“It’s an unassuming spot in south Philly. You’re walking and out of nowhere, there it is. My friend and I went at noon on a Sunday, it was packed but honestly moved quickly. You order at the counter and then squeeze in the minimal seating. Even though at first I was thinking it was going to be a long process the line moved fast and people rotated out of their seats timely so my friend and I were able to get seats together with ease. We split the chicken congee and the breakfast sandwich and some vegetable fritters. Everything. Was soooo good. Could be considered one of the best breakfast sandwiches in the city. The beef bacon is really what it’s about. And the chicken congee was amazing, so much going on, lots of flavors and so comforting. Overall 10/10 will be going back.“

“I read all the positive reviews and had to check it out for myself. I have always found it difficult to find something as simple as a good breakfast place. But this time i found it! The second I walked in, I was impressed. The hostess greeted me immediately and with a smile. I asked if I should order now and she smiled and explained that she'd take my order and she'll bring it to me. It was very pleasant. The store itself is clean and bright. I ordered two eggs medium, sausage patties,home fries with peppers and onions, rye toast with a little butter and a medium coffee. Everything was made exactly as I ordered it. The portions were generous and the coffee was great. Thirteen bucks for all that. Perfect. I'll be back.“

“I ordered food delivery while in town and the food was delicious. The shrimp and grits are bomb! The eggs, bacon and potato platter was also very good. The food came fast and was fresh. I can’t comment on the atmosphere because I have never been inside but definitely a good place to get breakfast food.“

“I have been going to them everyday for months getting all typesnof breakfast food for a job I am working at. Their food is great, they cook large amounts of food fast because of the two cooks they have.

I get it in about 10-15 minutes for multiple people. The coffee is great and not burnt, they give you the right amount of sugar, which is very uncommon but great.

You wont go wronf just ordering here. I love their sandwhiches, omlettes and french toast is soft and thick pieces. They never short you on anything either.“

“I have been visiting this spot since 2001. Same great food, same family. Miss Mom and Pop being there but i am so glad to see the kids take over and continue serving food. The food is great and the price is good. Freshly grinded coffee, fresh food made to order. I dont care what anyone says but this is my go to breakfast spot in the entire Philly area.“

A Philly staple. The cheese steak. Everyone complains about portions nowadays where you go. That's just the world we live in today, but the portion of fries, which by the way were some of the best fries I've EVER had! It taste so fresh. Hot, golden and the crispiness was on point! The cheese steak had the right amount of meat, cheese, onions and seasoning to bread ratio! Chef's kiss! The bread was toasted on the inside that had that crunch goodness to it. Come here for their breakfast! Then come back later for their lunch! You won't be disappointed! Shout out to the hostess! She was amazing! Very polite and professional!

“Both servers working the counter were pleasant but the woman running the cash register was dismissive (to me) and rude to the servers, customers, and Dashers. She seemed to be the manager. Everyone around her seemed to be prioritizing the customers except her. Then she changed my bill after the server gave me my payslip resulting the server receiving less tip from my check. She’s going to lose staff and customers if she doesn’t learn to be more pleasant. But overall a nice diner like atmosphere and food was good. I ordered a waffle with bananas and walnuts. “Hubs and I are on vacation and we literally just Googled breakfast places near us. We try to eat local when we travel and avoid chain restaurants so we chose this one based on the reviews. And it did not disappoint! The food is great and there’s plenty of it! I had the western omelette and home fries and could not finish it. Hubs got two eggs, bacon, sausage and home fries and also could not finish. The service is excellent, everyone is so friendly and welcoming. A must try!!“
