“Where to start. We have probably driven by this place dozens of times as we pass through Lancaster back to home in Maryland. We were looking for a place to grab dinner and saw this on Yelp (sorry Tripadvisor). Wow! There is a fairly limited menu of either burgers, cheesesteaks or chicken dishes. But who needs a million choices when what they do, they do amazingly. We got the single patty burgers. You can go up to four, yes, four. We also ordered them with the fried cheese curd, which is a patty of mozzarella cheese that's deep fried and put on the burger. Did I say "yummy!" yet? Made with a fresh beef patty and put on a buttered bun, it was soooo good! The burger was just absolutely delicious. Best burger I've had in ages, hands down. And where can you get a fresh made burger for $5.99? I mean really, $5.99. The fried cheese curd added $2.25 but well worth it for still less than $8.50. We also ordered a side of fries and an order of onion rings. The onion rings were just how I like them with a crispy panko style coating. They were great! Again, best onion rings I've had in a long time, if not forever. We barely touched the hand cut fries due to filling up on the burger and onion rings, but they were also good. We got the Route 66 sauce on the burgers and a cup to dip the onion rings in. Again, delicious. Note that if you are looking for bacon on your burger, this is a Halal restaurant and there is none. I'm a big fan of bacon on my burger, but you won't need it, trust me. This is definitely a place we will be coming back to. A bit of warning that parking may be a little challenging for folks not used to driving in a city and inside the place is pretty tight. We did not have to wait for a table, but I imagine there could be a wait at times. But it would be well worth any wait!!“

“Stopped in for an impromptu dinner date to find out it was bingo night. My husband and I enjoyed playing bingo while sampling their awesome beers. We split the hot honey garlic chicken sandwich and both agree it is possibly the best chicken sandwich we’ve had since moving to PA. We’re already looking forward to going back.“

“Been coming to Friendly’s since I was a kid, I was worried maybe it went downhill like so many other chains, but not even close. Food was great, hot and the prices are fair. The free dessert with kids meals is one of the best values out there. Our server was great, you can tell she’s old school and still has a good work ethic, which I don’t see so much often. The restaurant is so cute inside but not very spacious, I would go at a time it’s not extremely busy to get a table right away. They also have nice outdoor seating that is dog friendly.“

“The three of us went for a late lunch and even though we had to wait about 20-25 minutes to get a seat, the staff for the most part were really friendly. “I remember coming here as a teenager and it was always the best cheesteak/cheeseburger sub in the city. Since then it's slowly gone downhill with the taste, presentation and environment. Sometimes the burgers are burnt or the cheesesteak has no flavor etc. It mostly has to do with the idiots that have been hired in the past but still has downgraded. I wish it was the old speeds to be honest. I really miss that. It's still really busy all the time though so I know they get good business“

“On the night of my wife’s birthday, we found ourselves at the end of a long 4.5 hour car ride coming home, craving a special treat. We arrived just before closing (we know, everyone hates that) but employee Chris went above and beyond helping us out. He was patient, offered good suggestions, and hooked us up with a special blizzard complete with a lit birthday candle for my wife! If he’s not already shift manager, he should be! “My family and I ate here today . The restaurant is clean and they have a lot of great drink options . I love the orange cream soda and blackberry soda. Also, chicken cheesesteaks and waffle fries are awesome with their homemade honey mustard! Also, the girl at the front counter was very nice and wrapped the fries up for us!
