“I had a good visit to Momoyama. Been craving some ramen and have been hearing a lot about this place so figured I'd check it out. It's a newer restaurant so it's nice and clean...has that "new" feel. The waitress was friendly and explained some things we had questions about. We ordered the Spicy Curry Ramen with boiled chicken and Chicken Katsu on the side and the Mini Combo with BBQ Chicken. The Chicken Katsu was lightly breaded and fried. I liked that it didn't taste greasy and wasn't fried too hard. The Spicy Chicken Ramen was tasty and the portion size is really big. The BBQ chicken was my favorite. It had a nice char, grill flavor and the chicken was juicy. I'd definitely get the full portion the next time I visit.“
“Found amidst other small businesses and shops in the heart of Bryn Mawr, Yamazaki Ramen might just be the cozy culinary hideaway your taste buds need. It's a modest space, sure, but what it lacks in grandeur, it compensates with a soul-warming embrace, a friendly nod, and bowls of ramen that could easily steal the show in any food lover's heart. Now, let's talk about the star of our gastronomic journey--the Yamazaki Special ramen. This bowl is more than just a meal; it's a warm embrace on a cold day, a melody of flavors that sings a harmonious ode to traditional Tonkotsu ramen. With its rich pork-bone soup, tender roast pork, and an ensemble of bamboo shoots, kikurage mushrooms, red ginger, scallions, and a perfectly poached egg, it's a dish that doesn't just satisfy hunger; it nourishes the soul.Alongside this noodle nirvana, we ventured into the realm of the Gyudon Rice Bowl. Here, we found a comforting assembly of sliced beef, onions, and pickled ginger atop a bed of rice, all gently hugged by a sweet dashi sauce. The seasoned boiled egg added a nice touch, though the dish played more of a supporting role to the show-stopping ramen. It's still a solid choice for those craving a bit of variety, offering a satisfying culinary experience.Yamazaki Ramen stands as a testament to the joys of simple, heartfelt cooking. In this unassuming spot, you'll find dishes crafted with care, flavors that linger long after the last bite, and a reminder of the quiet power of a well-made bowl of ramen. So, if find yourself in Bryn Mawr and in search of a quick & tasty bite, Yamazaki Ramen checks all of the boxes.“
“THIS PLACE IS JUST AMAZING. Dropped by and have to say the service and food was extraordinary. We tried the shrimp tempura Ramen and Truffle Mushroom Ramen both were exquisite. Being from out of state, truly enjoyed the experience here.. A must visit if you ever come to Manayunk.“
“Took my daughter here for a lunch date. Overall the food was good. We both agreed that the gyoza was the best part of the meal. I had teriyaki salmon and she had beef ramen which were both good. The service was great and we didn’t have to wait long for our food.“
“Very happy with our dinner visit! Food was very yummy, especially the chicken karagee ?!! The ambiance was very nice too — we were particularly please that the music wasn’t super loud (to the point where we need to scream to talk to each other)! Service was great as well! Will definitely come back ?!“
“So happy i found this place and finally tried it. Fairly new and luckily 5 min drive from me. Chill vibes inside. Food was on point! I came towards the night my first time with my bf. wish I got my server's name but she was very attentive and encouraged me to try things in my dish i kept avoiding lol. We got gyoza which is made with chicken (big plus I avoid pork) spicy tuna roll, salmon teriyaki and the Gyu Don. Had to come again the same week. This time ordered the Fuki Spicy Miso Pork Ramen and replaced it with beef. Same server w/ a younger man, still a great time.“
“Small place but the food was great. Had the karage and takoyaki appetizers which were both on point. Also the Rakuichi fries which was delicious. Then did a custom ramen bowl which also turned out quite tasty. Generous portions especially the char sui pork.“
“You can tell it is more a grab and go type of place for the college folks but our dine-in experience was great nonetheless! Staff was so kind, attentive, and food came quickly. Sushi was amazing and amazing, I enjoyed my miso soup, and my husband and I shared some edamame.Definitely would recommend for anyone looking for some sushi in the neighborhood! Mango Tango and Holiday rolls were my favorites!“
“Perfect pairing of quantity and quality. I was so good! How can you go wrong with an amazing dinner for under $15?! I had the hibachi chicken and steak. Steak was cooked to order (med. well). Chicken and fried rice was really good as well. This place is on my way home from work. I will be back… often.“
“A new sushi place that has spectacular sushi rolls, highly recommend trying it! All the food is delicious, the food is authentic and the prices are fair. I recommend ordering one specialty roll and one normal roll of sushi, as I think that’s where they truly excel, however the ramen is also top quality, and has many choices to try.“
“This area was a quick stop on a bus ride home last night. It looked cozy so I popped inside and asked the server if there’s anything I could get in 10 mins since I had a bus to catch. He was very helpful and my food was ready in less than 10 mins. I got the chicken dumplings and avocado roll and both were delicious. I will definitely be back to actually sit down next time. The entire restaurant smelled amazing.“
“I’d heard about Ronin from a previous manager who would order their sushi and it always looked good. I was in the mood for Ramen and they came up in my search. It was a small shop, nicely decorated. Most people came for take out, there was a couple dining in when I arrived so it was nice and quiet. The food service was quick, everything we ordered was delicious and flavorful. My bf ordered the shrimp and veggie tempura bento box, and a chicken katsu bao special. I ordered the Crazy Boy roll special and Shimp Tom Yum ramen. Highly recommend this place if you’re in the area.“
