Hosted a surprise 30th birthday at Shady Grove, and it was such a great experience! The upstairs space was perfect for our group, with plenty of seating and its own bar.
Sofia from Shady Grove was so helpful throughout the event. She did a great job coordinating the food and drinks, was attentive, and made sure everything ran smoothly.
I'd definitely recommend Shady Grove (and Sofia) if you're looking for a great spot to host a party or special gathering!
Good prices but the cheesessteak was depressingly small. Tasted great though
Food was delicious, fast service, the waitress are Nice! Place is amazing, will be returning soon!!

Shady Grove is a decent spot in Shadyside, offering consistently good and affordable food with a big menu selection. The restaurant features a good draft selection and outdoor seating in warmer months. Menu highlights include the bomb Shishito peppers, delicious fried pickles with Cajun ranch, and tasty options like the Fried green tomato BLT and chicken sandwich. The staff is super friendly and welcoming. Their wraps and side dishes are amazing. Everything on the menu is familiar American food but with a tiny twist. Beware, wait times can get long on the weekends and the restaurant can feel cramped and noisy when busy. Shady Grove is a great spot for good food, vibes, and desserts.
