“Great place but they don't let me drink here anymore cause last time I was here I drank away all my money and resorted to licking the last few drops from people's empty mugs after they left. Bartender said I was the 2nd worst Alcoholic they've ever seen there.“

“I am very pleased with my experience here. I went with a group of 5 and ordered sample tasting, so we got to try a lot of different options they have. They have standard and an upgraded option (for just $10/person); it is well worth it to pay for the upgrade. I liked most of it. But what was exceptional is the liver goose, the duck scrapple, the wagyu and the sea bass. They do a nice show (at the bar) with some of their drinks as well. In this video I recorded them making my double knot Manhattan. They fire some cinnamon and fill your cup first with the smoke. It actually gives it a nice taste.“
“We plan trips to Philadelphia just to visit this amazing bar. We can’t oversell this…absolutely the best cocktails we have ever had. There are strict house rules for a reason and we appreciate that. Always a wonderful evening at Hop Sings. Leave your phones at home and enjoy the atmosphere and fine crafted drinks.“

“Tapas doesn’t meet my expectations. The only memorable tapas was the grilled chicken. Paella was okay. There were a generous portion of seafood and poultry on the paella but there wasn’t a crunchy bottom. And the dish was a bit on the salty side even for a Chinese myself.“

“This was a place we stumbled on by accident, waiting for a concert at Union transfer. Small little place but the food was unique and really good! Service was a little lacking but it was a busy Saturday night. Seems to be a popular spot! Highly recommend if you're in the area!“

“A must try hidden gem in the neighborhood. Unique Belgian beers and stouts. Must try the Hercule Stout if you have beef of any kind. Don't underestimate the vegan seitan sandwich. Packed with umami flavor and very satisfying. Wife had the Steak Frites salade and really enjoyed it. Dessert was the lime pie - very tart and very good.“

“Visited for lunch on a sunny Sunday. Solid wine and beer list and fantastic food! The only downside was that there is limited seating and we were near the windows. The sun was streaming in and there was no window shade. Not only were we warm, we ate the whole meal with the sun in our eyes! I’m hoping they fix this issue bc it’s an easy fix and the food was truly delicious“

“Great spot for a cheap burger that is good quality. A bit under-seasoned but you get salt pepper to add. Very reminiscent of home style / back yard barbecue burgers. Hard to not have some bias for how affordable it is at 6 bucks but I don’t think it’s a burger that trumps other bar burgers flavor wise. Fries are good especially soaked in malt vinegar. Don’t really get the appeal of going after sun down when it’s pitch black inside though. Makes it super awkward when people go to the bathroom and this blaring light suddenly appears in the corner of your eye or if you go and come out from a piss to see the whole bar squinting at you because you’re a visual disturbance“

“Great live storytelling event! Intimate space. Drinks were good. Try out the duck cheesesteak. It was delicious! Definitely an elevated cheesesteak. Duck was very tender. It came with fries they were ok. No salt and some were way too soft. I like a little crunch on the outside.“

“The honey soy garlic Korean fried Chicken was some of the best I have ever had, if not the best. The Banchan was very good. The Pickled Chayote and Radish (Mu) were the stars for me. The Kimchi was good, but a little too spicy for me (I should've put in on the grill and cooked it a bit). The corn-cheese sausage as amazing. The Brisket was amazing. Pork belly was very good too, but I wish they had some Shiso or Red Leaf, so I could make a ssam. The ssamjang was very doenjang forward. Not sure if they have more than one type, but I prefer mine with more gochujang. Overall, Pocha Street is a must try.“

“Absolutely thrilled with my recent visit to South Philadelphia Tap Room! The highlight of my meal was, without a doubt, their Tomato Soup and Grilled Cheese Sandwich. The soup was a perfect blend of tangy and creamy, with just the right amount of seasoning to elevate the fresh tomato flavor. Paired with a golden, crispy Grilled Cheese that was oozing with melty cheese goodness, it was comfort food at its finest. The cozy ambiance and friendly staff only added to the exceptional dining experience. A must-visit spot for anyone craving a classic with a gourmet twist!“
“I just joined Five Iron Fishtown and I love it. The location is great and I love the vibes of the inside. The hours are perfect as I generally go to use the simulators before work in the morning and work on my swing or play a round. I’ve also had a few lessons with Senior Golf Pro Matt Davis and I can already tell my swing has gotten better. With the technology they have and following Matt’s direction I feel like I’ll be performing a lot better once I get on an actual course. Highly recommend.“

“I was in Philly with my boss and a colleague for an industry event. They were asking for a place to go for a bite and a beer. I asked my daughter who is local for some recommendations and she recommended Good Dog Bar. There are many great restaurants in the center city area, but this one does a great job. At 6:30 on a Monday, the place was quite busy. We were able to get a booth. I didn't see any tables for large groups downstairs. Most of the bar area and tables were full when we started ordering. The beer selection is diverse and prices are reasonable. For my main dish, I had to try to vegan Philly Cheesesteak. You might say that this is quite blasphemous being in Philly and doing vegan. I'm not sure how they did it, but it was very tasty. They also have some awesome fries with it. As far as parking, find a lot or garage or it's better to use mass trans or bike.“
“Outstandingly crafted beer, good prices, laid back atmosphere that's great for visiting solo or for couples, families, or big groups. Staff are friendly and helpful. They have free WiFi and board games too! We especially loved the Polish-style beer (unique and delicious!), the Belgian Double, and their Hazy IPA. Yum, can't wait to return to try more from the draft beer list plus their draft cocktails and mead (honey wine).“

“This was a great little spot to spend an hour before our dinner reservation. There is both a small bar with beers on tap and coolers with a wide variety of beers, both craft and the regular stuff which my husband was very pleased with. You can just grab what you need and chill. I had a really delicious strawberry NA beer suggested by the staff, really the best NA beer I have ever had. Most of all this is just a fun, relaxing easygoing stop. We had tired feet after several hours of sightseeing and this felt perfect.“

“Came in to watch the game and was surprised by the food and service. Lo my bartender was very patient and courteous throughout. I had the dry rub ranch wings OMG! Crunchy and seasoned on the outside and juicy on the inside. Great dipping sauce as well which added to the layers of flavor. My burger was the Swiss with bacon and a variety of mouth watery inclusions. Smash burger seasoned just right. I tried the love hazy IPA and it paired wonderfully. I'd definitely recommend and will return and try other items. Thanks Lou!Oh get the fries for sure!“

“Great food, however, the bar tender, Tom, is a real prick. Rude, condescending, arrogant. I used to frequent this place bc I know the owner, Randall. My first encounter with Tom, he was slow (like 12 mins before he even acknowledged me), and when he did, he slapped a menu in front of me and just walked away. I immediately say to him I just want a double Scotch, no food please. He gives me three side eyes and scoffs as he rips the menu off the bar. Then it took another 8 mins for him to pour my drink. As he sets my drink down, I say to him, "I'm done after this."He completely ignores me and doesn't check back until 15 mins after I've finished my drink. What was supposed to be a quick after work drink became a 40 min layover. What's amazing is, I was 1 of 4 people in the bar!!!I continued to go for a few more visits, but stopped bc of this arrogant man. What a D*CK.*UPDATED 4/19/2024*(Previously a 3 star review)So I recently came back to ottos to meet friends after work. Tom is no longer employed here. From what I heard, he was not only toxic to customers but also the staff as well. It's a shame how one person can ruin an establishment.“

“So many watering holes in this area. Oscar's feels like the only campfire. I spent 2 days in Center City and came here both days. D was my bartender and welcomed me, remembered my name and my drink. “As a vegetarian, I often struggle to find meat-free brunch options that can compare to traditional items. Sidecar Bar is the best brunch i’ve had in Philly! I got the Hippy Benny and it was PHENOMENAL!!! The ingredients were fresh and the potatoes were incredible. I went with a large group and some other favorites were the pancakes, the breakfast flatbread, and the Texan Benny. The atmosphere was fun and upbeat while still remaining casual and family friendly. Our server was friendly and attentive and it was all around a great experience! Definitely make Sidecar Bar your next Philly food destination!“

“Awesome food in Philly, glad it was our first stop in the city for food, the Philly cheesesteak is phenomenal, very well seasoned and juicy ribeye, fries were great as well. The service is awesome! “Fantastic beers! Keen (a dark mild) and Gully (IPA) are personal favorites but they have sooo many different varieties from sours to porters. Also love the wine, particularly the Pinot Gris, and my sister enjoyed the Riesling. The pizza is delicious, love the mushroom pizza and they usually have some kind of yummy special. The buffalo wings have a great heat and are juicy with plenty of meat—I don’t even like wings but these are ones I crave. Lots of veggie options, too—salads, yummy fried artichoke app, and pizzas. The ambiance is clean, colorful, and warm, and the service is always great. And they have soft serve with chocolate syrup!!“

“Vegan vegan vegan. With only one review on here using the word, it's time to draw attention. There are vegan options here. The veggie burger, vegetable wrap, and red pepper hummus with pita are all vegan. Yay! If you're into meat, you've got loads of options. Food spans a cross between gastro pub and dive bar (read: soups, chili, wings, steak tip sandwiches; quesadilla, nachos, and a variety of sandwiches.) Prices are reasonable and sandwiches come with fries or salad. The beer list is pretty long for a neighborhood watering hole. I snagged a pint of a great black lager, and also tried the Fiddlehead white which was nice too. There were about eight brews on draft and double that number in cans and bottles, plus ciders. Sitting under a tree trapped up in fairy lights on the outdoor patio was quite nice. Indoors is dark wood and a long bar and TV screens. Good place for sports fans or biergarten lunchers. Friendly service too. G'ahead, give it a try.“

“Wow. The chicken cheesesteak was just an amazing experience. Not sure if I was just overly hungry but after every bite I had to stop and admire how much flavor was put into the sandwich. From the cheese to the additional onions put into it was just a phenomenal thing that made me dream of this sandwich whenever I get a chance. The hospitality from the bartender and food makes it a spot that will gladly be put on the weekly rotation no matter what!!!“
