“Note: Cash only! They do have an atm.Stopped in for some breakfast sandwiches this morning--I have to say, we've been coming to the area for years and I'm pretty mad I just came in here for the first time.Gave me some ny deli vibes without the hustle-bustle, brusqueness, and city prices. Also, there's some really nice seating, self-serve coffee, the ability to buy and grind coffee beans, fresh pastries, etc. Essentially a classic deli/coffee shop, but done to perfection. Everyone I interacted with was very kind, and the food was superb (and really cheap for the quality). I'll be back! Also a note--I saw one of the more heartwarming interactions between a staff member and regular that I've ever seen. A regular came in who I gathered was going through a rough patch, and he was offered a hug, which he accepted. I tell this story because it's apparent that this is a place run by good people that care about the community. They deserve your patronage.”
“We live right here in Mountain Home. So ths is not a “weekender” sending in a review. If it wasn’t the BEST place ever, tje locals would never go back. Aside from that, they make the absolutely most wonderful sandwiches and Rays homemade soups are fantastic. Also aside, the folks that work there go above and beyond to help you with your order. Friendly , cheerful, it’s the place you go when you need a lift, coffee or smile wise. Spend a little time there, if you want “in and out” in 10 minutes, to go a fast food place on the highway. Those of us here in town love the atmosphere and the friendship. Weekend welcome, too.”
“Best kept secret in the Poconos...well until now...its true just like is says on the walls...no strangers only friends you haven't met yet...couldn't say it better myself. Love this place. ?”
“Best place in the Poconos after 10:00 p.m. the bar menu is great Thursday night is karaoke can't be a steak dinner for 20 bucks and entertainment of the local women singing their hearts outKid-friendliness: My 2-year-old son is always the center of attention and he loves it all the employees are super friendly feels like family dinner”
“On our Family Vacation to Camelback and this cute NY pizza and restaurant caught our eye for dinner. The rice balls were amazing and so was the pizza as well as the seafood dish my son ordered. We decided to try the zeppoli for dessert and this took us back to growing up in Brooklyn and Long Island. Yummy! Definitely worth a visit when you’re craving Italian.Parking: Available right in the front.Kid-friendliness: Great for kids”
“Angie was my server and she’s such a good time very sweet and knows how to hold a conversation! The food was amazing too very filling and the place is not too loud!”
“I have been wanting to stop bye and sample their delightful treats and glad I did, bought some cookies and chocolate cupcakes and a crumb cake slice. The baker/owner was attentive to my requests and made a number of suggestions and placed them in a box for me. When you’re looking to treat yourself after a long day or week look no further!! ENJOY!!!!”
“We got a catering order from Nick's and it was awesome! 4 ft Italian sub was delicious. Antipasta had a great presentation and tasted great. The eggplant parm we ordered I never got to try because everyone was going back for more! Nick and staff were personable and friendly as well! I would definitely order from here again. Thank you for supplying us with great food for my birthday party!”
“Visited there for our first time yesterday, and all I gotta say is, wow?. The boneless wings had flavor and were really good! We drove from NY. Well worth it! If you're around the Poconos and looking for good chicken wings, this is the place.”
“Absolutely blown away by the food! Probably the best restaurant I’ve visited this far. The food was exceptional. I ordered the Chilean Sea Bass and the chocolate cake. They sat us right next to the water, which I loved! We had an amazing view of the sky turning pink as the sun set. Our waiter was also very sweet and ensured that we were taken care of.”
“We stop here on our way home from Mt. Airy and every time we do, the staff is friendly and helpful. Not to mention their delicious cheesecakes! Pumpkin is my favorite and I can't wait until it's back!”
“Great authentic food and atmosphere. On a trip to Wolf Lodge and we needed to eat something good and healthy. Going back tomorrow as well. Great place to eat!”
“Love, love, love this place! The question should be what don't I recommend and the answer is NOTHING! We stayed at the b&b so had the opportunity to have several breakfasts, plus we ate dinner here a couple evenings. Mark is a fabulous chef with a grasp of fun and tasty food combinations. Breakfasts offerings were from traditional to comfort to just plain fabulous. The dinner menu is compiled weekly by Mark and it makes you want to eat here several times in order to try the various dishes. On separate occasions we had a couple of the lemon cocktails, the fois Gras appetizer, curry soup, sea bass (phenomenal), lobster pasta, prosciutto flat bread, chop and both desserts. Everything was absolutely delicious! We needed a few more nights in order to sample more of the menu! I highly recommend eating here, and if possible on more than one occasion!”
“Amazing ice cream and Excellent selection. My friends and I came here and went crazy. We stopped by after dinner and I’m so glad we did. They have so many awesome flavors, everyone of which were absolutely delish. The ice cream is made with fresh milk from Mannings farm if I’m not mistaken. Very creamy and definitely tastes fresh. Everything we ordered was good. So much that when we left, right before exiting the parking lot one of us jumped out a moving car (jk) to grab 2 pints to take home. Staff were very friendly and efficient. My banana split was made w love. Compared to NY these prices were fantastic, super worth for what you get and the portions are very generous. Scoops are hefty! An absolute must try, if you’re nearby stop by, periodt. YUM!”
“From the moment you step through the door, you're greeted with warm hospitality and a vibrant ambiance that sets the stage for an unforgettable dining experience. The restaurant's décor is reminiscent of an authentic Puerto Rico experience. But it's the food that truly steals the show. Each dish is skillfully crafted to showcase the rich flavors and diverse culinary traditions of Puerto Rico. The service at El Rincon is equally commendable, with staff members who go above and beyond to ensure that every guest feels welcome and cared for.In conclusion with its excellent food, attentive service, and inviting atmosphere, it's the perfect destination for anyone seeking authentic Puerto Rican food.Whether you're celebrating a special occasion, simply craving a memorable meal or driving two hours (as we do) a visit to El Rincon is absolutely worth it.”
“Honestly needed a actual good seafood place around here. None of that long John's or anything like that.Got some of the catfish and that fish had a nice crunch from the batter and the actual fish just flaked apart. Wonderful flavor. Also enjoying the coleslaw which I'm usually not a fan of.Definitely check this place out! Good food and good vibes!”
“The food was good . Tastes were pretty authentic. The atmosphere was quiet, plain. The services was okay, nothing to brag about, I had to get eye contact of a worker and asked If I could be seated for dune in.. although every worker I've spoken to was nice.I wished they had some sort of music on, it would be better then to be able to hear everyone else conversations around me.Parking: There are plenty of parking”
“New Yorkers bunked at great wolf lodge for our 4 day weekend approved!Definitely the best pizza in town. We ordered pizza and wings, way cheaper (and better) than we found in the resort. Absolutely no complaints. Thanks for your hard work guys. Took time out a busy mommy with kids weekend just to leave this here ✌️ ? ?”
“The waitress was great carried on a good conversation with us the food was very tasty and the price was about averageWheelchair accessibility: It's on the ground floor wide door to get in no stairs”
“The staff was very welcoming. She told us what food they were know for, she was definitely right!! Their cheese steak special is delicious, you get half a cheese steak and 6 wings of your choice.”
“BEST place to get a cheesesteak on the mountain (in my opinion)! Not only is Sherry an absolute pleasure to talk to but the food DOES NOT disappoint. My kids love the funnel fries and cheesy bacon ranch fries. The chili cheese fries are a definite go to. I get a cheesesteak loaded (mushrooms, onions and sweet and hot peppers) with mayo and ketchup. Boy is it LOADED and.....OUT OF THIS WORLD. Thank you, Sherry and your crew, for great food!!!!Just a note.....cash only.”
“If the amount of time we spent here is any indication... we loved it! We spent 2 hours exploring the menu and enjoying our couples' time together. The place is very cozy and intimate. They have a retro, warm, inviting decor with a notable single tapered candle surrounded by a glass chimney on the counter. The kitchen is very small but packed with some fun, top-level, modern equipment. We started with a sage tea, a very berry smoothie, lox, and a ham and cheese croissant sandwich with a side salad. Later, we tried a matcha affigato, blueberry muffin, and a vanilla latte to conclude our visit. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and will return! There is a spa and inn attached, which we hope to check out in the future! There are about 6 tables outdoors over two separate areas, which would be fun to relax at when the weather is warmer. They were very friendly and welcoming during our extended stay.”
“Vacationing in Poconos with the family and had a taste for tacos. Googled local places and Zacks popped up. Environment lives up to its name, we loved it. Hostess was welcoming and provided us with info on menu. Order came out timely as orders are made fresh. We ate in car to enjoy food warm but they do provide outdoor seating. WORTH IT!!! The food smelled great and tasted even better. Fresh ingredients, crispy nacos/tacos, hand crafted tortillas, tender seasoned meat (I'm drooling typing this). We highly recommend stopping by if in the area, you will not be disappointed. Cash only, but have ATM there.Kid-friendliness: Our kids are picky but ate all their food.”
“we rolled up with a group of 16 for dine-in near closing time during the grand opening. the staff were courteous, the pizza came out really fast and was DELICIOUS. Highly recommend this place!”
“Such a great little place with great food!! The place was very clean and staff was very friendly. Plus they had the best gluten free bread my wife has ever had. We ate there 3 times in two days while we were in town. Thank you!!Dietary restrictions: gluten free options”
“My family and I came here for breakfast because we didnt want to spend another 80$ on the breakfast buffet at Great Wolf Lodge. The Diner is well maintained and the food was beyond expectation. The greater was pleasant the waitress was extremely helpful and the cook was on point. The sweet potato french fries were cooked to perfection and not soggy. My sister had the Greece special and was stuffed. The delicately crisp spinach pie was delicious. I myself had the gyro which was also well made and I could tell the tzatziki sauce was homemade. Very nice. If we come back to the Poconos again I would definitely consider stopping her again.”
“We stopped in yesterday after reading about the deli on Things To Do In The Poconos. We picked up sauerkraut, potato cheddar, and potato and onion pierogies from the freezer section. They were excellent and authentic. We took them home and boiled and pan fried them and really enjoyed them. I thought $8 a dozen was a reasonable price. The husband and wife were super friendly and very helpful and welcoming. Looking forward to going back!”
“As a Moorish American, I always have a great experience at Got Beans! Angie and her staff consistently provide me and my friends with exceptional service, courtesy, and respect. I highly recommend this place!Vegetarian options: Vegetarian subs available.Kid-friendliness: Mechanical rides for children here.”
“Super quaint and small diner with a great atmosphere and friendly staff. To top it off, food was really good and definitely hit the spot - home fries were phenomenal! Would definitely recommend!”
“The Daily Bread Bakeshop is a European-style artisan bakery that opened in Mountainhome, Pennsylvania in 2003. It was founded by husband and wife Kevin & Traci Conroy. After his family relocated to the Poconos from Long Island, Kevin worked in a number of country inns; first as a waiter and then as a chef. He met Traci at the Pump House in Canadensis; she was a waitress and he was the sous chef. They married a year later and began a catering business that they ran for nine years. For years, Kevin kept his eye on a little circa-1910 shop building in Mountainhome. The Conroys finally bought it in 2002 with a dream of opening their own bakery. Kevin never worked as a baker until he opened up the bakery. He was a completely self-taught baker and chef. While Kevin spent most of his time focusing on baking all of the breads from scratch, Traci focused on baking the pies, cookies and pastries. Kevin sadly passed away in 2019, but Traci and their adult children Nicole and Philip are continuing his dream and legacy at the bakery. My family and I recently visited The Daily Bread Bakeshop while we were spending Memorial Day weekend in the Poconos. We had driven by it during other times that we stayed in the Poconos, and thought we should stop by one morning and grab something for breakfast. The place was packed when we stopped in, but the air smelled so good. The small shop had a great selection of various bread loaves, cookies, pies, croissants, bagels, rolls, cupcakes and brownies. We decided to get a loaf of Lemon Blueberry Sourdough, a loaf of Jalapeño Popper Sourdough (loaded with Cheddar Cheese and Jalapeños), and a Dark Chocolate Peppermint square. Everything that we purchased was delicious and so fresh tasting. We'll definitely be stopping back again the next time we're in the Poconos.”
