The Institute is a great place for multiple reasons. It’s conveniently located just on the edge of Center City, they have a large selection of delicious dishes, a large variety of beers and liquors, and the staff is very friendly.
The burger is delicious and is fantastic!
We went for brunch on a Sunday late morning. The food was decently good. The only complaint is our food came out and wasn't hot temperature-wise. We waited a while to get our coffees too. The waiter was so kind but he was the only person handling the entire restaurant and it was relatively busy. If there was someone else to assist, the service would have been better. The Institute Craft Bar & Kitchen is a restaurant in Philly known for its delicious breakfast options, like Huevos Rancheros and chicken and waffles. It offers a spacious interior with plenty of seating, making it a great spot for brunch or to end the night with a drink. The bartenders are friendly and have even created custom drinks when certain options are unavailable. The food receives high praise, with dishes like the chicken and egg sandwich being tasty, albeit a little messy, and the fries being described as airy and addicting. The service is excellent, and the atmosphere is modern yet comfortable, with a unique flair, including a farmhouse-style bathroom that adds character. Prices are reasonable, and it’s a worthwhile visit, especially during quieter times when guests can enjoy the moment and the well-composed drinks.
