“I never leave reviews, but I love their food here. Service is fast, food is great and reasonably priced. They always have utensils and sauce in the bag. Just had their small egg drop soup and an egg roll for lunch. The soup was excellent!! Came with the fried noodles. The vegetable egg roll was crispy and filling!!! It also had the sauce packets with it. I've been going here off and on since they opened and have never been disappointed. It's way better than fast food and it's consistently good. Actually, over the years it has gotten better!!!!!“

“A high end, high priced, and high quality experience. The seafood options are wonderful. Black cod with a hint of heat and spice or a hong kong style sea bass or some delectable scallops.The shellfish tower was light on content for $80 but made up for with good flavor.Cocktails can be hit or miss and I found them to be fairly weak.Service was top notch and our hostess was very knowledgeable and friendly.“

“Pittsburgh rarely disappoints when it comes to Asian food. Senyai is no different. Visited Senyai for dinner with my family. The ambiance and staff are welcoming. We sat in the dining room, which is a cozy setting. We would like to try the patio seating next time. The food was really good. We ordered some dumplings, tom kha soup and fired calamari, which are our family favorites. Dumplings were good. However, the calamari was a bit overcooked. Kids liked their Pad Medamamuang. I ordered ped krob (thai spicy) and loved it. My wife ordered tom yum (thai spicy) and loved it as well. We loved the fact that the portion sizes are not too big. Overall it was good experience. We will definitely come back.“

“Such an awesome restaurant. Had a great experience. The Taiwanese beef noodle soup was fantastic. Same with the wonton soup; never had better wontons. We also got beef fried rice and string bean chicken. All of it was so flavorful and cooked to perfection. Thanks for the great lunch!“

“Ive been driving by this place for a while now and finally stopped by, and WOW... Im very pleased I did! They cooked my Catfish Bites and Chicken Tenders fresh and fast. “Angela, is an angel. She was one of the most kind servers I have ever come across.They had a picture of a juicy cheeseburger out front which is what drew me in. It did not disappoint! It was so big I could barely finish.I am making this as one of my favorites ? you should too!“

“Overall, we had a mixed experience at the restaurant. While the service was good, there were some issues with the food quality control during our visit. The burrata was delicious, and we thoroughly enjoyed the cheeseburgers. However, we were disappointed to find that the capers in the steak tartare had a moldy odor to them, and the Lobster Mac was overly salty, making it inedible. Despite these setbacks, Manager David promptly addressed the issues, which we appreciated.“

“You stand in line you order what you want and they cook it fresh right in front of you they weigh it up then you pay at the end you can eat inside or a balcony upside or outside across the street there's a free parking lot with benches you could sit outside and eat and it don't cost nothing to park there“

“Kicking myself for not driving up the hill sooner to this incredible Pittsburgh gem! The food: outstanding and fresh. The drinks: Delicious. The glassware: so fun. The owner and staff: incredible people. We visited on the last night of the season before the owner makes the trek home for some well-deserved time off for the holidays. (They'll be back in Feb). We had lovely conversations with the staff and other bar patrons. It's a lovely cozy space and the perfect environment for talking to strangers. There are some beautiful photos on the wall used as conversation starters from the owners travels. I tried the pickle martini and some of the house-made wines, all were so tasty. The food blew me out of the water. The Iberian plate was a perfectly curated mix of the most delicious meats, cheeses, olives, kimchi, etc. We got lucky that day as the owner had prepared her famous lamb. She slices it thin and serves it with a generous portion of pita bread and house made dips including tatziki and red pepper hummus. I'm dreaming of eating and drinking here again and can't wait to become a regular.“

“The food was fantastic. Came in on Ash Wednesday for a fish sandwich and it was very good. Will definitely stop there again. Only complaint is the place needs a good cleaning/facelift but other than that the staff is friendly and food is great!“

“me and my boyfriend drove about an hour from beaver county to try shay and baeee's restaurant. the food was pictured exactly how it looks from the pictures online. my boyfriend got the lobster and shrimp. he said everything was fire, only thing he would of changed was to have more lobster meat. I got the chicken and steak, everything was great. chicken was a little dry (nothing a little sauce can't fix) and the cabbage and Mac n cheese was good. cabbage was just a little spicy for me (I'm weak with spicy foods so may be fine to others) go support small business, and hopefully we'll see y'all in beaver county one day!“

“The fish was huge & falling off the plate. I don't think I've ever eaten anywhere that they didn't forget to bring something out...like ranch or mayo, but it didnt happen here. You get a lot of food for a very reasonable price. The place was packed the whole time we were there. All the staff were nice & friendly. Definitely worth a trip to South Hills!“

“I come with my husband for lunch. We always get the lunch special and he LOVES the soup that comes with it. I adore the Tum Yum veggie soup. The summer roll is so fresh and the crab app is crispy and always hot. It’s a family owned business so that just makes it even better. You can’t go wrong with anything you get. Try the Musaman curry with beef. The owner is so sweet and that’s what keeps my husband and I coming back for more.“

“Went there for Valentines Day.....first time there. Very quaint place. French Onion soup was delicious as was the Halibut. The service was spectacular and we did not feel rushed at all. The lemon sorbet was a nice touch to cleanse the pallet. We will be back.....hungry.“

I’ve been in Pittsburgh for about 5 years and I can finally say that I found my spot for fried chicken. “Read the mini bio/mission statement of young Luke Wholey at the front of the restaurant; so charming and somehow makes you feel personally connected.The food we ordered was cooked very well with great freshness, flavor and seasoning. The fish and oysters were excellent.We had the unexpected opportunity to meet and speak with R. Wholey who was very generous with his time in answering questions about the history of the family business. What a treat!Personally observed LW with a broom in hand and doing a quick clean of the stairs then also acting as greeter and host as guests came in. It was our first visit, hopefully not the last, and I hope the restaurant continues to have success and longevity much like the related Wholey's fish market and grocery store down the block.“

We didn't have a reservation but they sat us in the bar area so I guess I would most likely make a reservation next time . I ordered the chicken parmigiana and it was huge ! Also very good . “Great experience at Alihan's today! My friend and I ordered the iskander kebab and Turkish falafel. We really liked them both! The complementary bread is so soft and chewy. The ambience strikes a nice balance between classy and comfortable. We learned from the staff as they closed out for the evening that they had been understaffed. They were so pleasant and attentive that it didn't show! I highly recommend Alihan's for an all around positive experience.“

“Amel's is top of the line Mediterranean cuisine and my favorite go-to for baba gannouj. They have an extensive menu (including American fare) and always have several dinner specials. My favorites: stuffed eggplant, mazze platter, tabbulee, grape leaves and lamb shish kabob. The beet salad is excellent. Their seafood specials are always fresh and delicious! The swordfish kabob is outstanding if it's on special. Entrees include a stellar Amel's salad and warm pita bread. There's a separate bar with patio seating and a small bar in the dining room. Embellishing a great dinner is a warm and colorful ambiance of many hanging lamps, and the romantic mural on the wall will captivate your imagination! I've enjoyed dining here for years, and it offers good service and a moderately priced menu. Amel's is one of the few restaurants where you can enjoy a late dinner or small plates and cocktails. They are open until 11 pm Monday through Saturday. If you are looking for a big hit for a party try the mazza platter. I thoughtful friend added it to my birthday party menu. It contains, the dips, taboulee, artichoke hearts, stuffed grape leaves and pita. It can also be also vegan friendly and gluten-free, and everyone loved it!“

“My mom, my son and I came to Merchant on Friday (2/16) night. Merchant Oyster is pretty, pretty, pretty, pretty...pretty good.We sat upstairs and our waiter was great! Really friendly and welcoming. He had a lot of patience chatting with my son and that means a lot because my son is very talkative. ?The vibe at Merchant is great. It's eclectic and warm and welcoming.The food was awesome. “This place is second to none! Top notch on everything. We had my husbands retirement celebration there last Saturday. We had another venue and 5 days before the event we decided we were making a mistake and called Lynn at the Red Lion Restaurant. On short notice Lynn accommodated every single request we asked her for. We had an extensive Menü, Stuff PorkChops, Roast Beef in gravy, Seafood Alfredo, Rigatoni, Red Roasted Potatoes and a vegetable melody, A charcuterie table that was amazing, the food was excellent, the service was incredible, her staff went far and beyond to make this event special! I want to thank them all for making this celebration in our families life so special and a beautiful memory we will cherish for ever. “Good service, the server was hustling which I really appreciated, food was excellent, the fact they include bread and soup or salad with the entree makes it very reasonable pricing. “I do not eat meat on Fridays during Lent. I went to Red Lobster & ordered Twin Maine Lobster entrees with cole slaw. I took it home & steamed fresh asparagus. Each bite of everything just popped in my mouth, so succulant. Danni, the hostess was patient & terrific. The manager, Meghan, went over & beyond by making sure my order was correct & entertained me a little while I waited for my food to be done. “This establishment has consistently changed and evolved their recipes until it became a excellent and super flavorful plate of food. I can say kudos to them for making it worth trying. “If you want fish during lent this is the place to go. I have never in my entire life tasted homemade products and baked goods this good. It makes me lent was every week. “Went on a Friday they had lent menu in addition to regular menu. No kids menu, but sides and apps easily made them happy. The fish tacos had very large pieces of fish and were cooked perfectly. Beer and draft menu was great, BBQ shrimp skewers were filling and Cole slaw was creamy style and very good. The waitresses seemed to work as a team and we were continuously checked on by several different team members. I would recommend this place for lunch or dinner. I have had their burgers in the past and they are very good as well.Parking: Building has ample parking on one side.Kid-friendliness: Kids enjoyed it here, no kids menu but many options in apps and sides (chicken tenders, Mac and cheese, quesadillas, etc)“
