“Service was good especially considering rush. Place looks fabulous, prime photo-op location.
Drinks are somewhat limited, mostly just sweet cocktails. Would be nice to have better tap selections and Japanese whiskeys.
Food was mostly decent except for the grilled stuff like Miso Salmon - that was spectacular. It was the only thing worth the price (everything is kinda expensive).“

“Stop scrolling and just map here and go already! I grew up on the island of Guam with a wide variety of fresh authentic Asian food at my fingertips. Often eating Asian food is sad for me because it is so far from what I remember and reminds me of how far away I feel from the Pacific Ocean. Now that I’ve found this place, there’s nowhere else I will be going when I’m homesick and hungry. The owner and his family are simply precious, radiating quiet kindness and familial warmth to every guest who came in. They are a new restaurant, but the owners (both chefs) knew people by name and asked new guests their names, and served exquisite and beautiful food I will be thinking about for days. If you can, bring a friend with you so you can share something from Japan and something from Thailand on your first visit. You won’t regret it. Oh, and the donuts…
Vegetarian options: Most menu items can be made vegetarian or vegan!
Kid-friendliness: Kids menu, very relaxed and unpretentious, owners are parents and happy to host children.“

“Been there for sit down and take out. Loved everything we tried. Great food for a really good price. Love to support local restaurants like this one! Ginger salad, green tea salad, sushi, and beef curry are all great. But we keep coming back to chicken noodle soup with coconut milk (Ohn-no Kauk Swe - SP2)!“

“This was an unexpected surprise!
On this strip of restaurants your wouldn't expect to walk upon a food truck with two very polite older women running the show.
It was clean and the service was fast & friendly. Locals were lined up as well as tourists like us.
Covered seating wasn't fancy but it saved is from the sun! ☀“

“Got takeout a few times now and have been happy with both the quality and quantity of food for the price. A pile of meat on a pile of rice, generously sauced... can't find much to complain about. General Tso's has a nice lingering heat that builds as you eat without overwhelming the other flavors in the sauce. Orange chicken could stand to be fruitier, but that's me nitpicking“

“We tried Grapow for the first time today and we had a great experience! The food was soooo yummy, the staff was extremely friendly, and the atmosphere was very nice! We ordered the green curry bowl and the garlic chicken bowl and both were really good! We are excited to go back soon and try some more items on the menu!“

“Amazing hot pot! This was my first time trying something like this and it was delicious. We had the tom yum and curry hotpot. It came with veggie, meat/fish sides that you cook in the broth. Kind of like an Asian fondue!
Their boba is ok, but the food is excellent and hit the spot on a cold rainy night!“

“Route 51 Restaurant is a little slice of Heaven. If you like Indian/Nepali food, go there. Everything was excellent. Best Masala Tea ever. We had Steamed Veggie Momo (so good), Chicken Tikka Masala, and the Tandoori Chicken. Will will most certainly be back!“

“Lived around the corner for years. Zen is awesome, don’t let the looks deceive you. Dinner or lunch bento box is a great deal, and the sushi is shockingly good. Inside/atmosphere is basically pick up your order and bounce as opposed to a sit down dinner spot but imo this is more of a takeout spot anyways. Definitely recommend.“

“Delicious food? Check, Wonderful atmosphere? Check, Clean restaurant? Check, Amazing Staff? Check.
You order and pay for your meal through your phone, but you can ask for a physical menu and to pay with cash if needed. The staff are wonderful, always smiling and are quite quick. Water pitcher is provided for the whole table instead of one single cup per person, and the boba tea is even better.
Came here with a friend on a Sunday, so free parking on the sidewalks. Easy to find and easy to get seating too. Definitely plan on coming back next time we are in town!“

“Umami is a vibe! The artwork, music, and service come together to create an incredible atmosphere. I’ve been there twice for dinner and absolutely loved the takoyaki (fried octopus balls, they were perfectly cooked. The gyudon (beef rice bowl) was just okay, but the rayu cucumbers were delightful and had the perfect crunch! It’s a great spot for a date night, especially with their shareable plates. You should definitely make a reservation before going!“

“An amazing, inviting environment to share delicious dim sum and traditional Cantonese dishes! Every aspect of the experience, from the well crafted cocktails to the impeccable service is without equal in the area, while also providing a more relaxed, family style vibe to the experience. “My daughter and I tried the Green Mango for the first time. We had the avocado summer rolls as an appetizer and the vegetarian drunken noodles and the pork with spicy basil as main courses. The owner spent time with us and answered all our questions. The food and service were both excellent. You’ve just gained two new customers!!“

“Update: the restaurant reached out and gave me a refund, store credit and explained what happened. They are changing owners and apparently there was confusion with the online ordering company. I will try them again when they reopen.
Do not order from them right now. They are accepting online orders, but they are closed for renovations and there is no one there to give your money back. DO NOT ORDER.“

“Amazing food. Some of the best eats you’ll find in PGH in regards to asian cuisine. The steak over rice is my personal favorite. Keep in mind theyre CASH ONLY (ATM ONSITE) and theyre a little bit on the expensive end of things as are most local ethnic restaurants, although its prolly a bit more affordable vs what else you might have seen. Seriously though, this is definitely a GREAT place to check out if you’re down. A huge upside is they’re open PAST MIDNIGHT, might be the only place in all of PGH doing so thats worth checking out“

“Fantastic customer service, excellent food, everything was made to order so they were able to make a vegetarian mapo tofu without pork and it was so tasty. I called and the person working there was excellent, said to order with them over the phone because it was cheaper/faster/easier than DoorDash and their delivery person was prompt and wonderful. Would highly recommend the food and the service - definitely just call them instead of using an app!“

“I have been coming here for a little over 3 years now. The restaurant is always clean and cool, the staff are the friendliest and are so kind when they remember my friends and me and chat with us when we come in. And not to mention the food. To be completely honest, I could eat here every day. The ramen wu has become such a comfort and is always incredible anytime I go (which is pretty often). This place is a must try if you have not been!“

“If you know, you know. Lucy's Bahn Mi is a Pittsburgh staple, a must have, something worth going out of your way for... Arguably one of the best sandwiches in Pittsburgh this little tent (now food truck) has been positioned in Pittsburgh's Strip District for years right outside Bar Marco and it's a must have. They offer 3 sandwiches now chicken, pork, and tofu/vegetarian and they are all worth having. Sandwiches are served on split rolls with meat and fresh and pickled vegetables and topped with a sauce that's so good you can drink it. Love Lucy's and hope it's around for many more years to come!“
