“Discovered this locally owened business and highly recommend! Ordered beef brisket and pulled pork; there were two sauce choice, BBQ and mustard, recommend the mustard. Both entrees were smoky, tender, and flavorful. The pork had a nice bark on it. The collard greens were delightfully spicy and the brussel sprouts were crisp with a surprising vinegar dressing. Acoustic guitar from 7pm to 9pm was awesome, as was the beer list...a dozen beers on draft.Highly recommend and will return!“
“Came here after receiving a gift card a few months ago and loved it so much decided to return for a special occasion, once again DiAnoia’s did not disappoint. The menu had different items this time around, but we could not be happier with our selections. The drinks/food came out at the perfect time, our fried mozzarella and pasta dishes were still steaming when brought to the table, the entire staff including our waitress were all extremely friendly and accommodating even with a packed house. Can’t recommend DiAnoia’s enough!“

“I've always been a fan of Grist House brewing. They have some good barrel aged stouts when they put them out. Also the IPA's are pretty solid. They seem to have a ton of sours as well which people love. I like them, but they don't like me (sours that is). Great outdoor space. I however at times get annoyed with some of the enormous dogs people bring. I have no issue with dogs, let me say that, but people sometimes bring massive dogs and are clueless to the fact that they are blocking doorways and things. It's also a Penn State brewery which is cool. They have firefest every year and that is a great time. Food trucks daily. Parking sucks, all street parking.“

It's a very convenient walk from the Pitt Public Health building.My go-to is the Aloha Classic because I wouldn't change anything about it, but there is also a build-your-own-bowl sheet. The fish is incredibly fresh and the minced spicy tuna exceeds any other poke restaurant I've been to. The other vegetarian ingredients like avocado, onions, and seaweed salad are also incredibly fresh! Every order comes with Miso soup which is especially welcome during the colder weather. All in all, for the portion size and quality you're getting, $15 is a great deal.I also occasionally order the mango milk tea. It's very tasty and is still sweet even at 0% or 30% sweetness. The service is very fast and friendly. 5/5 highly recommend this place to any raw fish lovers!“

“7/10! Ive been here 2 different times and each time the customer service was so so. They did not seem interested in helping you/giving suggestions and just weren’t as friendly as I would expect a local coffee shop to be? I think they are in the process of remodeling so the inside of the shop is mostly blocked off from use except for 2 tables. The first time I was there they had the old bank vault open with the lights on (really cool), but the second time I was there it was all shut off (pretty bummed as I was trying to show someone new the coffee shop).I’ve had a couple different lattes and all were pretty good. Nothing extraordinary. Their sausage egg and cheese breakfast rolls are AMAZING and I would come back just to eat these every day lol“
“I sometimes have a hard time finding this little neighborhood bar. It's a gem. I feel like it's kind of like a phantom bar that phases in and out of existence, like something out of Brigadoon. It defines the word 'cozy'. The food went from reheated pizza to (now) very respectable bar food. It's always chill here, and the prices are right. Bar staff are consistently friendly.It's good that this place is hard to find. It's for locals, and people that know how to behave in bars. If you can't respect that, you shouldn't go.“

“My 4-year-old sums it up best, "Mama, how can such a little place have so many yummy things?"I follow them on Facebook, where they post the special drinks for the month. I order from that menu almost exclusively because when you're going to BeanThru, it's to treat yo' self.The chillers are good, the lattes are good, the cookies are good, and the breakfast sandwiches satisfy. The waitresses and the owner all introduced themselves to me and asked my name. From that point on, they treated me like we had been friends for years. I had only wanted to try this place because I have heard the live music is great and the atmosphere is better, but when I got there, I was a bit hungry. I took a look at the menu and didn't see anything I would like but because they were so nice to me, I thought I would try the Italian hoagie. BEST DECISION EVER. I mean wow I can't stop thinking about how good it was. While I was waiting for my food to be made, I was looking at some of their upcoming events. They have an event called "Dingus Day" coming up and I wanted to know more. The owner came out and sat down next to me and started looking for videos on their tv. He found a clip of Anderson Cooper making fun of this dingus day and that's why he likes celebrating it. We walked YouTube videos for 15 minutes til my food was ready. I've never laughed or had so much fun with complete strangers in my life. I can't wait to go back and hang out with the people who made me feel like family from the second I walked in.“

We had a hot latte with brown sugar and cinnamon, an ice chai latte, a blueberry muffin (really big and delicious), and a apple hand pie (and they warmed it for me!) Everything was delicious! The staff is so nice and helpful, and the atmosphere inside is very relaxing. They also have a chocolate shop in the back! Parking is on the street, but we had no trouble finding parking right outside. Definitely worth a trip to Tarentum to check this out! “Great restaurant located the Shadyside neighborhood of Pittsburgh PA. If you like Thai food with great noodles then this is the place for you. I had the Kee Mao- big flat rice noodles, bok choy, napa cabbage, basil with chili garlic sauce and it was great. You have the option of your spice level ranging from 0-5 with 0 being not hot at all to 5 being crazy hot!! This seems to be very popular place for the younger college aged crowd. The only downside to this place is the parking. We went on a Sunday so we were able to find a place along the street about a block away (meter parking). I can imagine it would be more difficult to find parking during more busy hours. They also only accept cash so keep that in mind. Other than that I would highly recommend giving this place a try.“

I wish I remembered his name to give a shout-out because I like to give credit where credit is due ?I ordered a full meal here - I will say the clam chowder was ok...not bad but nothing spectacular but I'm still giving 5 stars for everything else I stated above and the rest of the food I ordered. I also got shrimp wontons, which I wish I took a picture cause they were unique and texture was on point and flavor, especially the sauce was great. My main course was there cottage pie, their spin off shepherds pie but with a super flavorful gravy and shaved ribeye with mashed potatoes on top. Everyone at the table wanted it as soon as it arrived and it was awesome! “This is by far my favorite ice creamery around. They are a tad more expensive but so so so worth it. Even when uber delivered for them they pack the ice cream with such care making sure in case the driver has other stops your ice cream does not melt they put ice bags with it. We were pleasantly surprised to see they changed it around a bit from the previous layout, and they added some nice touches. They always have a nice line up of styles, and their flagship beer is on tap. There is a beer garden around the back of the building that is not connected that provides additional space when the weather is nice. Four packs available on site to go. No food on site, but there is a food truck sometimes.“

But the space makes up for it and some of the beer was very good. I definitely look forward to returning. It seems to me that there's a lot of weird class resentment in Pittsburgh. You can be a bar owner but feel somehow threatened by someone who speaks in an educated manner, even if you're economically far less off.“
“Paid a brief visit. Great study space, solid espresso. Paid 27$ for a 12oz bag of Kenyan coffee. While at this price it is not quiet competing with, say, Sey, I would still prefer to see price breakdown on the bag and, well, an airtight seal. SO coffees seem to lean towards medium-light, the bag I got with "cherry coke" as the first promised taste note indeed had caramel first and acidity second in my brews.“

They spun my vinyl records, played a movie that went along with the theme of my party and created a signature cocktail for my guests.
