“The atmosphere is quaint. I knocked off one-star because there was a very noisy event going on in another room. They had extremely loud rock music blasting. That made it difficult to have a conversation with your table mates. The service was good. The waitress was attentive but not intrusive However, the vegetarian offering were sparse on the menu. There was only one vegetarian main dish offered. It was acceptable, but not satisfying. It was more like an appetizer than a meal. The crème brûlée was excellent. Light and tasty with a very thin caramelized crust on top.“

“We’ve been to a lot of restaurant happy hours, and unfortunately many of them feel more like a marketing gimmick than a good value. Capital Grille completely changed our expectations. The happy hour menu offered excellent quality at very reasonable prices, and everything we tried was outstanding. The lamb chops were absolutely phenomenal—perfectly cooked and packed with flavor—and the steak was just as impressive. Drinks wise we tried their dirty martini with blue cheese olives (delicious olives), peach bourbon smash (very tasty, could be dangerous as they’re so easy to drink), and margarita (real lime juice not the gross sour mix that gives you instant heartburn).
A big thank you to our waitress, Kate Wiser, who made the experience even better. She was incredibly friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable. She took the time to explain the summer wine flight special, checked on us often without being intrusive, and even made sure we got our happy hour order in before the cutoff time. That level of service really stood out. Between the exceptional food, great value, and outstanding hospitality, this was one of the best happy hour experiences we’ve had. We’ll definitely be back!“

“Such a stunning restaurant! We had dinner at Oldestone this evening and everything was wonderful. Really great service and amazing steaks. If you want something show stopping, try the Grande Plateau or Porterhouse Board. Both were fantastic.“
