“Definitely the best Pho joint in Philly. This is one of the Pho 75 mini-chain restaurants starting in DC & Northern VA area (7 corners). Solid broth, chewy noodles and loads of different cut of meats. Add-on prices are also reasonable ($2.5 for meatballs as an example). Service is just meh... but you don't come here for service....“

“My first time having their food which came highly recommended from a picky foodie, like myself! We did takeout which was fast and the young lady was extremely nice. The vegetable rice, sweet chili wings and shrimp rolls were delectable! Not one complaint! I will definitely be back!“

“Been eyeing this spot for a minute. Love the summer roll. Love the arrangement of options. Very much a place set up to be a regular at. I’m enthusiastic to return and try more than the Bahn mi $9.50 (pork is great. Eager to try the beef next), the summer roll ($7) and the creme brûlée boba ($5.50).
Great environment for a fast and affordable spot. Even the Bahn mi bread is distinct and good texture. Boba could use some work - they’re very chewy and the tea itself feels artificially thick. Will return.“

“Tiny spot that specializes in Bun Bo Hue and Banh cuon. Forget all the vietnamese spots in philly and come straight here first. The warm hospitality and smiles paired with an amazing broth and rice noodles will not disappoint. Remember to tone down the spice to mild for broth and bring cash.“

“This place always slaps! Exceptional service with consistently fresh, delicious, and rich flavors. We've had almost everything on the menu so far with no notes. My partner and I are currently very much enjoying the special beef pho, the tofu bahn mi, and the lemongrass pork vermicelli 🤌 10/10“

My guests liked the shrimp tapioca wrapped in banana leaves. Spring rolls was very stuffed with lots of meat . Highly recommend this place!“

“I recently had the pleasure of dining at Maison Lotus, and it was an unforgettable experience! The food was absolutely amazing, featuring a diverse array of Vietnamese dishes that showcased authentic flavors with a modern twist. Each dish was a delightful journey that left my taste buds wanting more. The charm of the restaurant is evident from the moment you step inside. The well-curated space creates a warm and inviting atmosphere, and the bar area is simply spectacular. The unique themed décor, particularly the stunning wallpapers, masterfully complements the storytelling aspect of the dining experience. It adds a silent yet powerful narrative that enhances the entire ambiance. The prices were perfect for the quality and creativity of the food, and the portion sizes were generous, ensuring no one leaves hungry! Hats off to the team at Maison Lotus for creating such a wonderful dining destination. I can't wait to return and explore more of their menu!“

“My favorite Vietnamese restaurant currently because there are so many good options here. Bún bò is a must try. It smells really good and the broth is very well-seasoned. The taste is very different from the bbh at other places. Another must try is bún mắm. Although they only have cabbage and lettuce and not the typical veggie that comes with bún mắm, it is still very good. You get roasted pork, fish, shrimp, and squid. Mì vịt tiềm and hủ tiếu khô are also delicious. The meat in bún chả is tender and well seasoned, but the noodle is not that good, a bit overcooked. Also the bowl is really small so it is hard to eat. Although it is called phở cyclo, but phở here is meh. The wait time can sometimes be long and it's a pretty small place.“

“We went here for lunch. I ordered the lunch special which comes with two small banh mi, pho, and a drink. My husband the bun thit nuong dish. I had beef pho and ginger beer. The flavors were very good and authentic. The banh mi bread itself was crunchy and airy, very reminiscentnt of breads found in Vietnam. The banh mi spread was a bit spicy (surprisingly) when I shared it with my toddler. Overall, good Vietnamese food for a bar lounge.“

“Viet Bistro 2 has *the best* vegetarian/vegan pho in the city—hands down! As someone who’s been vegan for years, I can’t begin to explain how rare it is to find a Vietnamese restaurant that serves truly vegan pho (not just veggies tossed into a beef broth). Viet Bistro 2 makes their vegetable broth from scratch, and it is SO flavorful!
Just the other week, I was dealing with significant GI upset. None of the over-the-counter or prescription meds I tried made a difference. But one warm, comforting bowl of their Vegetarian Pho? Total game-changer. It soothed my stomach, and I was finally able to get a good night’s rest.
My partner ordered the steak and beef pho and loved it just as much. I can also vouch for their tofu rolls! So whether you're vegan, vegetarian, or a meat-eater, Viet Bistro 2 has something delicious for you.
If you’re in Philly and haven’t made it to Viet Bistro 2 yet go try their pho! You won’t be disappointed!“

“This spot absolutely rules. They have the best tofu bahn mi in South Philly (spongy on the inside and crispy on the outside). Authentic as you can get and they’re very kind and quick with service. Tiny inside if you plan to sit in but they do have tables and do take out. Highly recommend!“

“This is currently the only Vietnamese spot in the mall, located upstairs by the food court. It’s a canteen style setup—you order at the counter and help yourself to condiments at the self serve station, so don’t wait for a server. They’ll give you a number and you’ll pick up your food when it’s ready. I tried the Short Ribs Deluxe Pho and the Banh Mi, both were pretty good, and the short rib portion was huge, I even had to take some home.“

“First time here (2/22/25) and it was great. I had beef Pho and my wife had shrimp and chicken fried rice. Both were fantastic. Her fried rice was one of the best I’ve had in a really long time. I’ll def be back for that. The pho broth was great. The only thing different here than other places I’ve had Pho was that they didn’t give me mint with the jalapeño and bean sprouts. The service was a little slow as they were pretty busy but the owner was very apologetic. Almost too much but it was greatly appreciated because normally you don’t get that type of treatment. Even though the food came out slow he was top notch with keeping my water filled which is my primary must when it comes to restaurant service. And although it was just him working the front of the house he was serving everybody so attentively. And I think his wife was the only person in the back of the house. They did a wonderful job. Also that gave s a small salad that was quite tasty. I don’t know what kind of dressing it was but it was pretty darn good. Oh and we had the veggie spring rolls and chicken kabobs, both also good.“

“Just had the best banh mi sandwich of my life! Bread was warm and flaky, filling was spicy but not overwhelming, everything was fresh, and it came out in the time it took me to go wash my hands—all for under $6! I stumbled on this place with no expectations, but cannot WAIT to eat here again.“

“This food is some of the best food in Philly. Arguably the best and most authentic Vietnamese food in the whole city. My boyfriend and I have been eating here for years, and the food is consistent in always being delicious, fresh, and full of flavor. The menu is small, focused, and the drinks are always amazing and pair well with the food.
The owner and chefs are always so friendly, welcoming, and take pride in their food.
We can tell that they season and grill all of their food fresh.
Seriously- this place is the top Banh Mi in the city.“

“seems like a family owned restaurant! I’ve never had chicken pho before so I wasn’t sure what to expect, but the broth was fairly similar to beef pho but cleaner. Their pho bowls are one size only, but it is very large. We got two bowls of plain pho with 1/2 chicken the first time we went, and our total was about $40-$50. 1/2 chicken was definitely a lot for two people, so we ended up getting 1/4 chicken today (total of $27) and it was the perfect portion. They serve cold tea, which was very nice and refreshing. Parking is difficult to find on weekends, but the lot is generally empty on weekdays.“

“Been going here since I can't even remember, when I think of a traditional Vietnamese restaurant Nam Phuong will forever be my first thought. Over the years their quality has not changed and the atmosphere is a hidden gem next to competitors like Pho Today whose menu are tiny compared to Nam Phuong's authentic selection of Viet foods, dishes like Banh Coun, Bun Rieu, and Hu Tieu Xao Bo are some of my personal favorites straying away from the ones all Viet restaurants have like Pho and Bun Bo Hue. Highly recommend them for a fun family night or lunch with a friend.“

“I've tried countless pho places and I only go to one spot I like. Welp, I found a new favorite now. Amazing food, the concentration of flavor, the depth, amazing, mind blown. Not just pho even the sides and drinks. I can tell the owners really do care. A fan of the cozy cute vintage design interior too. They were busy especially with the take outs on my tuesday visit.“

“The Pho was delicious 😋 the portions are huge - we struggled to finish our meal. Service was nice... A bit slow but I guess they were full and busy that day! It's a smallish place and a bit crowded to sit but that's how most delicious Pho places are! Would definitely go back.
There is a paid parking lot just next to this place so parking was relatively easy.“

“I’ve walked by this spot so many times, and it seemed every time I was hungry they were closed (closed on weekends) but today I finally stepped in. I ordered 2 bánh mìs and a Vietnamese coffee. Pete, the owner/operator of the spot was the only one there and we instantly jumped into great conversation about the music scene in Philly back in the late 90s. We ended up knowing a lot of the same people. Philly is a tight knit group. So even before eating the food I was already a fan of this spot. Pete served me his special take on Vietnamese coffee while we talked and he made the sandwiches. The iced coffee was excellent, but different and less sweet than Vietnamese coffee I’ve had in the past. He also used ice cubes made of coffee which was an added bonus for a coffee junkie like myself. After we talked for nearly 20 min, I walked home with my sandwich and WOW! Such a solid bánh mì! I told him to make it like he would make it for himself (spicy) and he knocked it out of the park. I’ll be back and I’ll be bringing all my music friends here when they are in the neighborhood. I highly encourage Olde City residents as well as Philly locals to give this place a try!“
“My bf is from vietnam and when he misses good home food, we come here!! We’ve tried a good amount of dishes but the ones we recommend are: Banh Canh soup noodle, Mi Quang, Banh Tam Bi, and the Banh Mi with Cha siu. All are very solid choices. The food is authentic, and prices are reasonable. Also the owner is super friendly we love it here.TDLR: It feels like your Asian mom or dad made you a delicious home cooked meal. Would recommend.“
“We always come for the hoagie and coffee, grab and go. Don't be fooled by the lackluster neighborhood and surrounding area, Vinh Long Cafe is an amazing Vietnamese cafe and restaurant that is surely overlooked and underrated. It is a secret gem in South Philly. The Vietnamese iced coffee is made perfectly and the Vietnamese hoagie is unbelievably fresh and authentic. One reason it doesn't get the visits and accolades it deserves is probably due to its environment. Often the cafe seems to be filled with only local friends or family just hanging out. Sometimes the place is completely empty and they play traditional news or music. It doesn't seem too welcoming to those who don't speak the language, but don't be intimidated as this is just the traditional ways of the people there. Just walk up to the owner - who is always at counter - and ask for a Vietnamese hoagie and coffee. They make the hoagie on order right there in front of you. It's fresh and as authentic as it gets. Eat there or take it to go. It's worth the try.“

“So I Typically order the tofu hoagie from Tais which is amazing and I've gotten many friends hooked on it, but I thought that I should try their tofu veggie pho and see how I like it.First of all, it was arguably the best noodle soup I have ever had. Full of tofu, cabbage, bell pepper, onion, and broccoli, as well as the add on sauces, lemon, and Thai basil, it was super filling and made me wish I had more. The broth is light but flavorful and the Thai basil had a bit of an anise and minty flavor go it, but when I added the tomato sauce/base to the soup, the Thai basil became spicy almost. So this dish is one that will fill you up and repeatedly change flavors10/10 recommend“

“Came here after a concert around 10:30pm. One of the very few pho spots open on. Tuesday night. The place is SUPER small. There’s only about 4-6 tables in there if that. Prompt and extremely friendly service by the owner who affectionately calls himself “Uncle Sam”. The biggest con I have which I docked a star was the $15 pp minimum. It was only me and my teenage son and I wanted pho before driving 2 hrs back to DE, he ate at the concert and was tired and not hungry. We were forced with the rule and ultimately paid $15 for 6 chicken wings. Yes they were good, but I don’t like a forced minimum for a casual restaurant like this. Nonetheless, the pho was amazing!! Some of the best I had. But they serve it in a large bowl and only fill it up halfway. 95% of the pho I eat with similar price point, I get way more and I can’t even finish the bowl. Side condiments were fresh. Table condiments could’ve been more fresh/clean but it’s Philly, it was late, and I didn’t expect Michelin service. Uncle Sam is a gem and so sweet. Although the food was good, I don’t think I’d return based off of portion size. Again, be mindful of the $15 minimum in case you bring children or someone who didn’t plan on eating much. There’s 20% gratuity for large parties although idk where you’d sit. Btw the “super hot” sticker is not lying. I love chili sauce in my pho, this one looked sketch so I only put a dab in and boy I was on fire, sniffling and all. Beware!“
