Valley Green Inn Reviews
my friends and I had a great dinner here. Great food & service I highly recommend this great restaurant in the park
We just had our wedding at Valley Green Inn, and we cannot say enough wonderful things about the experience! The setting is truly stunning, and perfect for a beautiful and chill wedding vibe. Amber and her staff are absolutely incredible, they managed every detail with care and enthusiasm. We also love that we can return to VGI on future anniversaries 😊 We feel so grateful and fortunate to have held our special day in this special place.
Valley Green Inn is situated in the midst of the beautiful Wissahickon Valley. The building dates to the mid-18th Century, but the food and service are top notch 21st Century! We sat on the porch on a summer evening, and we had a beautiful view of the Wissahickon and could watch the world go by as people enjoyed the area. We will return gladly and highly recommend others to visit, too!

Valley Green Inn, a historic restaurant in Fairmount Park, offers excellent food in a lovely setting along the Wissahickon. Guests enjoy delicious dishes like buttermilk dipped fried chicken, pan-seared salmon, sticky ribs, and tiramisu. The portions are very generous, and the vinaigrette dressing is a highlight. The staff is friendly and efficient, with an accommodating hostess ensuring a pleasant experience. The attentive staff, beautiful weather on the porch, and fantastic service make it a great spot for outdoor dining. The filet mignon was cooked perfectly, as were the veggies, and the presentation was nice. The bartender’s salted caramel White Russian is a must-try, and the food remains impeccable. Although parking can be an issue due to the busy activity in Fairmount Park, especially on mild fall days, the restaurant is a favorite for special occasions. Guests appreciate the comfortable atmosphere, including the cozy porch with heat lamps. The menu continues to impress, with options like salmon served with a beautiful arrangement of rice, sautéed spinach, and julienne carrots. The cheese cake with a homemade crust and raspberry sauce is also a highlight. Whether for a birthday celebration or a lovely evening, the pricing, quality, and atmosphere deliver a memorable experience, encouraging guests to return again and again.
