I've never had Caribbean food before, and when I asked for recommendations everyone (staff and customers) was so kind and gave me lots of good suggestions. I wasn't disappointed by anything I ordered. The chicken stew platter was easily my favorite dish but the chicken roti and potato roti were delicious as well. Someone recommended a coconut bake with the platter and that made the whole meal even better. I also tried the currant roll and bread pudding which satisfied my craving for a dessert. I will be coming back on the weekends to try the beef dishes as well because I'm so impressed with everything.“

“I love this place. If you are ever in philly you must try this Ghanian spot! If you like spicy this is the place. If you like rice get the jollof! My favorite is light soup with fufu. The peanut litter soup is bomb! Matter fact just eat everything. Only come if you have time to enjoy. Service is not typical of most American dinner time standards. Call ahead to ensure they are open that weekend! I wish they delivered via an app. But still worth going for the experience.“

Tender, saucy oxtails over herby rice and peas, curry goat that warms you all the way down, balanced jerk with just the right spice, and to make it an even easier pitch: helpings so large they could kill a man. Cash only, so make sure you've got some, and banter with the guys through the grate window while you're waiting - they're awfully funny.“

I went to this Jamaican restaurant for lunch and I ordered macaroni and cheese and corn bread and I noticed they had oxtail on their menu and I told they lady who worked there that I never had oxtail and I was told by my family and friends that oxtail is so good so the the lady asked if I wanted to order a platter I said no because I already brought fried chicken and I just want the Mac and cheese and corn bread to eat with my chicken so she was kind enough to ask me if I wanted to sample the oxtail and I said yes she then hand me a small cup with oxtail and gravy. OMG that oxtail was tender and falling off the bone. It tasted like beef stew and the gravy was AWESOME so awesome that I was licking the gravy off my fingers. I will definitely be ordering a oxtail platter from this restaurant in the near future. 😋“

My jaw dropped when I opened the container. They know how to give you food for the price, which is a blessing with how much it can cost to eat out now a days and how some places charge so much for so little- that’s not this place. The chicken was so juicy, flavorful and tender. Collards were seasoned well and don’t get me started on the mac and cheese.. I can easily be sat in front of a whole plate of that. I wanted to call after my meal just to say thank you to whoever is in that kitchen. Thank you angels! Everyone go get yourself a platter and a yummy juice or soda. Kid-friendliness: My son has milk allergy and I was able to get the Caribbean J*** rice lettuce tomato and the side dish of beans and something else and it was like under $25 and we got Mexican soda and a dessert we shared the Mexican soda but he couldn't have the dessert cuz it wasn't dairy free the whole family was able to share the largest dish so it was enough for the whole family“

“Chances are when you go there's gonna be a line, but that's minor because it moves quick and it's definitely worth the wait. Been coming here for years and haven't been disappointed yet. Food always good and the serving size is a lot. You can either order your food to go, or go next door and dine in.

Bought the red snapper escovitch and it was not good at all, the fish tasted frozen and off to have spent $27 I was very disappointed.“
