“I love this bar. I’ve visited for years, since I moved to the area. It’s a quick lunch spot and a great place for late night refreshments. And the soups!!!! The patio was a beautiful addition that I have really enjoyed the past few summers. This year’s addition of palms and tiki umbrellas has created an even more relaxing environment. All of the employees are incredibly friendly and quickly get to know you. It’s welcoming. Also, I feel safe going here alone. The owners are generous in supporting their local community and neighbors. They have helped me on multiple occasions host fundraisers for various charities I am involved with or they have made donations. Truly a locally owned small business/gem of Dunbar that you should try. If you’re new to the area, you just might make new friends. If you’re stopping through, you’ll be welcomed. I almost forgot, this is my favorite place to feel the holiday spirit. Halloween is an event and Christmas is a popup bar/holiday vibe. Seriously, the inside is covered in Christmas lights. Multicolored. You’ll love it.“

“I got wings with the sauce on the side so they wouldn't get soggy and they were so so good I don't know what kind of breading that is but it's delicious. I'm only knocking off a star because the beer is way more money than it should be. A bottled drink is about $4.25 at least mine were I got two and it was $8.50 but all the food I got was seriously delicious especially those pizza egg rolls and the fresh cut fries I probably won't drink here but I'll order food again“

“We had the opportunity to visit Coal Hill Tavern after seeing the amazing Christmas storefronts in downtown Brownsville. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming. The wings were great and everything else we ate was yummy. The drinks were cheap too! I definitely recommend Coal Hill Tavern!“

“For a small roadside bar the food is really really great! I'm a wings snob and the wings here check ALL my boxes! Friends also enjoyed the burgers. We have been twice and service was great. Last night there was one bartender and live music so it wasn't slow, but the bartender (sadly, I didn't get her name) was ON TOP OF IT! We NEVER waited for a refill and she often checked in on our large group to make sure we had all we needed. We WILL be back!“

“I knew I was in for somethin special when I walked up into their parkin' field and saw small rocks gravellin it up all fancy like. This upscale establishment had walls from floor to ceiling on all sides. It even had not one, but two doors to go through. And get this, they on the hinges! Wow. But that's nothing compared to what I discovered entering the final door... the floor... i thought they forgot to put da sawdust down and Id be walking on raw dirt, naw, naw, it was better than saw dust. You ever hear of fellers puttin down wood across an entire floor? That must have taken a lot of dedicated non drinkers a lot of time. It nearly brought a tear to my eye to know they cared enough for me to spend all that time for me. I went to look up to the Heavens and thank God, but I couldn't see a cloud in sight. You know that dang place had a roof on it? And not any normal roof, a roof without a hole in it? Well I forgot what happened next, but I woke up in a ditch, pulled out my phone and wrote this review. I'm not sure if it was real or some kind of dream, but if I can find my way back to the country, where all the people want to be nice to everyone(like everyone everyone should learn to be nice to each other) , I'd walk right back in. Love's the way. Love is eternal.“

“On Saturday I had to call 911 for a friend that was in physical distress and was very sick. Monessen Fire Dept/EMS showed up as they knew the ambulance was delayed. They treated my friend promptly and with the utmost kindness and respect. She and I both really appreciated their true concern and the sincere respect they showed for her in a very dire circumstance. She has been hospitalized since and has been talking about these guys everyday since. Thank you very much!“
