Lucca is always an outstanding choice for good quality Italian food in Oakland. A bit on the pricey side, the high quality consistency is definitely worth it. It is a favorite place for us to gather and I highly recommend it.
Disappointed/embarrassed. The Lucca meatballs and Brussels sprouts apps were delicious. However, two of the three entrees fell short. The seafood portion of the Frutti di Mar con Rigatoni was good but the rigatoni had various degrees of temperature from lukewarm to hot and did not taste “fresh” but more of a reheat. The ASIAGO Chicken Gnocchi was served without the chicken! As we were finishing dinner, we were presented with a “bowl” of grilled chicken. We were discounted...read full review

We ate here before a show while in from out of town and we were so happy with our decision. The 2 person table was romantic. Our server, Jake, was awesome- super friendly, very attentive, personable and great with suggestions. Our drinks were creative and delicious. Our entrees with the homemade pasta was amazing. The dessert, chocolate lava cake with gelato, was fantastic. If you are looking for a delicious dinner with great service, go to Lucca - you will thank me.
