“I love this place! I typically try to avoid going later in the evenings or near closing time, as the food quality/availability decreases, but their prices are great for the buffet and selection is usually full. Their Hibachi bar and Sushi counter are my favorite part of the buffet.“

“This place has quickly become our go-to Chinese take out. The food is awesome with great portions - we can’t stop eating the pad Thai! And the sushi is awesome. I was so impressed that the actually packed the sushi in ice to keep it safe and fresh for us while we brought it home!“

“Atmosphere is great , PF Chang's is our go to after movie dinner spot as it gives us time to unwind and talk about the movie. Drinks are amazing, we opted for the Margaritas versus cold Sake and was a niche change up. And we did the 3 course dinner for 2 because it had our favorite appetizer lettuce wraps and perfect meal choices. It seemed like our portions were bigger this time and cooked to perfection! Service was fast and helpful, we enjoyed this dinner a lot.“

“Outstanding food outstanding service!!!!
Though the restaurant is average in size they more than make it up with outstanding (yes using that word again) authentic Chinese cuisine!!!!!
They also have traditional menu items that will blow you away..... don't believe me......try their super sized egg rolls!!!!!!
When busy the restaurant is a beehive of activity but the staff handles it all with the grace elegance and precision of Ballroom Dancing!
By virtue of Chinatown Inn's constantly being crowded obviously they are doing something right and I completely concur!

“China Taste restaurant serves foods such as egg rolls, wontons, hot and sour soup, fried rice, bean curd, beef lo mein, egg foo young, sweet and sour chicken, roast pork, and shrimp chow mein. Prices are reasonable.
I purchased three entrees, the broccoli with garlic sauce, hunan shrimp, and kung pao shrimp. The cook quickly made my foods. I thought that these foods tasted very good.“

“I've only had takeout from this restaurant, but it is my favorite takeout in the area. Food is always hot and flavorful. Pork fried rice contains generous portions of very flavorful pork. Vegetable eggrolls are excellent! Capital chicken is the shared favorite between my husband and I. They are fast, reliable, and have never let me down!“

“Everytime I order the same thing. Each time. Each time it is wrong. Just check your order Everytime before pick up. I had faith itd be right each time because it's so simple and I order all the time but just check your food because yes it is delicious but it is not what I ordered. If I wanted rock hard crunchy broccoli, I would have went out in the garden and ate some with ranch dressing. What you get is what you get. No remakes. :)“

“Reading the previous reviews made me give this place a try...they didn't have anything the previous reviewers rated on the buffet. The buffet was a little over $14.00 and plus a tip puts you at $17+...do not come here for the buffet is the lesson here...everything was basic, veggie lo-mein, oily plain fried rice, rice noodles, string beans...ect ect. Everything you would find as expected at a buffet. They did have one pretty authentic tomatoes and egg dish I haven't had since I was a kid in Taiwan. Other than that everything else was ok.“

“I’ve lived in and around the area for the past decade and have no idea how many times I drove past this place over the years without stopping. I’m regretting every single time! Insanely affordable, great size portions, and always tastes amazing. Easily one of the best in the South Hills.“

“China jade is the best chinese takeout you'll find in this area. We've been going there for years and they've never once disappointed. The lady who takes your order is so good and fast. I don't know how she does IT but she does it ALL and still treats customer's with appreciation and a smile which is rare in today's climate. Trust me, from someone whos super picky about food, you will not be disappointed!“

“This Chinese food restaurant is primarily a take-out shop. The food is made fresh, so it is hot and tasty. The General Tso's chicken is tasty but not too hot. The portions are good, and the pricing is appropriate. I definitely recommend trying this restaurant.“

“Had to stop at the dispensary near by and was super hungry. This was the closest restaurant so I just went in and ordered something. It was completely empty and quiet with a perfect Chinese takeout restaurant vibe. I was greeted by one man and he was super nice and professional. I JUST missed the lunch menu but it was super affordable. I’m a picky eater so I was nervous about what I ordered. But then I ate it and it was delicious. The egg roll too. A really nice meal by chance <3“

“This is the best restaurant in Pittsburgh bar none.
I’ve eaten most of their giant menu and haven’t yet been disappointed (though I just don’t understand seaweed knots, anywhere). All the fish and pickled veg dishes slap, their hand cabbage is my fav, they do whole fish and duck very well, the saltnpepper and flaming pan stir-fries are solid, their American-style dishes are a head above counter take-out places; even their fortune cookies are better than standard Canto spots.
I usually take out, but when I eat there, it’s even better.
They also once came out and offered us water when we were walking around with our kid on a hot day. I love this restaurant.“

“I came here to try the peking duck and I have got to say it was one of the best I have had in the area so far. I got the full duck, skin and meat (I have been to some places that only give you part of a duck and hardly any skin) not only that but I got plenty of pancakes, green onion, cucumber, and hoisin. There was easily enough for 4 meals, since I was eating alone. It only took about 30 minutes for them to prepare the duck which is pretty good and average for this kind of meal. The service was great, I am sad I wasn't able to dine in but I definitely understand.Next time I am in the area I am definitely returning not only to get the peking duck but to try more of the meal. I am throughly impressed with this restaurant and can't wait to return.“

“So I went to this place right before they were about to close and they still allowed me to order to dine in instead of having to get takeout ... the atmosphere was extremely laid back, with relaxed oriental music playing but low enough to just be a background sound... for food I ordered Beef and Broccoli no rice and it was delicious... I bought a diet Pepsi but didn't even touch it, I enjoyed their water... great place good portion and if I had rice would have definitely had lunch the next day.... loved the presentation big Chinese place, chop sticks.... would recommend to all my friends and family...
thank you Wai-Wai“

“As someone who grew up outside of NYC, I am very particular about Chinese take out. No. 1 Chinese Kitchen in the Penn Hills neighborhood of Pittsburgh is a solid 9/10. Egg rolls were crispy and delicious. The soups are outstanding (tried egg drop & hot and sour) and the dumplings are on par with an absolutely outstanding garlic dipping sauce. Entrees are very good, but I've only tried two - egg foo young and sesame chicken. Egg foo young is on par with NYC - will definitely get again!! Sesame chicken is a touch too sweet, but I prefer more savory over sweet dishes. Will definitely get take out from them again!!“

“Ive been coming here for over a decade. Best food for the value in the city. It's hard to eat out under $15-$20 these days but Number 1 is a rare exception. I can get full here for under $10. Also the people that run the place are extremely friendly“

“Terrible service, terrible food. Don't eat here.
Edit: I'm editing this review to 5 stars. Originally, I reviewed this location when it was called iNoodle. Thankfully, that place has closed down. Since there's a new restaurant owner, I believe it's fair to remove my previous 1-star review.“
“Hands down the best Chinese food I have *ever* had. Incredible. I ask for flavor and spice and boy did they deliver!!! I can’t wait to try everything they offer. The wait staff was kind and responsive. The environment was quiet and optimized for conversation. This is not your everyday “take out” Chinese. Respect the culture and order authentically. You will not be disappointed.“

“Consistently great food! Every time I'm working in the area this is my go to place for takeout. I love the chicken fried rice it's very tasty & not expensive a small is a generous portion & only $8, for me it's two meals. Another favorite of mine are the chicken egg rolls, always hot & crispy. The staff is friendly & helpful & they have earned my loyal business. I've been coming about 3 years now & never one bad experience. I can't say that about many places.“

“Good food with good portions and prices to match. Across 12+ years of ordering from them I've only had a single mistake, and it was a small one. The place could use a facelift, but it's not dine in so that isn't a big deal. The food is always made quickly, usually 10-15 minutes, and I've never had any issues with it being cold. I also appreciate how fast you can get an order placed, I'm never on the phone with them for more than 30 seconds.“

“Went there for the first time on Tuesday October 4th. I had the General two's chicken and crab Rangoon's. I was surprised with the amount of crab Rangoon's I got. Even though it was packed to go I asked the nice lady if it was okay if my friend and I could eat inside. That wasn't a problem. Everything was fresh! The chicken didn't taste stale (unlike some places I've eaten at in Nebraska) the egg roll was not bad, and the crab Rangoon's were pretty good too just thought they could have used a little extra flavor like a little green onion or some white pepper. The protion looked small but don't let your eyes fool you it was a decent sized portion and I got full. Split the crab Rangoon's with my friend and ate them on my dinner break at work. I probably will end up going back but there's other places in the area I want to try as well.“

“I never leave reviews, but I love their food here. Service is fast, food is great and reasonably priced. They always have utensils and sauce in the bag. Just had their small egg drop soup and an egg roll for lunch. The soup was excellent!! Came with the fried noodles. The vegetable egg roll was crispy and filling!!! It also had the sauce packets with it. I've been going here off and on since they opened and have never been disappointed. It's way better than fast food and it's consistently good. Actually, over the years it has gotten better!!!!!“
