“Not the same as it was, but the new owner is passionate and the staff is top notch. I miss some of the charm of the old vibe, but the Pub is in the hands of someone who appears to care about the place, while following her own vision. “Clean and good service. They have pool, darts, and outdoor seating. You can order food at the bar from Portofinos next door and they bring it over so you can eat at gormans. Their food is amazing and so reasonably priced, they also have different drink specials everyday, and many of them. The bartender Sam is a sweetheart and great at her job. She recognized me and my boyfriend by the second time we came in, remembered what drinks we got, and shes great at making conversation. We will definitely keep coming back“

“I ❤️ this place!!! The staff is wonderful, the owner is super friendly, and the cooks make amazing food! Plus, they have a pool table, darts, and a great selection of beer and spirits! Highly recommend!“
“My friend and I stopped in on our way back home from Pittsburgh. He said he was there once and they had excellent wings. He wasn't lying. They are whole, jumbo wings and they fell off the bone. Kaylee, our server and bartender was wonderful. The cook, I think it was Joe. They were out of a certain wing sauce, but he made a new batch, just for me.
I'll be stopping again soon.“

“Lots of wing flavors and they came out hot and crispy! Between my husband, Dad and I, we had 4 different flavors: Cajun wet, hot garlic, honey badger, and jackal. They were all good! Decent beer selection. We sat outside under the tent which has three TVs. French onion soup, pesto flatbread, kids pizza, kids chicken fingers and salads were all good as well.“

“This was our first time here and the breakfast/lunch bar was open. it was phenominal. great quality of food, tons of choices in buffet style containers to keep it hot. Everything from made to order omlettes, waffles, sausage, salad, pot roast, mashed potatoes, tender breakfast potatoes. my husband said it was the best omlette he has ever had. he had the Irish Omlette. Great staff. This was a huge win. very comfortable seating. The chef was also amazing“

If you was there and needed cigarettes, no matter what time or whoever was there, employees or customers. And needed cigarettes, you would have received cigarettes even if you didn't have any money. So why don't you say anything about you abusing dogs? Or what about someone saying something about you that's not true on the internet?? Wouldn't like that would you.. and the animal abuse is true. They have a music box to play your own music if you like.Saturday night live Dj.Bingo as well on some night. “I ate before arriving, so I didn’t have any of the food. But the kitchen was pumping out orders the entire time I was there. Drinks were generous with alcohol. Bartender was nice. Atmosphere was light, like I came with one friend felt like I knew everyone else I encountered. Good music choices were made on the jukebox. I enjoyed myself.“

“i have taken several people here visiting from all over PA and even Florida. Everyone loved it, it's like a dive bar from the past. Not fancy on purpose, not pretentious on purpose. The food is off the charts, wings, burgers, cheese steaks. They even have a tent set up for the covid. Do yourself a favor and find this gem.“
“What a fun little spot to stop in for a drink before & after an event. We dropped by for the 1st time b4 the Pens game (& after if course). The owner Jimmy was so gracious, so friendly to talk with. The crowd wasn't too bad (we even started taking to a few other PENs fans, that was nice) , the food was really good. So if you're looking for a good place to hang out, grab a bite & a drink be sure to stop at Shale's. I know I'll definitely be back.“

“Love the new look! Nicely done 👍 the drinks are fun and the menu 😋 Hawaiian food!! Some dishes I never had and well made. The food is provided on plastic plates however it’s a bar. Totally understandable. Fun. Great selections of beer. Great music. The staff is kind. The food didn’t take long and the prices are right. Parking can be tricky. You just have to get lucky. But totally worth it. Love the roof top. Took my HS son for lunch and then another time for dinner with friends. They can also host private events, something to consider. Not handicap friendly. If you can definitely check it out. Kids okay during the day, I wouldn’t do evenings. Gets crowded and more of a bar scene.“
