“We had booked Veda for our daughter's wedding welcome dinner on 5/3/24. The whole process from the time we contacted them till we had our function was smooth. They were very accommodating to our requirements and went beyond our expectations. If you are looking to have a large gathering I will definitely recommend doing a buyout. We decided on the menu and then we were guests at our own dinner. It is full service. The ambience was good and our guests enjoyed both the food and their awesome selection of cocktails. Gaurav Bhardwaj and Brazil provided excellent service. Did I mention Food? Very Good and Flavorful. We are from Delhi and big foodies, and I must tell you that they superseded our expectations. The décor is very pleasant and we didn't need to do anything additional They provided us two stations for our henna ladies. Our function was a big hit. Check them out for your next baby shower, engagement, birthday function!!!!!“

“We ordered a large sample of their food: samosa chat, onion naan, Chana saag, lamb Rogan josh, yellow lentils, aloo gobi and raita. All of it was delicious, well spiced, the portions were large, and they gave us rice for every dish. It was enough food to feed four people for two nights with leftovers. My favorite was the lentils. Great place.“

“Quite a homely experience at this place for me and my wife! We were in the vicinity and suddenly wife was craving Chicken Biryani! We searched up places near us serving Chicken Biryani and found this and we were so glad the taste buds weren’t disappointed! The spice levels were perfect and the taste was exquisite!“

“Saffron offers excellent lunch menu deals. For $10-12, you get a lunch portion meal (Chicken Tikka Masala, Lamb Saag, etc.) with rice, salad, and a daily accompaniment. Chicken Tikka Masala was delicious, but a little sweet for me. The Lamb Saag was also a little fatty, but very flavorful. Granted this was a takeout order during COVID. We typically prefer dining in to review a restaurant.“

“The food is out of this world flavorful! A must taste experience. We strolled in today after visiting a shop next door. Everything is clean and has a beautiful feel. The food from start to finish was delish. Sebastian was our server a d he was so helpful with suggestions when inquired about anything. The menus is clear and there is zero quests work. I highly recommend Lillys for a fulfilling meal. This was such a nice surprise!“

“Overall, a 10 out of 10 experience I come here with my family close to about every week. This place brings joy, fun and a little bit of culture I had into our family life. I love Indian food but I love the kind and caring atmosphere more. May Jesus bless you all 💕💐“

“I am in town from Utah, and I had three nights to eat out, explore the food scene, and try different restaurants. I’m usually really good about trying famous foods from the region when I travel.
The first night, I tried Spicy Masala not because I was really craving Indian food. In fact, the only reason, I chose Spicy Masala was because it was still open when I got into town, it was close to where I was staying, and mainly bc the Chinese place I originally wanted to go is next door but only accepts Venmo.
But yall, stumbling upon Spicy Masala ended up being one of my absolute favorite things that happened to me all trip!!!
The first night, I got the Mango Chicken. It sounded benign and safe to try as someone who likes Indian food, but is also a complete baby when it comes to spice.
It was SO GOOD. It had chunks of mango and cubed chicken with a creamy sauce that made for a PERFECT sweet and savory combo. I was ENCHANTED.
I thought about that mango chicken dish so much the next day that I went back that very same night. I got the Butter Chicken dish that time, just to change it up a little bit… it was DELICIOUS.
Tonight was my last night in Philadelphia. All day I was so convinced I wanted a Philly Cheese Steak. I had talked about it to my friends and family that “damn it, that sounds gross, but I’m gonna try it while I’m here.”
But again, all day I was just craving more Indian food🤷🏼♀️
It started POURING rain on my journey home from the Met, and I capitulated to give my stomach what it so desired. So tonight I got the Coconut Chicken.
Chicken was moist, the sauce was creamy, and that little hint of coconut… OH BOYY. This was my favorite of the three I tried. I am sitting here in bliss.
I was going to take a picture to post on this review, plus I lowkey wanted to save some for breakfast in the morning since I fly out home early, but I immediately sat down to watch my favorite TV show, told my friend she couldn’t poach any from me tonight, and then proceeded to eat whole tub. :))) I did throw in a picture of some garlic naan (a must try, I’m gonna dream about this naan tonight ya’ll it was so tasty), but I didn’t think get a picture of it fresh!
I also have to ado into this review that the boys working are an absolute hoot. The guy at the front teased me good naturedly for being back so soon, but they were all sweet and were excited that someone could love their food so much enough to come back three nights in a row. They work hustling and working hard to get all the to go orders out, but they were still really kind and took the time to chat with me. It was all extremely endearing.
Anywho, I will definitely be back one day to Philly to come to my new favorite Indian restaurant!“

“A gal pal suggested we try out the new restaurant. It was EXCELLENT. I had lamb saag. She had mango chicken? We tasted each other's food and just giggled. We had the smoothie and Indian Coke drink- both awesome. The dining room is TINY but the table settings are works of art- fancy napkin sculptures and elegant, playful silverware & dishes. The onion stuffed naan was exquisite. Our server was attentive, polite and answered our questions without hostility or offense. The spices are ON POINT. Their system of personally developing everyone's plate is outstanding. I discovered that I am a wimpy +2 while my friend is a +3. Trying both our food with the varying heat/spice ratios, I could enjoy and taste all the flavors without having my tongue burned off, lol. My ONLY complaint, which has kept me from trying them in the past, is that to order and pick-up take-out, you must use their back door which I find to be creepy and dangerous looking. So I guess I'll only go when I can eat in, using the front door, LOL. However, I was impressed when we asked for our leftovers to be packaged, our server gave each of us free complimentary fresh bismati rice to go along with our uneaten entrees. They give good portions! And the packaging is washable, reusable, recyclable plastic containers- not cheap carboard that soaks up sauces or scary unstable thin plastic that leaks or horrible styrofoam that should be outlawed. THIS RESTAURANT IS WONDERFUL!“

“We have been to the weekend buffet at Madness of Masala three times this year and that's saying a lot because we rarely go back to places that often. My wife in particular is a huge fan of the buffet and on one occasion, she even got her friends visiting from New Jersey to meet us there so that her friend and her husband - both foodies themselves - could try out the buffet.
*What's* *Great*:
1) Extensive Selection: They have a wide variety of items - both vegetarian and non-vegetarian. Something I particularly like is that the non-veg options include mutton - something few Indian buffets seem to include. I believe every time we have been there they have also had a fish item, although I have generally found that item to be an afterthought and not as worthwhile as the mutton item, which is pretty good.
2) Fresh Variety: There's enough variety so even though we have gone back on a few occasions, we have found new items to try. That keeps the place fresh.
3) Good Refill Policy: Unlike several other buffets - Indian, American, Chinese you name it - where restaurants try to keep costs manageable by simply not refilling their trays, these guys are good about refills.
4) Solid Service: Service is good. They are generally good at refilling waters or clearing out dirty plates even if one has to occasionally ask them to do those things because the few staff members there are managing several different activities at the same time, including keeping the buffet trays refilled.
5) Separate Veg/Non-Veg Tables: For anyone going in who is vegetarian, they can take some comfort in the fact that the veg and non-veg items are on separate tables. Thus there is little chance of someone using a serving spoon from the non-veg section of the buffet over to the veg section of the buffet.
*What* *Needs* *Improvement*:
1) Tiny Bathrooms: I find the two bathrooms to be extremely small. In terms of size, they would surely compete with airline bathrooms. As Indian food is generally consumed by one's hands, I definitely wash my hands before starting to eat and occasionally, I will wash my hands in between plates so that I can take my next plate of food more easily. But every time I go to the bathrooms, I have to be very watchful of the tight space I am in.
2) Spiciness of the food: The food here tends to be on the spicier side. For my wife and I who grew up in India, that is not an issue but for my daughter who's lived here her entire life, she does find most items very spicy. On our last visit when I mentioned this to one of the wait staff, he noted that the kitchen would be happy to make something for our little (6-year old) girl upon request.
3) Unclear Pricing: The first time we went there - likely around February 2025, I believe we were charged $20 per person but when we went again in April, we were charged $22 a person. I was unclear of whether the prices had increased in the two-month period (unlikely) or whether the person charging us $22 had simply made a mistake. I JUST checked as I was writing this review and in spite of looking at their webpage and their Instagram page, I still don't know exactly how much their weekend buffet is priced at. They should fix that.
4) No Knives Available: Another minor thing is that they do not have knives and that proved to be an inconvenience for our guests.
Bottom Line:
All in all, this is the best Indian buffet out there - slightly better (although a bit more expensive) than Aman's Indian Bistro in Phoenixville, the only other buffet I know of in the area. On any given weekend, when going out, Madness of Masala is always an option for us as we enjoy the wide assortment of items available.“

“Food was amazing but it was a bit pricey. I was craving some traditional halal Indian cuisine and I was hearing great things about this place so I strolled around the corner to see what the hype was about. I got the curry goat, jasmine rice and salad and I was very impressed with the quality and taste.“

“Tiffin has been our go-to for Indian delivery for years. They have good specials, the drivers are super, and they seem really to care to know how the food was. And the food is great -- Kerala Pepper is one of our faves, and their chana masala is better than everyone's.“

“My wife and I have eaten in many Indian restaurants and this was by far the best food by far! Parki g is the only nightmare as it is street city parking with meters that cover your plate rather than the spot you are in and apparently only the app works not the coin or credit card.“

“Today, July 4, was my first time dining in at Ekta. My older parents and I were looking for a place to eat (and having a tough time finding one!); finally we saw that Ekta was open, though we then discovered that it was due to close in 40 minutes. I am deeply grateful to our server, Owen, for never making us feel like we were inconveniencing the staff by arriving so close to closing, and for going out of his way to help my mom (who has limited mobility) to navigate the steps both when we arrived and when we left. He situated us at a table just next to the door, which was even more helpful. As for the food itself, my dad was delighted with his garlic kabob, and I really enjoyed the Chandrakala (first time I'd ever encountered these dried-fruit-and-coconut dumplings) and our bread selections (Lachha Paratha and Ekta Naan, the latter kind of an adaptation of the Peshawari Naan concept but with black sesame seeds included). My mom and I both guzzled our delicious lassis (mango and pomegranate). Though toned down at our request, the Alu Gobi was still a bit spicy for me, but tasty nonetheless.“

“I recently had the pleasure of dining at King of Tandoor & Biryani House, and it was a delightful culinary journey to this Indian restaurant truly lives up to its name, offering a wide array of tandoori and biryani dishes. Here's my review of the experience: Ambiance (4/5): The restaurant boasts a warm and inviting atmosphere, perfect for a cozy dinner with friends or family. The decor reflects Indian culture, with vibrant colors and tasteful artwork, creating an authentic dining environment. Service (4/5): The service was attentive and friendly, with the staff providing recommendations and accommodating special requests. Our dishes arrived promptly, and the waitstaff was knowledgeable about the menu. Food (5/5): The highlight of the evening was undoubtedly the food. We started with the Vindaloo, a spicy and tangy Goat curry. The balance of flavors was exceptional, and the tender chunks of meat (I had chicken) soaked up the rich sauce perfectly. The level of spiciness was just right, offering a pleasant kick without overpowering the other flavors. The Chicken Tandoori Mix was a showstopper. The tandoor-grilled chicken had a smoky, charred aroma and was incredibly juicy. The mix of various tandoori meats provided a delightful variety of tastes and textures. Biryani (4/5): We couldn't visit an establishment with "Biryani House" in its name without trying their biryani. We opted for the classic chicken biryani, and it didn't disappoint. Fragrant and aromatic, the rice was well-seasoned and adorned with succulent pieces of chicken. Overall Experience (4.5/5): King of Tandoor & Biryani House exceeded my expectations. The restaurant offers a great selection of Indian dishes, and the flavors were truly authentic. Whether you're a fan of spicy curries or smoky tandoori dishes, this place has something for everyone. I would highly recommend King of Tandoor & Biryani House to anyone seeking a taste of India It's a place where you can savor the rich and diverse flavors of Indian cuisine in a welcoming setting. I'll certainly be returning to try more of their tempting menu offerings in the future“

“Nice quaint place to eat in or take out. We had the place to ourselves at 5pm on a Tuesday but there was a steady flow of ppl picking up orders. Acknowledged immediately upon entering. Prices and serving portions were reasonable along with service and wait time. Had the butter chicken with classic naan. My friend frequents this location and others so opted for the chicken tikka masala with the garlic naan. No complaints with this being my first visit to this location.“

“Atmosphere is 10/10. Walls are red like chicken tikka masala. Come here on an off school day and you might see a kid chilling in the corner playing roblox at this cozy family run place. They have American palate classics like Butter Chicken and Chicken Tikka Masala. The Indian food we tried was yummy. They have different levels of spice and mango lassi on the menu for those of us with a baby mouth.
We ordered Tandoori chicken, samosa chaat, and lamb saag. Tandoori chicken takes about 25 min because they make it fresh so make sure you call in advance if you’re in a hurry. The lamb saag was good. This place uses cubes of lamb instead of bone in, making it easier to eat. Rice is complimentary to some dishes! Samosa chaat was delicious because the samosa was hot and still crunchy- you can tell they made it to order.
My main feedback is they should put on the menu which food is Nepalese because most people in the area would not know. There are far fewer Nepalese restaurants in the area compared to Indian so this would help for those looking specifically for this type of food. Makes me nostalgic for Jackson Heights momo crawl. Sadly no momos on the menu yet but maybe I can convince the owner.“

“Delicious Indian cuisine. I’ve been struggling to find a good Indian restaurant since I moved to the Philly area about 6 months ago, and I mean really struggling. Out of all of the places I’ve tried, Srinagar takes the cake!!! The Chicken Tikka Masala is incredible and is the perfect spice level for a medium. I did only get delivery via a third party service, but would certainly consider eating in next time. Will be eating here again!!!“
