“There’s no where on Earth I feel more “at home” when traveling than at the Shawnee. It is clean, safe, and warm. I’m here for a week of vacation every year and it is a safehaven. The property - and you! - are personally and lovingly cared for by the kindest folks as part of their family. The area is also wonderful. I wish I could give the Shawnee as many review stars as stars I can see in the sky from their property - a million. I can’t possibly more highly recommend that you and your loved ones visit the Shawnee.“

“I always get a turtle blizzard or a Snicker's blizzard, both are excellent. Girls are always friendly and polite. So glad they remained open during this pandemic while others including the Cow near Bedford chose to close. Kudos to the Igloo“

“The ice cream here is delicious ? it's so fluffy ? if you go here..get the marshmallow sundae...it's a fluffy delicious heaven ? I'm trying to see how many times I can say fluffy:) At least twice a month in the summer, we get the treats here and take the kiddos to the park that is really close?“

“We were on our way home on the turnpike and decided to have an easy off/easy on rest break in Bedford. We stopped for ice cream at The Penguin since I had read online that they had vegan options. I was so happy to find not only did they have vegan ice cream made from oat milk, but that it wasn’t just vanilla but another flavor too. The oat ice cream was so good! My husband had a soft serve of pistachio and raspberry and said it was delicious as well. This is definitely worth a stop! The Penguin had a wide variety of ice cream flavors and soft serve flavors - great ice cream store!“
