After waiting for 15 minutes the barista finally got up from sitting hidden from the counter to ask if I’d ordered. I said I had about 15 minutes ago. She did finally get my order together and it was pretty good. Just not the place to go in a hurry.
The gentle clatter of ceramic cups and hushed conversations made for a pleasant backdrop on this drizzly afternoon. It gets a bit boisterous when it's busy, but today it was just right. I appreciate that it's a quiet refuge so close to home.
Worst airport sandwich I've ever had. It was turkey with bacon. It tasted off but I tried to eat it anyway because I was starving. Halfway through I opened it up and realized most of the bacon was burnt to black ashes. The sandwich was also too salty. No veggies to balance the heaviness of the meat and cheese.
