Recently, I’ve experienced a shift in service that left me feeling uncomfortable and dismissed. What once felt warm and inviting has become cold and unprofessional through eye-rolling, dismissive responses, and careless service. Respect should never depend on how often someone visits, who they are, or what they look like — professionalism is the standard, not the exception. As patrons, we notice the small things — tone, body language, and how we are treated when we walk through the door. Establishments should remember that every guest is observing, every interaction matters, and every moment reflects the character of the business. My hope is simple: that businesses remain mindful of how staff attitudes shape the entire experience. “My Wife and I have always wanted to try this place. Now....it's our favorite place. We just came from there for our Valentine's dinner and once again we was not disappointed. “Our first time at Acclamation brewing and we will definitely be back (especially since we didn't try out the kayaks at 10.7 marina nextdoor yet!). The vibe is amazing! Right along the river with live music out back and lots of board games to play if you have extra time 😁 the food was phenomenal! Highly recommend the ravioli and the kielbasa special. Lots of variety of beer both made in house as well as local visiting taps and variety of local non beer options also! If you are in the East end of Pittsburgh this place is a must try! “We stopped for dinner here after a lacrosse game at Fox Chapel . And OMG, I am so glad we did! I had the best burger I think I've ever had. Hubby and son has the brisket, which was also amazing! “Among my favorite breweries in Pittsburgh, and a great addition to the growing brew-culture in Verona / Oakmont area. They are unafraid to experiment with bold, delicious, and unique flavor profiles (I'm looking at you, Sichuan Peppercorn Rice Lager), but have all the staples across the spectrum of types of beer.

“Great Food and Atmosphere, Some Service Concerns I recently moved to the Braddock Hills area and was excited to revisit this spot, which used to be Folie’s a few years back. The food here is absolutely delicious, and it’s the perfect place to grab a bite, enjoy a margarita, and relax. That said, I’ve had a few experiences with a particular staff member that were concerning. While most of the team has been friendly and welcoming, However, barmaid (JESS who served me February the 7th around 1:49 p.m.) has been noticeably short and dismissive on a couple of occasions. For example, there were times when she rolled her eyes or responded curtly when I greeted her, even though previous visits had been pleasant. I even had an instance where my drink was placed at the very edge of the bar in a way that felt intentionally difficult. I did call to bring this to the manager’s attention to address it, no and she allegedly answered the phone as the manager, and to my experience the manager is a gentleman as well as the owner. I wanted to share it here as well. I’ve spoken with other patrons who’ve noted that her personality can sometimes affect the overall experience. While I understand everyone can have an off day, consistent professionalism and courtesy are essential in customer service, especially in a neighborhood gem like this one. Overall, I truly enjoy this restaurant—the food, ambiance, and most of the staff make it a wonderful place. “First time visiting this brewery as we are always looking to explore places we haven't been to yet.
We saw Pittsburgh Smokehouse food truck was running a bacon and brisket special so that secured the deal for food and beverages.
Squatch is just 10 minutes or so from the heart of Monroeville located in an Industrial park.

The building itself was nice and we grabbed a seat at the bar upon arrival. There was also some additional covered seating outside of the garage door.

We sampled all of the beers and everything was very solid.

“This brewery has proven to be a great addition to the community. It’s a dog-friendly beer stop that also has a nice rotation of food truck visitors. They have great drinks in a great atmosphere.

“THE BEST that you can find outside of queens/ Bk! Been coming here for over a yr now & hands down the best! The food is very fresh, flavors are bomb, drinks are authentic! Oxtail, goat, chicken, rice, veggies -all tender & flavorful! You can let them know the spice level. Depending on the time of day, there will be a long wait to pick up. They suggest to order from a food delivery app but me personally I prefer to call the restaurant & speak, that way I can specify what I want/dont want. I’ve been there waiting for 30mins couple times despite calling & orderin& also seen customers come via uber to wait for an hr to order at restaurant to go. ITS THAT GOOD! No lie this place is bomb! “Pub 333 in Oakmont is hands down my top choice when it comes to vegetarian pizza. Since I don’t eat meat, I’m always looking for places that still bring full flavor, and they nailed it. The crust is perfect, the toppings are fresh, and the balance of flavors makes it one of the best veggie pizzas I’ve had. It’s not just the food, either. The atmosphere is welcoming, the staff is friendly and attentive, and the overall vibe makes you want to stay and enjoy yourself. “Super cute little coffee shop right on main drag in Regent Square. If you like the taste of coffee/espresso this is a great place to get a drink. My husband loves coffee/espresso so really liked his caramel latte as is. I like my lattes a little sweeter so it was great they had simple syrup on their sugar bar that I could add to my latte. “Cold Stone is my favorite ice cream shop of all time. It has this amazing concept that you can mix in anything you want into your ice cream. They have many different types of ice cream and they always give you way more ice cream then you pay for. The service is great and they are very patient when you are picking your flavor and toppings.
