Meh. It's small and there's almost nowhere to sit. The layout is just really strange and not conducive to watching the drag shows or hanging out with friends. Drinks are average.
At it's high point, the Elbow Room was a nice place for a light meal at a reasonable cost. But after moving from it's original location to Walnut Street in Shadyside, food quality dropped and prices climbed. Too late, it returned to it Ellsworth Avenue roots. Died a whimpering death.
This bar has improved tremendously in recent years, and is one of only two gay bars in this little town worth going to (the other being right up the street). Nice outdoor area. Daily specials are very good. Bartenders have all been friendly. Mark, one of the main bartenders there is absolutely phenomenal!
