“We love this place. We live in Philly, but just stumbled on it one day. Maybe it’s the owner, but a visit there feels like a special occasion . The appetizer of pita with a variety of dips is incredible, and filling. Next to come are dishes of souvlaki, falafel, lamb brochettes, vegetables, rice and salad. They are known for outstanding baklava (even for those who think they don’t like baklava), AND chocolate mousse. We have brought relatives and friends here from Washington, D.C. and Harrisburg, and all were thrilled .“

“Hoagie Hut is one of those rare spots that just gets everything right. The sandwiches are amazing and the customer service is even better. The owners make you feel welcome the second you walk in, and I appreciate that because you can tell they really love what they do.

The food is always great and the whole experience makes you want to come back again and again. My only wish is that they were open more during dinner hours because I’d definitely be there more often. This place is a gem and I can’t recommend it enough.“

“First time here (2/22/25) and it was great. I had beef Pho and my wife had shrimp and chicken fried rice. Both were fantastic. Her fried rice was one of the best I’ve had in a really long time. I’ll def be back for that. The pho broth was great. The only thing different here than other places I’ve had Pho was that they didn’t give me mint with the jalapeño and bean sprouts. The service was a little slow as they were pretty busy but the owner was very apologetic. Almost too much but it was greatly appreciated because normally you don’t get that type of treatment. Even though the food came out slow he was top notch with keeping my water filled which is my primary must when it comes to restaurant service. And although it was just him working the front of the house he was serving everybody so attentively. And I think his wife was the only person in the back of the house. They did a wonderful job. Also that gave s a small salad that was quite tasty. I don’t know what kind of dressing it was but it was pretty darn good. Oh and we had the veggie spring rolls and chicken kabobs, both also good.“

“The variety of food and service at Poke It Up was very good. Honestly wish I'd tried it sooner! There are different varieties of poke bowls to select from or you can make your own. The fish was very fresh and came with a healthy portion of rice. The veggies and sauce complimented the meal and the serving size (for me) was quite large so easily came for two meals. The food is delicious and authentic Dominican, service is friendly, price is reasonable. We ordered our 2020 Christmas dinner and it was all we expected, arroz con gandules to die for, the pernil excellent as usual, sweet plantains perfectly fried.
