The best Chinese food I've found in Pittsburgh with the best wonton soup I've probably ever had. Typical atmosphere for inhouse dining
Ordered their General Tso’s (white meat) and it was hands down the best General Tso’s I’ve ever had. I had their chicken and broccoli before, which was also sooo good, but this was definitely a pleasant surprise. Will definitely be ordering here more in the future!
China Ichiban has been a standby in our house since we tried them maybe 6 months ago. Consistently great quality and it’s affordable. The staff are so kind and talented! Highly recommend this restaurant.

China Ichiban offers a mix of experiences. While some find the food just okay, others love it and keep coming back. The General Tso's is hit or miss, but the Egg Rolls are crispy and filling. The service is fast, the prices are reasonable, and the portions are generous. The small Egg Drop Soup is excellent, and the Chicken w/ Garlic Sauce is a family favorite. Overall, China Ichiban is a reliable option for Chinese food, with some dishes that impress and others that may not meet expectations.
