and what would I like in place of it. So hubby got me a hot sausage.I just want everyone to know how incredibly kind Sam was to me on this Christmas day. Even though he wasn't suppose to to do a to go order he understood my need. And my both my hubby and mom said when they went to pick the food up he was extremely kind. They also said the bar was a nice looking place. So, me and the hubby will be coming there soon, lol. Plus, the food was absolutely incredible!!! All 6 of us were very much satisfied.Thank you Sam from the bottom of my heart for what you did for me and my family today when I couldn't. It means more than you can ever know. I know my mom was only able to tip you so much due to the price of the bill but we will be down to have a drink so I may thank you personally and rectify that. Again thank you so very much! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!??Cristal?“

“Don't let the exterior fool you, they have some dang good food. We had a couple of fish sandwiches and a half dozen wings on wing night. We weren't expecting them to be massive whole wings but they were, making the $1/wing price a great value. The fish sandwiches were also massive and delicious. Drinks were cheap and strong. There was a friendly, mature crowd there, a bit loud with yelling, but the yelling was that of a good time, not anger. We clearly were newcomers but the crowd was friendly, especially a guy who said his mom was the cook and made us feel welcome. I'll come back here for sure.“

Loafers Bread Co Bakery • $
10600 Perry Hwy, Wexford - 8.67 miles

“Yum!! What a great option for lunch?! I usually do Panera or Zuppas but, today,I wanted to try something new. They have a ton of bread (duh!), sandwiches and salads. I had the pick two combo... you get half of a sandwich and a cup of soup or small salad for $6.59. That's really affordable for delicious food! The ladies here were super friendly and got my food put together within 2 minutes. There are enough eating for 50 people, about 10 outside and 40 inside. Today, I got the turkey/bacon club and a cup of chicken gumbo. The gumbo was not spicy at all but very flavorable. The club was pretty good - turkey was thinly sliced and toppings were high quality. I, also, got the lemon blueberry pound cake for the team and that was really good (especially when paired with coffee). I'll have to add this joint to my weekly lunch routine!“

“the food was good but was very turned off by the cleanliness of the place. It definitely needs a good cleaning, the window AC unit was disgusting and the heating vent above the refrigerator was loaded with grease and dust clumps. the backside of the crepe grill was also dripping with grease.the young male cook on the crepe station kept.taking his gloves off and running his hands through his hair, at one point he blew his nose and put his gloves back on without ever washing his hands the whole time we were waiting for our food. the food was good so i would be willing to try the new place on Steubenville Pike hoping it will be clean.“
